My experience with World4You has been extremely disappointing and has had a direct negative impact on my business.

I have a domain and hosting package with World4You that I use only for a very simple landing page consisting of a single HTML file and for my business email accounts. My website does not use PHP, databases, or any advanced functionality.

In 2024, my website suddenly stopped working. When I contacted World4You support, I was told that the issue was related to a PHP version upgrade and that I would need to pay approximately €60 for this upgrade. I repeatedly explained that my website is a simple HTML page and does not require PHP or a database. After several discussions, their support team eventually restored access to my website and email services without any PHP upgrade being performed.

In June 2026, I received a renewal notice claiming that I had not paid for my domain and hosting since 2025. According to World4You, I must now pay for the 2025–2026 period, the 2026–2027 renewal period, and the €56.20 PHP upgrade fee from 2024, despite the fact that no PHP upgrade was ever requested by me or implemented on my website.

I strongly believe that I paid for the 2025–2026 renewal, but unfortunately I currently do not have access to my account to verify the payment history.

What makes this situation even more frustrating is that World4You did not suspend my services throughout 2025 if they genuinely believed that my renewal had not been paid. The website and email services remained active, which naturally led me to believe that my account was in good standing.

I informed their support team that I am willing to pay the legitimate renewal fees for my domain and hosting because my business has been affected by losing access to my email accounts. However, they insist that I must also pay the disputed €56.20 PHP upgrade charge. I have email correspondence from their own support team confirming that my website is a simple HTML site and that the PHP upgrade was not something I requested.

To make matters worse, I requested access to my customer account so that I could review my records and pay the renewal fees directly. Instead, I was told to deal with a third-party debt collection agency, Lowell Group, and I am now expected to pay additional collection fees as well.

Overall, I find this situation highly unprofessional and very disappointing from a customer service perspective. I cannot understand why:

I am being charged for a PHP upgrade that I never requested, never approved, and never used.
My services were not suspended in 2025 if World4You truly believed that my renewal fees had not been paid.
My domain and hosting were renewed for 2026–2027 without my explicit agreement, yet I am now being held responsible for those charges.

As a long-term customer, I expected transparency, clear communication, and reasonable support. Instead, I have faced disputed charges, restricted account access, and debt collection involvement before being given a fair opportunity to resolve the matter directly.

Based on this experience, I am extremely dissatisfied with the way World4You has handled my account and customer support requests.

I appreciated the removal of extra charges as your below reply. However, when I want to pay the share bills, your system replies that I cannot have access to my portal to pay because you have forwarded the bills to another BILL COLLECTION company that I have to pay the original bills, including the 3rd party overhead charges! It doesn't matter how many times I asked in my emails, but I only keep on receiving the same email from your team, the same, without knowing who that 3rd party company is and how much the total bill is that I have to pay them ?!!
You have blocked my account and access to your payment portal, and my business has stopped because of this for months without any proper response. Just send the final bill and the account number I have to pay. Why is it too hard to work with your company?

für mich "war" es früher sehr einfach mit World4You. Leider war! Man benötigt nicht immer eine Domain für die Ewigkeit, dafür vielleicht eine andere. Das ist !!!bei World4You!!! sehr schwierig aus meiner Erfahrung heraus. Bei anderen Anbietern wie z.B. Jimdo, die ich aus meiner Sicht sehr empfehlen kann. Dieser ist sehr KUNDENFREUNDLICH - dort wirst du automatisch "frühzeitig" informiert, dass du auch die Möglichkeit
noch hast, diese frühzeitig zu kündigen - diese ist bei World4You leider nicht so. Wenn du es erfährst bist du schon wieder für 1 Jahr gebunden und mal für eine Domain als (bei mir) Jahrzehnte treuer Kunde, gibt es auch kein Entgegenkommen. Das ist so, fertig DATUM erreicht, Bech gehabt - schade einfach - also, meine Domains die ich noch bei World4You habe, werde ich sicherheitshalber auf Datum kontrollieren und jetzt schon, auch wenn es ein Jahr ist - zu Laufzeitende kündigen. Wie ich aus einem Telefonat mit Ihrem Servicemitarbeiter, der sehr von oben herab, mir mitgeteilt hat. Es ist einfach so, glaube ich, dass da nichts rauskommt, ABER ich lasse mich eines besseren überraschen.

World4You war früher ein solider Provider – die Betonung liegt jedoch klar auf „war“. Die aktuellen Entwicklungen wirken zunehmend wie reine Monetarisierung bestehender Kundenbeziehungen. Anstatt – wie bei vielen anderen Anbietern üblich – veraltete PHP-Versionen im Rahmen des regulären Betriebs zu aktualisieren, wird für einen sogenannten „PHP Extended Support“ eine zusätzliche monatliche Gebühr verlangt. Diese Vorgehensweise erscheint zumindest zweifelhaft, insbesondere wenn eine solche Kostenpflicht vertraglich nicht transparent vorgesehen war.

Aus meiner Sicht ist hier erhöhte Vorsicht angebracht. Wer Wert auf transparente und kundenorientierte Leistungen legt, sollte Anbieter sorgfältig vergleichen.

Kompetenz, Hilfestellung, Freundlichkeit

Ich bezahle für meine eigene Website, auf die ich keinen Zugriff habe, obwohl ich seit Jahren denselben Benutzernamen und dasselbe Passwort verwende. Das gibt es nirgendwo außer bei world4you. Der Support ist so schlecht, dass man ewig auf eine Antwort wartet, und wenn man sie dann endlich bekommt, hat sie nichts mit der eigentlichen Frage zu tun.

Ich hatte keine Zugangsdaten mehr und der Kundendienst hat schnell und kompetent geholfen ohne KI Gelaber, sondern menschlich!

Sehr gute Betreuung, prompt und verlässlich!

Absolut perfekt! Dank dem fantastischem und sehr netten Support kann auch ein Laie in Windeseile eine Website erstellen. Wenn ich da nicht anrufen könnte, ich würde verzweifeln.
