My Experience with Visme
I recently subscribed to Visme to create visually stunning and engaging presentations for my educational and upskilling online courses, and I am absolutely delighted with my purchase.
Not only does Visme provide a powerful suite of creative tools, but it also includes audio and screen recording capabilities, making it a three-in-one integrated package for content creators.
The platform is extremely easy to use thanks to its intuitive user interface. For those with limited IT experience, Visme offers video tutorials and a responsive technical support team.
I have already uploaded my first course to Udemy, and it successfully met all of Udemy’s technical requirements. Impressively, after submitting my course on Monday, it went live the very next day—Tuesday!
Below are some of the features I find most valuable:
1. AI-Generated Audio
This feature is outstanding. Online learners sometimes struggle to understand an instructor’s accent, and the AI-generated audio overcomes this challenge. The diction, tone, and delivery are excellent. There’s also a range of natural-sounding voices to choose from, and I can customize the narration using voice instructions.
For instance, I often instruct my preferred voice, “Shimmer,” to “speak slowly.” My subscription includes 500 monthly credits, with each credit covering one recording.

2. Built-in MP4 Player
This feature is invaluable since the MP4 format is required for uploading videos to Udemy.

3. Extensive Media Library
Visme provides a library of high-quality photos and videos, which I love integrating into my presentations to give them a polished, professional look.
It offers 3D virtual assets—including characters, scenes, objects, and graphics. I’ve been experimenting with cartoon-style figurines and sequences, which can be customized in terms of skin tone, clothing, and poses. The duration of these animations can also be synchronized with the audio, making them perfect for visual explanations and storytelling.

4. Beautiful Templates
The range of templates is impressive. They are highly customizable, and it’s even possible to combine slides from different templates. Changing theme colors takes just one click, which makes design adjustments fast and effortless.

5. Accurate Table Formatting
I appreciate that when I upload tables—such as those containing tax calculations—the original formatting is preserved. The columns and rows remain perfectly aligned, ensuring that numerical data looks clean and professional.

6. Text Animation
I love animating text—making it fade in or float in—which brings the presentations to life and gives them a refined, dynamic finish.

7. Brand Kit Feature
The Brand Kit is another excellent tool. It allows one to maintain consistent branding across projects.

Overall, Visme has exceeded my expectations. It’s not just a presentation tool—it’s a comprehensive, creative platform that allows educators like me to produce professional-quality courses with ease, efficiency, and style

Ich habe heute ein Abo abgeschlossen - Vorsicht! Bei Abschluss kommen rund 150 usd dazu, das finde ich schon mal sehr dreist. Beim Versuch, ein Dokument zu bearbeiten, waren wichtige Features nicht zugänglich - dafür bräuchte ich die nächst teure Option! Und ich bekam sofort eine Email mit der Option zum Upgrade zum nächst teuren Modell. Das ist einfach nur Abzocke und zeigt sehr deutlich, dass der Klient hier keine Rolle spielt, sondern nur sein Geld.

Ich habe dann sofort versucht, per Widerruf das Abo zu stornieren. Es wurde Null Kulanz gezeigt, obwohl ich wirklich sofort stornieren wollte.

Klar, müssen sie nicht, aber wie gesagt, man kann Kunden (und ihr Netzwerk) auch sehr schnell verprellen - und zwar langfristig.

Auch auf diese email werden sie - wie bei anderen auch - dagegen argumentieren, und das finde ich einfach nur peinlich.

I find it easy to use and it has a good range of templates and design options.

The amount of effort they make to quietly charge you excessive monthly fees, and so carefully planned, diversified ways, to prevent you cancelling your subscription is annoying.

The templates look like they are very helpful, and look better than Canva. I can't wait to load my brand into see how the brand kit works.

Visme support was helpful with my cancellation. I was able to get all of my requests done within a couple of days. It did take a couple rounds of messaging but not a big issue. I will definitely be using Visme again for my next Presentation. Thank you guys for the great platform.

Customer Service for cancellations
I upgraded to a premium service too early thinking I would need the additional credits to get the results I wanted. Within 18 minutes of having the upgrade I realized that this premium version was not what I thought it was, at this point I had the membership for under 20 minutes and had used none of the features for a premium membership. I did cancel and requested a refund from CS explaining that I have not even used the features when I realized this is not what I need. The CS response was swift and firm to let me know that regardless of my experience or expectations I signed the Terms and Conditions, and they will not assist me with any refund. Obviously they are entitled to this, however I do think it is representative of the company overall - they don't care about your overall experience or if they add value to your creation, they only care about your payment. Proceed with caution, ensure you understand the limitations and bugs with the product before you upgrade to avoid a situation like mine.

I trialled Visme and had to upgrade twice in an hour for the pro package specifically for their AI design features after seeing their marketing claims about AI-powered content creation. What a waste of money. AI Assistant crashed after just 2-3 prompts every single time. AI explicitly told me it "cannot access uploaded brand data" completely contradicting their advertising. Essential AI features were locked behind additional paywalls, making proper testing impossible
without the upgrades. The core AI functionality simply doesn't work as described.

When I contacted support about these clear failures, they refused to acknowledge the AI doesn't work as advertised, denied any refund despite the service being fundamentally broken, hid behind their terms and conditions rather than fixing obvious problems
Showed zero interest in resolving legitimate technical failures. In essence i paid 60 dollar to trial it for on hour only to find it did not in any way offer what was claimed. I had researched extensively and was very disappointed that this service just did not work. It offer a range of basic templates and all their AI does it upload your words into the template.
If I tried to suggest colours it crashed, if i tried to upload something it crashed.
As a UK consumer, their refusal to refund a non-functional service violates basic consumer protection laws. Services must work as described, this one categorically doesn't.

Save your money. Their AI features are not ready for market, their customer service won't help when things go wrong, and they'll keep your money even when their product fails to deliver basic functionality.

The app was user friendly and the formatting was good.

They offer a lot of templates but where I hint a wall is not being able to download my work. I found Visme via goggle and assume that it function like Canva and it does expect for needing a subscription.

Great templates, good UI. However, the Google link to Visme EXPLICITLY states that you can create and download images for free. When you try to download the files it forces you to pay. This is blatantly false and deceptive advertising. So your time creating will be wasted if you just need a quick project.

Update: Visme's reply validated that the Web link headers are false information. If you can't download it for free, it's false advertising.

I was somewhat happy with the products and tools. But when I tried to unsubscribe they made it into a Kafkian nightmare to get to the unsubscribe part, with trick questions and UX that tried to get you to push the wrong buttons.

Big shame that's how to try to keep you.

Okay, I am trying to remain calm. Deep breaths. It specifically said FREE template, so I spent ages making a timeline for my non-profit, it was easy to use, I loved the result. IT WONT LET ME HAVE IT. The download is behind a paywall. This website is a liar and I hate it. If you make something and would actually like to use that thing. DO NOT USE VISME

I have been using Visme for the last 2 years and the UI has evolved and is polished and easy to use. Designing a presentation is easy with sophisticated layering + grouping capabilities (like how you are used to Adobe Photoshop) and intuitive alignment capability with Snap to Object and Smart guide functionality which makes getting the perfect alignment a breeze. As alignment forms a major part of design, having a powerful and easy to use alignment features accelerates visuals creation. Visme's user education content is top notch, they have put in enormous amount of effort to create stellar content that helps a lot with your design skills learning journey. The quality of the design learning content makes it worthy to invest your time, especially their ebooks which are quite detailed and relevant. To top it all off, their customer service is very responsive and prompt. I had a query about turning a specific feature off (displaying external link warnings) and customer service got it done within 2 days. Their product development cycle is around 3 weeks on average for a update to be pushed through which is pretty agile software development. This provides an advantage in that any bugs the user reports usually is taken care of in a matter of 4 weeks. Continued agile development of the product means that your time investment in learning the ropes on Visme's capabilities will remain useful for a long time. As visual design skills are getting more and more important, Visme is a solid choice to create your visuals.

I’ve been using Visme for over 6 years, and it’s been an outstanding experience. The platform is incredibly intuitive and user-friendly, making it easy to create high-impact content without needing advanced design skills. Its professional templates consistently elevate the quality of my reports and presentations, helping them stand out every time.

On top of that, their customer service is the best I’ve ever experienced—responsive, helpful, and genuinely committed to supporting their users.

Their platforms are easy to use and it is pretty much a drag and drop design. If you can create a Word document, you can make absolutely stunning marketing and advertising pieces that will WOW your customers, sponsors or partners. Recommend 100% to anyone looking for an all in one platform that will help you grow your reach and business!

Visme is looking to offer exactly what I require to display a portfolio of services and case studies to clients. The user interface is clear and concise and does not require vast prior knowledge of use of such platforms. The support team have been excellent in supporting me looking for the tools I require and hopefully the end result is what I have set out to acheive.

I had subscribed to Visme's competitor in past when I could not find for investor 1-pager pitch deck template, I switched to Visme and never looked back. It is much better and seamless compared to alternatives.
