I recently purchased a loden shooting jacket in their sale and I am delighted with the quality of the product. I have several shooting jackets that cost me £500 / £600 and albeit they are good products they are overpriced compared to the excellent jacket I recently bought on Alan Paige (AP) website. Last year I received an AP tweed shooting vest and cap as a birthday present and wear both regularly rough shooting and dog training. The vest and cap are both well made, excellent quality and great value money. If your thinking of buying a new shooting jacket check out the AP range of jackets, you could save yourself quite a lot of money and get a great quality jacket for half the price of similar products on the market..

My husband has bought Alan Paine sweaters for over 50 years. We ordered 3 and shortly after wearing them there was heavy piling.We called the company and they asked us to wash them. We washed one which caused further piling, shrinking and a small hole. The sweaters were sent back for examination after which Alan Paine is sending them back. The decline in quality and rude customer service is disappointing after being a loyal customer for so long. They do not stand by their products nor do they care about customer loyalty.

Purchased a Berwick Shooting jacket in October 2018 and have worn it thru' the winter. Kept me warm and dry in the most challenging conditions. Well made. Tho' I've had trouble with the 'Napoleon' zip pocket, getting caught in the lining.
I was surprised, however, at the cavalier reply to an email I sent recently to Alan Paine asking for some advice on how to mend an L shaped tear under the pocket, caused by another owner's dog whilst out training my own dog. Due to the waterproof coating, I asked what fabric glue to use to try and repair the jacket but was told they don't sell glue and to take it to a tailor!. I'm still looking for suitable fabric glue as I'm rather fond of the jacket. They did reply by return but not very helpful.

Received within 48 hours of ordering (on a Sunday). Sizing can be a bit of a gamble ordering online but not in this instance. Perfect fit and excellent quality. Absolutely delighted. Great price as ordered during winter sale.

I have been ordering items from Alan Paine for a few weeks now. Some items were great, others just so/so. ALL items have been size 48.

Today my very expensive wool tweed jacket and vest arrived. The sleeves on the jacket are more than 2 inches too long (jacket size 48) and the vest has a body length 2 or 3 times over what my other 48 gilet has.

I sincerely hope they don't expect me to pay for return shipping from the USA. They still haven't returned my email.

BOTH ITEMS cannot be fixed by tailoring. My loss would be over $500 due to lack of quality control by Alain Paine.

Really upset about this.

UPDATE :

The company acted in a stellar manner. I was sent a pre-paid shipping label and my money was promptly returned.

I would shop here again if they fix the sizing issues.

Buenos días: soy cliente de la firma desde hace mas de 30 años.- Han sido unos jerseys que siempre he llevado con orgullo, no en vano el precio que vale es del triple de una prenda de características similares; el mancharse es una tarea casi imposible, jamás le salían bolitas etc.etc. Pero que ha pasado con el último que me he comprado aquí en Jerez de la Frontera, España, de color corinto, que desde el primer día que me lo puse, le salieron una cantidad de bolitas de lanas increíbles, al dueño del establecimiento que me lo vendió, le lleve el nuevo y uno de los que tengo antiguo para que viera la diferencia, me dijo de esa calidad ya no vienen, y digo yo, si de esa calidad ya no vienen, porque seguimos pagando los altísimos precios a los que los venden si el resultado es igual al que cuesta una tercera parte.- créanme que me encuentro en estos momentos estafado. tengo prendas de color amarillo, celeste, verde, beig , azul, y el ultimo el recién comprado corinto. me gustaría que al menos me explicaran si ya no son de lana merina, ?o que pasa¿ asi que espero vuestra respuesta. un saludo

Ordered a tweed shoulder cape for my wife for Christmas. No problem with ordering process or delivery. When my wife opened her present, it was clear that stitching work around the button hole was very poorly finished. After some deliberation, decision was made to return cape for a replacement. Unfortunately, all I received back was a short one line email saying sold out of style, colour and size, and I would be getting a refund. So much for that then, I'll go and buy the cape from Holland Cooper instead !!

I've purchased a tweed blazer at a very good price. The blazer is beautiful and the fit is perfect.

I have worn Alan Paine clothing in the field and during my leisure time. It is well made, stylish and the service offered by Alan Paine is worthy of praise.

The only difficulty would be to make a better choice with larger sample ( on the internet ? ) about the colour / shade .

Ordering on-line was very easy and I received my order very quickly. I am really pleased with the quality of the fleece which fits/zips perfectly into the AP jacket I already had.

Outstanding quality and design for the price. I was worried that my son's long arms were an issue - no, a perfect fit and he can't wait for it to either get cold or the shooting season to start.

Great choice of colours and sizes at reasonable prices. Was easy to order online. When item arrived it was better than I expected, and I am really pleased with the colour, and texture of the geelong wool. Still need to see how it comes up after a wash but am confident it will keep its shape.

The Alan Paine shirts I've bought previously from various shops in Glasgow have been first class, so I thought I would go on line and order some more. My order was processed and dispatched within 24 Hrs, and had reached UPS in Cumbernauld by Friday the 10th, where sadly it still lies. Every day this week I have used the tracking system and been told it is on the van and out for delivery, so my wife has waited in every day for this delivery to arrive. After four days of this I called to complain, the gentleman I spoke to told me he would check it out and call me back, however a short time later a lady called me back to say that she was now checking it out, that she had spoken to UPS and would have an answer within the hour and call me back. I'm still waiting for that call. Even if she hadn't heard from UPS she should have called me back to update me. I have just checked the tracking again, and yet again they say it will be delivered today, but sadly we cannot stay in today!! It's a shame that a company supplying a product you like and are very happy with cannot use a reliable delivery company. It's an experience I will not forget.
Well my shirts have finally arrived and will be going back immediately.
Prior to ordering I called to check the sizing of the shirts compared to those I already had as I am 6'5" tall and require a long shirt.
I explained this to the lady I spoke to, who told me that they were of a similar size and "are of a generous length" What a joke, they are in fact around 6" shorter than my existing shirts.
Again left very disappointed !!
