I have ordered from Universal-Solder for years, as far back as when they were in Manitoba. Always had a good experience. About six weeks ago I received two Uno boards that were defective. I was given a credit. Great!

I ordered two more UNO boards. When I received them, one of the boards had a piece fall off when I opened the package. The other one would not compile. the IDE would not recognize it, no matter what settings, port or choice of board I tried in the board manager. I contacted them and was asked to send the two boards back for testing. I did.

Nothing seems to be happening. I was told they are very busy. I emailed them several times, but got no response. That was a month ago and three or four subsequent emails. No response from Universal-Solder.

I e-mailed Universal and asked them, if he is not going to find time to help with this problem, please return the defective boards to me as I and some college friends may be able to fix them. No response.

Next, I ordered two LCD Adapters - IIC//TWI/SPI/I2C. I cannot get them to work with any of the 5 LCD boards I own. I’ve given up on complaining.

I’ll finish by saying, I have been playing with Arduinos for over 15 years now. I am a retired Electronics, Robotics and Process Controls Technician. I am not an amateur at this.

I would be very careful not to buy from Universal-Solder again.

The prices were good. Products were as advertised, and shipped well.

I’ve been ordering from you for quite a while now and have always (and still am) satisfied with my experience and my purchases.
One small oversight this order though.
One of the products (quantity 2) I ordered was SKU #26320 (2x Wemos D1 Mini Prototyping Boards), so I should have received 4 boards in total. I received 2 packets containing one board each for a total of 2 boards. Wondering if you can kindly send me two more boards.
A few other things I would like to mention. I like your website. I find it easy to navigate, I like how you categorize your products so it’s easy to find a product, and I like how you add product descriptions and useful links where you can. I also love how you send a paper invoice complete with pictures so if my little brain forgets what a certain product is, all I have to do is look at the pic along with the description and problem solved.

Order was exactly what I wanted at prices I can live with. I like supporting a reasonably local company (only 400kms away) over an online foreign megamart even if it means having to pay shipping. They don't always have everything I'm looking for but they always have things I didn't realize I needed until I started looking on their website ... dammit! 5 stars because they're good at what they do, they're Canadian, they're reasonable, and their stuff is usually good quality.

Just love Universal Solder, especially their periodic sales! There selection of electronic gadgets is perfect for the Grand Dad bringing a Grandson in to the world of electronics. Latest project is an audio receiver for our grandsons room based on modules from Universal Solder. Even with the Postal Strike items arrived promptly in the USA (California). Many Thanks.

Very handy to have a supplier in Canada for once! Decent selection of items for tinkerers and enthusiasts, especially for microcontroller projects. I've ordered from their website a few times this year and the orders always arrive quickly and complete, no parts missing. Even during the Canada Post strike they quickly pivoted to another shipper with only a small delay.
Only negative is some of the items don't have documentation and if you need further info you may be told to go check YouTube. Also I've noticed item reviews on their website must be approved before posting, and if your review is justifiably negative it never gets approved.
Nonetheless, I will continue to order from them because of excellent pricing and fast service!

My Universal Solder orders to date have always been complete and correct - in one case where an item was out of stock and not included, I was refunded the same day I pointed out the discrepancy !

The delivery was fast, and the item arrived in good condition, exactly as described. The quality is good for the price. I would gladly purchase from this company again.

The items ordered were received quickly and were well packed. The parts were used to make a Morse code detector and oscillator and all worked as expected.
