I use this software to download YouTube videos and trim and stitch multiple short segments of my DJI drone footage together. DJI splits videos into 4GB segments to protect the file, and this software handles the stitching seamlessly. It works exceptionally well with my Apple M2 chip, utilizing four M2 cores simultaneously, which allows it to download four YouTube videos at once.

The software also efficiently stitches multiple video segments and has a user-friendly interface that makes it easy to order the segments in the correct chronological order before stitching.

For YouTube downloads, this software stands out because it allows you to download an entire playlist using just the playlist link, unlike other software that requires individual video links.

The Mac version is way behind the Windows version.

AI tools are not available.
The interface is not native to the Mac, also no dark mode.
The parts of the application, that works on the Mac, is buggy.

I have contacted their support about a timeline for AI tools on the Mac. Answer: Not available.

I described the bugs including screenshots and (per their request) screen recordings. Answer: By design.
Seriously? "By design"? When track listings of a DVD are incomplete, that is "by design". A case of adding insult to injury.

Sad, that I can't give more stars about the app and the service, because the app with its features and pricing seems a welcome addition to the Mac.

Update in response to VideoProc reply from June 18:

As noted in my review I have already reached out to DigiArty (makers of VideoProc) before writing my review.

A key point from the correspondence with VideoProc support was, that there is no timeline for AI tools on Mac. Time information is also missing in the June 18 response.

Likewise for support of dark mode: The answer was "no timeline". It is not mentioned in the June 18 response.

When reaching out to VideoProc I have already made constructive suggestions about the above and provided transparent and reproducible bug reports. At first they were discarded as "by design".

Good news: Since this review has been posted, tech support has come back and said that the feedback has been forwarded to developers. So that takes the insult away and only the injury remains.

Was using WinX Video Converter Deluxe since 2021 before they upgraded it to WinX Video AI. I used it for downloading Youtube videos, video conversion and compression. Still do - the upgrade offers more at no extra cost.
This new application is well thought out, runs as fast as the original WinX and has way more features. Just a word about AI Video enhancement...if a video doesn't have good lighting or lacks definition/depth in the subject vs background no AI program knows what to do yet so it looks really artificially smoothed. Basically the more light, the higher the dynamic range and the easier it is for the program to generate a believable video enhancement. Don't knock a program if you are not understanding the recommended guidelines.

Finally I don't recall the program ever crashing, having any bugs or failing a task. It has proved great for compressing video game clips so when uploading online I don't ever need to pay to get around upload limits such as on Streamable, Discord or other.

Back in 2009, when digital video streaming was still in relative infancy, I recorded a series of video conversations I had with my partner who I met in the same year. I've kept these videos to date (June 2024) which were in AVI format. Today I decided to convert some of these vids to MP4 and upon uploading the first AVI file, I was greeted with an option to render file 1 or 2. Essentially, VideoProc Converter AI had detected both sides of the original recording, my partner stream and my stream. I've always suspected and hope that both sides had been recorded but, Playing the file via Windows Media Player, VLC and even editing in Adobe Media Encoder, dropping it into Adobe Premiere and other video production apps have never given or displayed two video files, just one.

I'm sure there's probably apps out there that can detect and display what I describe above but as someone who's been producing videos for a couple decades, I haven't come across one that offers this functionality as a default setting.

Was wondering if VideoProc Converter AI would do anything to upscale my late 70's 8mm movies. It really works.. really improved everything, I had old 8mm movies on DVD so I took it off DVD and did a short 1 minute test to see. I went from 720p to 4k and everything improved a lot, sharpness, color smoothness. I bought 3-5 computer license version. Have it in fastest computer with NVIDIA 3060 card. Will try in older version also.

I recently changed computers from an old Mac Pro to a Mac Mini Pro M2. I had lost my registration code and the VideoProc Converter asked me to register the software. I emailed Digiarty for the code and received a reply within hours!
I then tried VideoProc converter on a 100-minute video and could not believe how fast the conversion was done from .MOV to .MP4

I can recommand VideoProc Converter AI to everybody. As a professional I use VideoProc Converter AI everyday! I'ts really the best Converter on the market. And last but not least very cheap comparing to other so called professional Converters!! Don't hesitate.

I mainly use the program to download YouTube videos for off-line viewing when I have no Internet connection. This always worked great, but recently some files would not appear in the destination directory. Everything else looked OK, it claimed success but no files. I have been back and force with the support desk, they where extremely patient, supportive, offered suggestions, and finally found the (my ;-) problem. The downloaded file name started with a "dot" character, and hence was hidden. In reality I had a ton of downloaded copies on my disk.

In summary: great product, great support. Highly recommended

Love their product VideoProc, I've used it for so many things since purchasing. I highly recommend it. Amazing customer service as well. I recently had to reinstall my computer and had to reach out to them regarding reinstalling. Not only did they reply quickly, they figured out my problem after a couple follow up questions. Very happy all around, great company.

After working with other converter programs I discovered the Videoproc converter and I have used it with great satisfaction since. I was able to digitize a lot of copies of my DVD collection completely with their subtitles. However I had a nasty experience recently when my lifetime licence was blocked because of an ad for the new AI version. By return they sent me my licence code and I could continue working with their great program. This fine service "re-installed" my confidence in this firm.

Had an issue with registering the software... support was prompt and professional and got the issue resolved quickly. Aside from that the product works as describe and is pretty comprehensive.
