Total scam
This was, by far, the worst online purchasing experience of my life. My husband and I ordered 2 bikes on 2 different bank cards because we could get a $100 discount. First there was confusion over the color of the bikes and once that was resolved they were supposedly shipped, told 7-10 days to arrive. At no point did we ever get a working tracking number. When we tried to call, no answer. Emailing we would get responses that were illiterate and vague. After weeks of no bikes, no tracking, we finally got aggressive and said to cancel the order. We were refunded the money for one bike but were told that the second bike had been sent to Aloha freight and that it was lost and until it was located, we couldn't be refunded. We told Addmotor that wasn't our problem, it was between them and the freight company and they still refused a refund. After months of this we filed a dispute with our bank and finally got our money back. We are certain that this was just a scam. We tried calling the freight company, using the number Addmotor gave us and it was a non-working number. We don't have much money and saved to splurge on E-bikes and this company tried to steal $3500 from us. It was an exhausting, stressful experience!!

I have found many losses in this world
I have found many losses in this world. The problem is sometimes within ourselves and how we see things. I have had some problems with Addmotor, and it hasn’t been fun. But this is something that I need to learn from and make the best out of. There is only one person that I have been dealing with, email after email. I would rather hear a voice get a phone call. This is not happening with Addmotor and still till this day no one has called. Addmotor deals with FedEx, that is not a very good shipping company, I have had nothing but problems with FedEx. One time FedEx shipped my package to another state. I would never ship FedEx, if it was one time they made a mistake with the shipping, then ok, we can deal with that, but over and over. I told Addmotor that I didn’t want to deal with FedEx but if this is their shipping company then I have to go with it. To tell you the truth, I believe Addmotor is trying to do the best they can, but they have other things they are dealing with. I told them that I am not against them but I want to work with them. I found this problem with the torque lock washers, they will brake causing the front axle to turn and spin the motor. You can not find these torque washers anywhere, I believe they are very cheap made and no one wants to use them. I have this 750 Bafang motor and it’s got some power. I can’t understand why the axle would turn. I took the front tire off with the motor, I had someone who knows ebikes, and he just couldn’t understand because everything seemed fine. Is this an on going problem with Addmotor, I don’t know. It would be nice to talk with a technician and resolve this issue. I would rather fix the problem and move on. I will not use the torque lock washers that comes with the trike M340. I went on Amazon and found another kind. I have sent the rim with the motor, the display and controller by FedEx back to Addmotor. I just now have to see what Addmotor will do. It would be nice if I could talk with them and decide if this is a recall. I went and looked if I could buy parts for this trike, it’s my only transportation, I wanted it up and running. I talked to so many people, it’s a 24” tire, all they have is 20” and 26” and some don’t even have fat tire. For me to get a controller I have to change everything. So I got in touch with this guy who sells ebike parts, he talked with me on the phone for about an hour. I ended up buying a display and controller from him. When it came I hooked it up just to see if the motor would turn. The motor did turn but there was something wrong. A reading came up motor position error. But after closely looking at this controller I seen that I have to change everything and I will lose the lights because there is no connection for that. I then sent an email to Addmotor, they did get back with me, asking if I would send the motor, display and controller back to them. They told me that it will be a few days before they can look at it. They did say that they are going to do everything they can to help me. I told them that actions speak much louder than words, I am with you not against you. I have depended on this trike for my transportation and now after only two weeks of having it, all I can do is just look at it. FedEx still has the package saying it will be there by the 27th, Monday of June. I believe Addmotor before I believe FedEx. I am just looking forward to the outcome of all this, I just hope the end is better than what the beginning has been
I am having the worst time with this…
I am having the worst time with this company. I have a three month old bike with a broken axle. Don’t ask me how that happened I haven’t hit anyone and no one has hit me. I am waiting going on 12 days for this axle after reporting it on June 1. They told me they were sending the axle and give me a FedEx number but didn’t send the package and then blamed FedEx for not scanning it or something like that. Is there anywhere else I can get parts for this bike.?
This seems like a pretty beefy bike and it is a pleasure to ride but dealing with this company is giving me so much buyers of remorse I wish I had bought something else especially at the $3000.00 price.
I would have done better buying a Walmart brand.

Addmotor sucks
4000 spent. Batteries quit in a couple of months and they won’t honor thier warranty. Don’t buy this junk

!!!AVOID!!! This company is the biggest nightmare of my purchasing life experience. They sent me a damaged bike that was missing the battery, the charger, and all the accessories. They were pleasant, but never offered solutions that were reasonable, causing the process to drag on and on and on and on for months! *I made the STUPID mistake of buying via PayPal*, so I was unable to protect myself- PayPal uses Artificial Intelligence that favors the merchant 100%.
They wanted me to send the bike back, which means taking it apart, repacking each component into a box (one that I would have had to BUY because the one it came in was pulverized in shipping), AND figure out how to get a 100lbs box, that doesn't fit into a regular car, to a shipping center BEFORE THEY WOULD GIVE ME A REFUND!!! They also refused to send me the missing parts OR replacements for the damaged parts, even after having the bike professionally appraised! They would ONLY accept my sending the bike back, at my expense, or I was screwed. Good luck getting a battery, because it's sold out everywhere- which makes this look like per-meditated fraud.
Only AFTER I had already submitted all the legal paperwork, I had to PAY A PROFESSIONAL FOR, to PayPal (a process I started after a full month of wasting my time trying to negotiate with ADDMOTOR staff)... did they finally offer to pay for return shipping, and have a courier come get it. But then PayPal's automated response to my case, decided that I would have to return the bike, at my expense, pay for insurance, AND pay for signature delivery (which ADDMOTOR didn't even do for me- they just had the destroyed/looted box left in my yard until I came home). Since PayPal made that outrageous determination, they stopped communicating with me altogether.
I've reported this criminal company to Better Business Bureau (THEY ALREADY HAVE A FAILING SCORE), and still they refuse to honor their warranty OR their own emails. I may have no choice but to take legal action, or have them ROB ME BLIND. They need to go bankrupt- they are thieves and grifters.
Decent bikes, terrible customer service
The Addmotor adventure started out rocky with the site saying that my e-bike was "in stock and ready to ship." That turned out not to be the case, and I was stuck waiting for two weeks before it shipped out. Two weeks isn't the end of the world, however the only reason I ordered from Addmotor rather than a competitor was due to the misleading "in stock and ready to ship" tag line. When I reached out to them about the matter, they didn't really seem too vested in the issue outside of what appeared to be a, "Please don't cancel," attitude. While that bothered me, I tried to not allow the shipping issue to influence my review too much. After all, the experience is more than just the time it takes to get to you.
So when the bike finally arrived, the box was busted up. I wouldn't say that it was trashed, but it was far from great condition either. I was a bit worried looking at the box, but crossed my fingers and hoped for the best. The unboxing found that my seat was scratched up and nicked in about 10 to 15 places with some of the scratches and nicks penetrating the seat cover entirely. I frowned, but pressed on. I found that the parts were not laid out or packaged in the manner the manual claimed, but was able to find most of the components. I say most, because the mounting hardware for the fenders and headlight were missing. I frowned again.
I decided not to be too bothered by the seat nor the missing hardware (I wound up buying parts at the local hardware store and proceeded to "MacGyver" my $1800 investment), because I figured that after I reached out to Addmotor to report the issues, they would offer to make it right. Well, that was two weeks ago, and they haven't even bothered to reply. Unfortunately, that tells me that my problems with misleading shipping times share something in common with the damaged and missing components, and that is that they all seem to trace back to poor customer service and a lack of empathy and customer care.
Aside from the shipping issues, the bike performs rather well. Both my son and I do get a special thrill out of being on a bicycle and accelerating uphill. That is a cool feeling. There are certainly things that could perform better (like the brakes) without fine tuning, maintenance, and tweaking, but all in all I think we are more pleased with the bike than we are with the company that sold it to us. That's about as honest as I can be with this review.
Addmotor complaints aside, it's pretty cool to be a part of the "fat tire e-bike family."
