O Vrbo
Napisane przez firmę
Vrbo is a vacation rental platform for booking entire homes, and only entire homes. No shared spaces. No shared hosts. Just one place for you and your group to stay together.
Founded in 1995, Vrbo now offers more than 2 million vacation rentals across 190+ countries. From beach houses and cabins to condos and city apartments, Vrbo helps travelers find the right space for trips where privacy, comfort, and connection matter most.
What is Vrbo?
Vrbo is focused exclusively on entire-home stays, so you book the whole place to yourselves, not a shared room, shared space, or host-occupied home. That matters for travelers who want more privacy, more room, and one home base for family vacations, reunions, and group travel. Vrbo started as Vacation Rentals By Owner and still focuses on helping travelers book entire homes for trips that are better together.
Why travelers choose Vrbo
Not every trip is best served by a hotel room or a stay with shared spaces. Vrbo is for travelers who want an entire home where they can stay together more comfortably. With a Vrbo vacation rental, travelers can:
How does Vrbo work?
Booking on Vrbo is simple:
Book with confidence
Vrbo helps travelers book with confidence through clearer information upfront. Listings can include:
Support you can trust
Every booking is automatically backed by VrboCare. If a significant issue affects a covered stay, Vrbo will help travelers find a similar place or receive a refund when eligible. Vrbo also offers customer support 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, with help available through chat and phone. And because trust also means privacy, interior cameras, shared homes, and unannounced visits from hosts are not allowed on the platform. Together, these protections help travelers book with more confidence and fewer surprises.
Rewards through One Key
Vrbo is part of One Key, a free travel rewards program that lets you earn and use rewards across Expedia, Hotels.com, and Vrbo. Members can earn up to 2% in OneKeyCash on vacation rentals and use rewards across eligible bookings on all three brands. Members also get instant Member Prices on hotels through Expedia and Hotels.com:
*Terms apply. OneKeyCash is earned on eligible bookings, and redemption is limited to eligible bookings and participating vacation rentals.

I can't send or see messages from the owner of the property. This may not be your fault but I need to confirm that we have rented the property.

We have dealt with VRBO for many years and have always been happy with the experience. I was a little surprised that I was charged for the entire amount right away as opposed to a certain amount now and then the balance at a later date. I did not realize this was going to happen. I also have requested the site that we are going to stay at provide us with a few more photos particularly showing the bathroom etc. Otherwise, I have always been happy with our experience with VRBO. Sincerely , Judith McDermott

When I was viewing the property over the course of a day or two, although I was in my profile (CAD) the price would change periodically from CAD to USD although it was still showing CAD in my profile at the top of the page. It wasn’t until I was actually trying to book that it showed, in smallish print, that it was being charged in USD. A little disconcerting when trying to decide whether to book.

unauthorized extra charge
I have a vrbo payment that is unauthorized on my CC. I booked a vacation through VRBO and have paid in full through the Host Rental in Palm Springs and I also see this charge over and above my agreed upon price on my CC from VRBO Fee $490.81.

The initial booking went through on my cc but VRBO had no record of it so really caused some stress on my end. I phoned my bank and was told pre auth has been cancelled. I only wish VRBO had that info when i called them to confirm booking..which they said it wasnt. I phoned back and had really great guy help with booking over the phone which was successful second time around. All good now but initial booking was abit crazy. Accepted payment but not booking? Rectified now..5 stars if not for first booking attempt which caused alot of worry. First time using VRBO so unfortunate but CSR was very helpful in the end. Thanks, Paul
