In behalf of Craig Russell; Having been living with MS, overheating has always exacerbated my symptoms. It's so important to me to maintain a level of fitness but I have often found exercise difficult when my body temperature increases.

In recent years, MS has affected my mobility and I now use a wheelchair so I have a specially designed exercise bike which I can use when sitting on the chair. I also use a home gym which again, I lift weights without having to transfer from my wheelchair.

I found I was overheating even more which not only limited the time I could exercise, but it took quite a while to recover making the normally straight forward task of transferring from my chair to the couch very difficult.

When I stumbled across WheelAIR I was really intrigued (and if I'm honest a little sceptical!) about how this product could help me. We dropped in to meet Corien who explained the benefits and offered a 2 week trial which would allow me to test it out. There was absolutely no sales pressure which I had been a little worried about; if it didn't benefit me I could simply hand it back.

I can honestly say that this has made a difference to me. I am able to exercise for longer, my back is dry and its definitely not taking me as long to recover. The back rest is really comfortable and the design is discreet. I am currently going through a severe bout of fatigue which is a common symptom of MS and I am really optimistic that when this passes, the benefits of WheelAIR will be even better!

I would definitely recommend that you give WheelAIR a go and see if it could help you. The customer service is excellent and there is absolutely no sales pressure.

The service I received was excellent making me feel special. I had quite a few conversations with Rebecca, the help and advice she gave me was great.
I know my lady with LD is going to love the WheelAIR especially during the hot weather. Keeping her cool and comfortable, taking away the stress and agitation of being hot and sweaty.

I first met Laura and Corien at Naidex earlier this year and was instantly intrigued about the wheelAIR as i had been struggling for some time to regulate my body temperature due to multiple health conditions. It was a very hot arena and within an hour i started to overheat and feel unwell so popped back over to their stand. i transfered over into one of their demo chairs and within a few minutes i was so much cooler and felt like i could carry on and enjoy myself there. shortly after Naidex i had to fundraise to get a new wheelchair and knew i wanted to get the wheelAIR. I was fortunate enough to be chosen as a wheelAIR PRO and be part of a focus group to help give our input and to spread the word.

After a ridiculously hot summer(for the UK) I can honestly say i would have been completely lost without my wheelAIR! I was able to actually enjoy being out in the heat and keep active over the summer rather than being stuck inside in front of a fan. This has been the best summer for me in many years and it's hugely because of the freedom that the wheelAIR has given me. It's light, easy to attach to your chair,very comfortable and to charge it it's as easy as charging your phone and can either be done whilst it's still on your chair or you can take the fan unit off.

To anyone who struggles with temperature regulation and overheating I would definitely say to get in touch with the folks at wheelAIR and try one for yourself! Trust me, you wont be dissapointed!

I took receipt of my WheelAir just prior to travelling to Florida in August. Having been before I knew how uncomfortably sticky I could become in the high heat and humidity. The WheelAir made an immediate difference and I would highly recommend it to anyone. We had a minor issue with the battery indicator light and the company could not have done more to help us, even though the issue didn't affect the performance of the fan unit. The faulty component was swapped immediately with no fuss at all. If you are using your chair to play sports or just going somewhere hot, this will work for you.

What a product! It’s a breathe of fresh air – pun totally intended 🙂 wish I could give it more than 5 stars.

So easy to fit to my chair, the instructions provided are clear and concise. The charge is great, lasts well (although this will differ on personal usage amounts) and the remote control is easy to operate. The sound of the fans are so quiet you can hardly hear them which is good for me as it means I can have it turned on in my office and meetings.

Such an innovative product and definitely one I’m telling everyone about. It’s really helping me to keep cool in the wheelchair – yay! No more sweaty back!

The team behind WheelAIR are awesome too! Laura and Corien are always there to answer all questions and queries however silly and their responses are always quick.

Awesome for temperature regulation.
I've had my WheelAIR for about 8 weeks now I think. It is absolutely brilliant, I love it. As a back rest it's very comfortable and the cooling it provides is amazing. Almost silent, easy to control, lasts a good while and easy to charge and use.
I struggle with temperature regulation a lot of the time. So even on cool days I can sometimes overheat. The WheelAIR definitely helps to keep me cooler. It's very effective, lovely and cool even on the low settings. Its provides much needed relief.
It's also great when I've been exerting myself maybe self propelling up hills or long distances. Or to help cool down after a vigorous swim.
In hot environments it's a god send, riding the London underground on the Victoria line and it was like an inferno. I've never been so happy to have assitive tech with me. A little bit of bliss and serenity cooling down my back and me generally. I couldn't be happier with it.
It does add a little bit of weight onto your chair but it's worth it and it's not noticeable whilst using the chair.
