Having had a bad experience with a previous move (with a different company) I was particularly grateful to the guys at Anthony Ward Thomas for making the experience so smooth. The guys they sent were all extremely polite and professional, and the packing and move went without hitch. What really stood out though was the thought they gave to the practicalities of unpacking everything once they had gone. Boxes were really helpfully labelled; significant effort was put into ensuring everything was where I would need it when it came to unpacking (even down to box placement); and nothing was too much effort, even when initial plans for where things would go needed to change. Even when everything was in and reassembled, they double checked that there was nothing else I needed form them before they left. And all of this they did during an intense heatwave, but still efficiently and carefully, despite the stifling heat. I am so grateful to all of them for taking so much of the stress out of the move, and would use them again in a heartbeat.

I spoke with Terance Puna, who was wonderful. It was a one call solution to my moving issue. The subsequent times I called I spoke with some of his colleagues who were all equally as knowledgeable and helpful. They showed up on time and performed as expected.

AWT moved us on the hottest day of the year but were unruffled, quick, efficient and courteous. We thought it would be a demanding day but AWT made the whole experience simple and easy. From the moment Charlie Parry came to quote our move we knew we were in good hands. They had been recommended by a mate who had used them recently.

On the day they came to pack with Neil as team leader they guys worked fast and fastidiously - all in good spirits and taking every request in their stride.

On the move day the weather was pretty vile and the rain only seemed to stop when we were all waiting for 2 or 3 hours for the money to transfer. As they started to unload at the new house the heavens opened but they carried on in good spirits to unpack - the house was much smaller and they worked hard to get it all in.

Shoutout to the guys who when all others had given up on getting our sofa into the living room - argued that he would find a way - he took it back to the van and calmly took the arm off - got the sofa in the room and put the arm back on. To say I was relieved was a massive understatement.

The box pick up was also great - when I got to the point I could not move for empty boxes and wrapping papers & bubble wrap they came and collected it.

The company webpage portrays professionalism with care and consideration for elderly persons taking the hard road of downsizing. In practice our experience was made special, they removed the pain of packing and eased the removal process. We highly recommend this company, their wonderful team and staff.

I booked this with a handful of days notice, and they packed and moved a two-bed flat into storage with no qualms or issues. They secured everything properly, they safely wrapped all fragile items, and they did it all with a smile and a friendly face. Really recommend!!

After waiting for nearly a year we finally found a place to call home. AWTR were easy to contact and organise the delivery of our stored items. The admin team as always were very helpful. We had 4 guys help with moving our stuff into the house and they couldn’t have been more helpful. They were professional and hard working. They finished in a few hours and made the process very smooth. Would highly recommend this company for your house move!

Second time using the team. Fabulous service once again. On time to both locations, so efficient with packing up a couple of last minute things as well as unpacking where I needed everything. We had to wait for the sellers and the guys were so lovely and understanding. Would 100% recommend to anyone.

I recently worked AWT on a commercial office move involving furniture and IT equipment, and they were outstanding from start to finish. The team was friendly, helpful, and nothing was ever too much trouble. They adapted seamlessly to the restrictions of a London City building, including loading bay rules, quiet working requirements, and long waits for service lifts.
