Never ever EVER buy from Universal…

Never ever EVER buy from Universal Music. I bought a copy of The Cure’s new album and it came damaged. I reached out and didn’t hear back. Eight weeks later I reached out again and finally heard back. They sent a new copy and it had the EXACT SAME ISSUE. Don’t waste your time or money with this company. It’s a waste of your time and energy.

Sent multiple messages over weeks then…

Sent multiple messages over weeks then months for an album, eventually I tried cancelling the order, but still no reponse. Curiously I got a shipping notice from them after I disputed the order with the credit card company and well after I made multiple requests to cancel the order. Look at the reviews, avoid this company like the plague.

No support, no solution. 🚫📦

⚠️ Avoid buying anything from Universal Music Group online! Just look at their terrible Trustpilot reviews — they're there for a reason! 😡

I ordered Taylor Swift T-shirts and paid with Apple Pay. Somehow, the system changed my delivery address to an old one without confirming with me. 😤 I contacted their customer service right away, but they told me they couldn’t do anything about it… and they didn’t follow up at all. No support, no solution. 🚫📦

Save yourself the trouble and don’t buy from them! ❌

It only took them 6 months

I pre-ordered a vinyl in october that was due to ship on my birthday and arrive something like a couple weeks after, which was fine. Around december I had no news so I sent a first email, got no answer. I sent another one after the holidays, still nothing.
I opened a ticket on their poorly designed website asking for a refund since they apparently were not sending me the item. Nothing.
Yesterday I received it, only took 6 months, I can only assume this was delivered by a person walking so I applaud the environmental effort on their part.

Issues with every order!!!

It’s shocking to see that 98% of people have had some kind of issue with this company. I myself have also had various issues with nearly all of my orders from them! (And there are many). Recently I received a Billie Eilish T-shirt I ordered and it fit way smaller that all the others I own. Decided to lay it on top of my last XL T-shirt I bought from them and sure enough, the new one is about an inch shorter in all directions! I then laid it on top of a size Large I have (exact same T-shirt as the XL I compared it with), and low and behold it’s the exact same dimensions… So it’s marked XL but it’s actually a L. After reaching out to customer service, they stated I could start a return process but the shipping costs would be on me! As if I simply ordered the wrong size. They don’t take responsibility for their mistakes/defects. It’s really not acceptable. I’m really surprised Billie (or any artist) would do business with this company! Ripping off their fans like this!

Terrible - don’t buy from this company

Item ordered with release date of 14/03 by 24/03 still not shipped so cancellation requested. Unhelpful response saying item due to be shipped so can’t be cancelled - I accepted this originally but 5 working days since then still not dispatched or cancelled… 5 working days and they couldn’t cancel it?

Royal Mail and Universal Music = Bad Combo

Waiting for a Sam Fender St. James' Park LP. At home, Royal Mail didn't knock, but put a card through the door. Arranged a redelivery and they ignored it and sent it back to the depot. It was then sent back to Universal Music. Cheyenne in customer services informed me they have no contact with their own warehouse, so they cannot resend it! Very disappointed that this is not our fault but Universal Music's chosen carrier Royal Mail! No effort made to rectify made my Universal Music.

Awful ship times, quality and prices

Awful ship times, constantly releasing new merch before other merch that released months ago had even shipped, and terrible quality in blohsh necklaces and other jewelry now ($75 for silver plated jewelry that can’t be in water is outrageous)

Awful company.

If I could rate with zero stars I would. Pre Ordered Sam Fender album last October,it was released Friday and still haven't received it. It's coming from Germany ,even though it says all pre orders come from the UK. Surely a pre ordered album should guarantee to be with customer on release date!! Customer service a joke ,may aswell be non existent. Said it could be 15 days until I receive ,ha!!Wouldn't be using again.

Absolute Disgrace of a company

Wouldn’t rate this company at all I’d say -0 Would be aware to anyone who wants to order from this company. Ordered a hoodie $104.47 it was never in stock so never got despatched. They said I could have a refund but then changed their mind saying I was over 30days before responding to them. So basically they are keeping my money for something that wasn’t even in stock I’d been tracking the item all over Christmas but it was never sent to be distribution centre. Absolute disgrace of a company

Zero stars!

Zero stars!! Placed two orders. One on November 15th & one on December 6th, 2024. Both contained several Christmas presents. Three months later, still nothing shipped, and no replies from customer service despite numerous attempts. Absolutely horrendous experience. This is UNIVERSAL, a massive company. How does this happen? And they still email me several times a week advertising their newest arrivals to purchase!!! I'm starting a dispute/investigation with my credit card company. BEWARE!!!

NEVER ORDERING FROM THEM AGAIN.

placed an order with umusic canada in november 2024 and still have had no update. after countless emails and social media messages they still fail to reach out to me. If i didn’t know someone who had a positive experience with them i wouldn’t have ordered with them. $100 wasted.

I ordered a vinyl single from Bruno mars and lady gaga for "die with a smile" for my 10 year old. They sent me an empty box. My daughter learned about shitty ppl who scam others today. Sad. Hope someone gives them what they deserve.

Spare the dissapointment - DO NOT order from UMG artist stores.

I would give UMG 0 stars. Another company big enough to scam you and have no repercussions.
I ordered $350+ of merchandise from a UMG artist store (ladygaga.com). The estimated shipping date kept getting pushed back and back, so I just left it, thinking it would arrive eventually. After probably 7 or 8 months after I placed the order, it still had not arrived (or even been sent - a tracking label had been created, but there was no activity), so I reached out to "customer support". Come to find out, they're actually thieves. They said because 6 months had passed, there was nothing they could do - they wouldn't refund ANYTHING or send the products I had ordered. Apparently, I was supposed to know about this imaginary deadline and do their job for them, telling them they had 'forgotten' to send the order. I don't know about the US, but this is considered fraud in New Zealand and goes against many consumer laws. I sent multiple follow-ups pleading my case to no avail. It's not worth fighting, so another one bites the dust, I guess!

Service client déplorable et aucune prise en charge des erreurs

Je suis extrêmement déçu par cette expérience. J’ai commandé des t-shirts et, le jour même, j’ai envoyé un email pour demander un changement de taille. Malgré cela, ma demande a été ignorée, et j’ai reçu des produits dans la mauvaise taille.

Pour couronner le tout, on me demande maintenant de payer plus de 11,60 € de frais de retour pour corriger une erreur qui vient clairement de leur côté. Le service client refuse de proposer des solutions adaptées et insiste pour que je renvoie les articles à mes frais, en m’assurant qu’ils ne prennent pas en charge les retours en point relais.

C’est incompréhensible, surtout quand on sait qu’il aurait suffi de traiter ma demande dès le départ. Le service est non seulement inefficace, mais les réponses sont génériques et montrent un manque total de considération pour leurs clients. Pas de numéro de contact humain, juste des échanges par email qui n’avancent à rien.

Travaillant moi-même dans l’e-commerce, je sais que ce genre de problème peut être facilement résolu si l’entreprise se soucie réellement de ses clients. Clairement, ce n’est pas leur cas.

À fuir si vous espérez un service après-vente compétent et une expérience client digne de ce nom.

I ordered an extra large shirt as a…

I ordered an extra large shirt as a Christmas gift. When they opened it, we both realized that the shirt wouldn't even be considered a size extra small. I emailed the customer service, sending measurements of the shirt, standard adult US sizes, and even overlaid the product on an actual XL shirt to show the difference. Their response was slow, they did not want to exchange shirts or pay for international shipping. Since they took so long to reply, they said they are unable to return to it due to their 30 day policy and have not responded since. I don't recommend them to anyone. Definitely a scam

Company is total fraud & scammers

I would give 0 if I could. This company scams people. Nothing but fraud. Ordered vinyl on Dec 7.24. To date, no item, despite website saying shipping date is Dec 13.24. Over 20 emails have went unanswered. No FB messages answered. No comments on posts answered. Had to file Fraud charges with bank. Reported to Consumer Protection, BBB, CTV news, CBC news W5.
This shady, fraud company will steal your money and not answer you or refund. Avoid. Terrible company and scammers.
