I've been waiting 2 weeks for this order and there is no contact from the so called courier service at all.
I've been in contact with John from Wattle and Reed who is super nice but offers no solution. I think this is just a scam and from what I can read here other people have experienced the same. Do not purchase from this company.

Dress took weeks to arrive. Once arrived it was NOT as described, they say it is. Neck ruffle is not a ruffle at all tight and sewn wrong, bottom of skirt ruffle is tight and pulled in not flowing like the photo. Cheap rip-off, better items in Tempo.

returns are to China, not an Australian company. You would have to send registered mail, very costly.

I have had better quality items from SHEIN and Temu. I ordered top & pant set that came from China & was nothing like the add. Got an email from John saying “ After carefully reviewing the photos you provided, our team’s assessment is that the item you received is consistent with the product shown in our online listing. The sizing also corresponds with the size guide provided on our website”. They offered a refund & I would be responsible for the postage or a cash back of 25%. “John” throughout the email refers the outfit as a dress. He also states it is an Australian online store but like I said, was shipped from China with Support operated from The Netherlands, with dedicated English-language assistance available for Australian customers. I was stupid for not looking this up before purchase. So so angry.

The dress I ordered from Wattle & Reed & the dress I received (directly from China!!) are NOTHING alike. I sent photos through to their team & someone called John said that his team had reviewed all my photos & deemed the dress "consistent" with their advertising for said dress!! To add insult to injury I'd have to return it directly to China at my own cost which would end up being more than the original price I paid. They offered me a 10% cash back. DO NOT order anything from this questionable establishment. If I could I'd give zero stars. Very angry customer!!

I ordered a dress after a promising ad on meta, after a while I asked where is my delivery, I was told by a super kind person that the courier was unsure re my address ( I live in a unit of two) which was written clearly. And for two weeks I’m receiving super nice emails that request either extra $25 for re delivery, or a refund. John claim that he’s not a bot, yes he’s completely powerless in any action. Despite all my suggestion we are down to refund or extra payment. All the terms and conditions are super promising yet no action and no dress. This is super frustrating. Anyone else experienced this?, I simply wanted a dress for a wedding in few weeks time! Very sad

Zero stars. The image of the dress I purchased was beautiful, flowy and depicted it on a small and larger lady. The dress I received was tiny, poorly made, synthetic fabric, and nothing like what was depicted in the image. It was horrible. I initiated the return process on the day I received the dress. The "bot" email responses were pleasant, but claimed it would cost $30 to return my dress to China, not Queensland, as they didn't have an Australian store. They offered 10% cash back to keep the dress. I negotiated back and forth and eventually settled for a 50% cash back, as I had no confidence if I posted it back I would even get a refund. Very, very dissatisfied with product, process, refund, every aspect of this company is horrible. I would NEVER EVER purchase from this fraudulent Chinese based company again. Stay clear.

Crap cheap product and they will not honour their so called return policy. Dodgy company from China. Avoid Avoid Avoid!!!

I ordered a black dress, looked lovely on the website, it was terrible, they offered refunds on the website. BUT no response to my refund requests. They do not deserve 1 star. No response, no tags on the item purchased, poor quality,

My experience was exactly the same as that posted by Barbara Fraser. When John refused to acknowledge that the dress I received was not the one pictured on their website I stopped communicating with him and contacted my bank. I had to send them photos but they are arranging a charge back so I will receive a full refund to my credit card. I hope this helps someone

I ordered a dress that was advertised by Wattle & Reed and the item that I received was a totally different finish to the one that was advertised.
I forwarded photos of the dress that I received and of the one that was advertised and John from Customer Service refused to acknowledge the difference. They said that I could return the dress at my own cost which amounted to a third of the price that I had paid for the dress as they stated that I received what was advertised and therefore it was classified as "A Return". They refused to acknowledge the huge difference in the photos that I forwarded to them.
They initially offered me 10% of the price of the dress back and then upped it to 30% after many emails backwards & forwards. I refused the offers as I should be entitled to a full refund because they did not supply the item that was advertised.
I think that their advertising is very misleading and very dishonest.
My advise would be not to deal with this company. They are very untrustworthy and fraudulent.

Products advertised on Instagram. The baskets I ordered were not as described, fabric colour not at all like the pictures even though a 20% variation may occur as mentioned on their website. Definitely not free standing. They look beautiful on Instagram, you will be disappointed. Totally a sham operation.

Do not waste you time and money with this company. It is definitely not Australian. The fabric was disappointing. It probably cost $5 to make in China. Sizing all wrong. They advertise a money back guarantee. I would say they had no intention of ever giving a refund. Cost of sending item back was $35. First offer they gave me was 15% of the original cost and I keep the item. I could only get them up to 40%. I am sure all email replies were AI.

If I could give -1 star, I would. Review is about the product, quality & refund experience.
Clothes made in China are not as described.
Quality is made with very poor fabric, the product you receive is not what is advertised and when it comes to refund, they will not provide a refund policy. They bribe you with % cashback offers and for you to keep the product.
I have returned it at my own expense and have lodged a Visa Merchant dispute, just incase they do not refund.
Do NOT deal with this company, its an awful experience

This company is a scam. Took my money and gave me a false tracking number. Then I got an email to say that my parcel couldn’t be delivered. I get my mail delivered to a post office so that was a lie too. I’m still waiting for my parcel which I very much doubt will ever turn up.

These companies are getting better at their scams by giving themselves names that would normally appear trustworthy. I did check reviews before I bought from Wattle and Reed and nothing seemed untoward until I received the product. Trust me, they are they same as every mainland Chinese scammer. I come from China, so I recognise the cut/paste language as soon as they respond. First it’s an offer of 10% because they say it’s “too expensive” for me to return to China (oh, but didn’t you say you were in Sydney)? Then it’s “why don’t you gift it to a friend?” Because I like my friends and I don’t reward people who steal from me. Then it’s an offer of 20%. Then I ring my bank with all the evidence and get the payment stopped at the Chinese end so these fraudulent companies don’t get a single penny and I get refunded in full. Then I write a review just like this and pray they get shut down and Karma comes for them.

Shocking. Quality is rubbish and there is no such thing as a return policy they suggest the offer. I’m still waiting for details although they do offer a 10% useless refund using the excuse this saves return shipping fees to china when product was delivered from Sydney??

Misleading Origin: The site presents itself as an Australian boutique, but items actually ship from China.Poor Quality:the clothing looks nothing like the advertisements, the fabrics is cheap, ill-fitting, and low quality. Advertised as a product worth $300 and on sale. Difficult Returns: The store wanted me to pay $38 to return the outfit as I wanted a full refund. Ended up having to agree to 50% refund and keep the outfit that I will never wear.

Absolute rubbish!! Sick of these idiots pretending to be someone there not🤬🤬🤬my own stupid fault for not investigating first.

The worst online experience, the product is not the product advertised! It’s a cheap, horrible version that does not in any way match what was purchased DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING THROUGH THIS WEBSITE!!!

Brought 2 outfits for $160 when they came they were not the same as in photos and very poor quality. On requesting to return the items I was offered 10% back as it’s expensive to return back to China. When ordering I also checked that this was an Australian company which they advertise. Do not purchase from this company ACC should shut it down
