Very bad people, stay away from them

I had booked a flight online on the wakanow app in Gambia, come to find out there was a mistake with the booking so they asked me to pay extra which I didn't mind at first, so my flight was booked on the 23rd of september to fly on the 26th from Banjul, but because of the error the lady on the phone had to book again, I had asked her if it was the same time same date, she told me it was only a 15min difference, I go to the airport and they tell me that my flight was booked for the 26th of november, now she tells me it was an "oversight" on her end, after I had asked her many times to check if it's the right date and she confirmed it was. I do not recommend anyone taking Wakanow in Gambia, either go to the airport directly to book a flight or pay directly on the Airline website.

Wakanow posted fake flight schedule,I paid $328 online , they send me ticket that was different from what I booked only to tell me later that my refund will take minimum of 8 weeks and they can’t assure me that my money will be refund in full. Mathew.

Wakanow has completely failed to process my refund for over 10 weeks—despite confirming via email on April 8 that the refund would be completed within 6–8 weeks. I have received nothing but empty promises and delays since then.

Repeated follow-ups have been ignored or met with vague responses. I finally asked for proof of communication with the airline (Royal Air Maroc) to confirm that they even submitted the refund request—and to date, no such evidence has been provided. It honestly feels like I’ve been scammed.

This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced. If you value your time, your money, and your peace of mind, do NOT book with Wakanow. Absolutely disgraceful.

This is the worst company I've ever had the displeasure of dealing with.
They have become akin to a scam and I gave them so much benefits of doubt, yet I keep getting even more disappointed.
I should have read the reviews.
If this is the last company left to book my flight, I'd rather swim across the channel and walk across the Sahara, than use them.

The award for the worst brand of every year should go to WAKANOW without a contest. I have been trying to get a refund for a ticket I paid for and it's been six months with different delay tactics and unprofessional responses, they reduced my refund from 658 to 384 pounds and it's been six months with no refund. I will advise no one should deal with these fraudulent company.

This is the worst company ever. I spoke to one of their staffs and she mentioned to me that they are the best. Once you book a ticket, they will automatically decline your booking and ask you to pay £500 extra. She mentioned that they have to make profit and the prices on their website doesn't reflect the original price of the fare.

This is a terrible site. Please do not use it. The government should shut it down. I booked a hotel through them, but when I arrived, the hotel informed me there was no reservation in my name. I called Wakanow to ask why my booking hadn’t been made, and they claimed exchange rates had changed. When I asked about my money, they hung up and refused to answer any further calls. I ended up having to pay for another hotel on the spot.

AVOID this company! It is a criminal organisation. They refused to refund my overpayment for a hotel reservation, despite promising to refund within 24 hours. It’s been months. Horrible company!!!

Wakanow is a criminal organisation. Do business with them at your own peril. Just to refund a ticket has taken 5 months and still counting

Wakanow has the best flight prices and hotel deals. I booked my tickets myself on the website and it is seamless.

Wakanow is probably one of the most reliable sites in the country. You can count on them for your flights and trip planning. even better they offer the part payment options

My holiday experiences are always fun and seamless thanks to Wakanow, from flight bookings to hotel bookings and so on. So far so good it has been my one-stop cost-effective booking portal, a five star rating from me.

Haven't had any negative experiences with Wakanow so far. Booking the flight and ticket issuance were smooth. Decent customer service too; I had some inquiries. I'll continue using the service. If I encounter anything less than this, I'll be sure to write another review. 😄

My money is still stuck here as the flight they booked me in for didn’t fly on that day. I was even asked to pay more money for them to reroute me yet, I wasn’t rerouted and I have not been refunded. This is just since August, 2023. They claim the airline has not given them the money back. The Wakanow is a fraud. Please, avoid them. Book directly with the airline and thank me later.

They are thief scammers

First, I was manipulated with a cheap ticket I saw on wakanow web. Secondly, they will inform you that th booked flight has been cancelled and recommend a new flight. This is where your frustrations begin!
Welcome on board!!! I had a bad experience with the customer service. I called severally no response, even when they pick, the feel reluctant to speak!!

Buyer beware!!! These guys are looking for any opportunity to thief your money. Any mistake is punishable by forfeiture of your money. This is how they coveted my flight deposit of N278K because of name error that was pointed out few hours after booking the flight and paying the deposit. Note that there is no cooling off period or money back guaranty in Nigeria especially with this people.

Sometimes people’s reviews makes one to doubt Wakanow .
I was afraid to book my ticket with them. After a long deliberation, I booked my ticket, paid in full and received a quick response after my mail. Although, I was still afraid until after an hour plus, ticket was issued. I can only say that different people have their issue but, calling and mailing will always help.
