I applied to User Interviews but quickly found most studies were duplicates. I kept getting repetitive emails for the same studies, even after rejecting them. The variety was very limited, and qualifying didn’t lead to clear answers—just more duplicate notifications. Easy sign-up, but overall frustrating and not worth the time.

They started off strong but are now the bottom of the barrel. They either won't pay you or let you finish a survey only to find out days later they labeled it as incomplete so they don't have to pay you. Customer service is of no use and any back/forth you do by messaging or emailing is a dead end.

If I could give zero stars, I would. Have done lots of research for different companies and never experienced such incompetent customer support. Was asked to complete a study that was task based - with remuneration by task. Only qualified and completed the first one, which after 8 weeks still haven’t been paid. Each time you ask customer support they send you the same standard response regardless of how much info and attachments you already provide. And now tell you, it will only be paid once the whole study is completed - but can’t tell you when that would be. They essentially just want to tire you out, don’t advise on escalation or complaints process. Just utterly disgusting! Will never work with them again!

You have to wait ten days for them to pay you after giving them your time and opinion. Their lack of speed done incentive is why I won't be returning. If they truly valued their participants time and opinions they would pay immediately or within at least 24 hours shouldn't have to wait 10 days and then they tell you to just message the researcher and they don't answer you so sounds like a pile of crap to me and annoying I wasted my time and still haven't gotten paid ridiculous don't waste your time

They sent me an invalid payment and now refuse to pay me. The company support is useless and they refuse to provide phone support. Basil Fakhoury and Dennis Meng need to revamp the support team because there is none now

User interviews besides with their researchers before they're participate I had an issue with a researcher so he did not let me finish explaining my work history and in the middle automatically said I would not fit for the interview however I passed the screening and was never paid for the $300 other interview that he had rescheduled three times prior without notice, waste of my time

This place is a scam! It used to be like other platforms that compensated for opinions and testing products but now you just get the runaround or dead silence after completing a project. It should be shut down.

The screeners are the research.

Too many times advised that I've been selected. Then follow up questions. But not getting paid.

Total waste of time, especially compared to other platforms, get your data emerged like me:

Everything started well, but the main issue is that I never received my payment. It was supposed to be sent to a Tango Prepaid card, but the card doesn’t work. I’m not the only one — it seems like many people are having the same issue, and it’s impossible to reach their customer service.
When I contact Tango or User Interviews, they both tell me to reach out to Prepaid, but you can only contact them through a U.S. number that costs a fortune.
In the end, I just wasted my time and lost $75. Honestly, it’s starting to feel like a scam.

Strong start, but weak finish for this company. Scheduled time with a researcher via Zoom; but researcher never showed. Contacted the company, and they said they would investigate. No response received; and then claimed I was not in the Zoom session. It’s a time waster, with no return on time invested. Don’t bother

They asked say they pay well but did not pay. I tried reaching out to the researcher and no response. I used the message form and no one is replying back. Be careful because they will ask for your social so they can pay you but will not

Most surveys are great and decently priced. I’ve noticed recently more and more surveys that have exhaustive qualification questions which can sometimes take upwards of 15 minutes to complete. These questions can be so detailed that they are actually a survey in themselves where they’re collecting data on habits and opinions under the guise of qualifying questions! Bit dishonest!

The site itself is good, the payouts are phenomenal really - much higher than other sites, but I have to say the customer service is lacking BIGTIME. If you should need their help in a timely fashion, don't expect it. They don't work that way. Other than that, good payouts and pretty straightforward. WORST support I have ever encountered.

I got accepted to do a study with my son. He spent half an hour completing his portion just for them to say they were looking for someone else. We had to do a screener before starting the project so I am guessing it is yet another company that uses your answers without paying you.

Good most times but had a bad experience recently. I did a 15 min survey (which actually took 30) for a $5 Amazon gift card. The researcher extended the date (deadline) so they gave them more time to pay out. It's been weeks with no paymt and no researcher response and when I contacted support, they said they could have weeks to pay as they are a third party company so the 10 day payout policy doesn't apply. Crazy. I'm guessing I never see this money, they need to tell their clients that on minimum amounts ie $20 or less they are required to pay out in a timely fashion.

I am extremely sad 😢 to write this review but UserInterviews owes me a $5 Amazon gift card after I COMPLETED a study for them. It’s been months of back and forth wasting my time trying to collect what’s RIGHTFULLY MINE and I’m disabled on top of this! THEY CLEARLY DON’T pay their participants and I would stay away from a sight that makes you work and doesn’t pay you! Outrageous!

userinterviews is SPAM. userinterviews are not respected researchers or academics.

In fact, they don't honor their agreements & they're argumentative. Don't trust this company, they're made up fake entities, fake names. The false researchers I was in contact with were Caitlin Limonciello & Emily Blount. Isn't Limonciello a drink? And Emily Blount an actor w/ an extra letter? This company seems full of fake identities. And done sloppy!

DO NOT trust userinterviews, my experience is they're scum!

Although I have done many surveys when it comes down to it I never get any further. A thank you is all. So it seems I already gave them what they want and all I get is a "thank you."
I recently received an Email saying there was a survey that I would be more likely chosen for but first they wanted me to share my photos. That would be easy since I am a photographer and copyright my work. Then it came down to where they wanted these photos of me. No way Jose!!!
To me that was a red flag. What were they going to do with photos of me? Too much deep fake and stolen identities for anyone to do that. You can't be too careful and need to protect youself and not give out personal info on the web.

Do not do any of the short, low paying unmodetated tasks. It will take you up to 4 weeks to get a payout. Studies that are 100 and above can be understood but for 7 to 25 dollar payment to take 3 weeks or sometimes 4 if the researchers move the deadline is unacceptable.

Very mixed feelings. everything what has to be done by app playbooks.com paybooksux never work properly! See how low are reviews of the app iteslf on trustpilot. i just spent more the 20 minutes to fill the survay, and it didnt upload! because of their error, so i wasted 20min for nothing, during the task insterface stucked for long time. previosuly i i did othertask with this app on the phone, interface was stucked several times, very annoying! it was also displaying first ux testing task where i choosed another. idk how it uploaded beacuse researcher said it wasnt done, but first one was complety done, and second opened with exactly as first and then i abandoned it, so stay away from playbooks. Recently interviewer disconnetec in the middle of the session and even i tried to connect many times an d conntact him he didnt repy, no he marked non show, but i took screenshots. So obviosly he used already given answers and dint want to pay so he dissappeard, veyr disspoint esp interview was schedluled on sick morning. another time resarcher asked me to download some app, this app tried to take over my phone, i wrote to customer service they didnt reply anything. just be aware they dont care about your security
