First-Class Italy: Featuring Tuscany & Venice
My sister and I went on an eleven day trip to Italy with Great Rail Journeys. The trip was everything we could have hoped for. Our tour director, Elena Camodeca, was exceptional in every way. We had a group of 32 people and she was attentive to the needs of everyone. There were a couple of problems which were not under anyone's control. There was a strike of the rail workers in one area, so Elena arranged for bus transportation. A construction worker died at the Colluseum which interfered with the tour and she navigated that seemlessly as well.
The entire trip was well planned, the accomodations were great, transportation was well coordinated, and the tour guides were exceptional. The food was great!
By the end of the trip I felt as though I had made a new friend in Elena and would be interested in having her as a tour director for trips to come.

The holiday was extremely well thought out with just the right amount of day visits and free days. Emma was very good looking after us all. The hotel was perfectly positioned to take advantage of the town fascilities. If I am hypercritical the visit to Bilbao and the next day home made it two very tiring days
