They have been tied to two vinyl records I have ordered that were damaged and refused to issue a refund. Absolute garbage people.

Universal Music group has been horrible. Here’s my situation it said orders over $75 get free shipping ($15 value) and it wouldn’t apply, so I paid for shipping, but before I did the customer service told me to make the purchase and they would refund $15 after I sent them order info, so I did. Then they said it’ll take 2-3 days..that time passed and I received email and they said they couldn’t offer refund . Then I couldn’t cancel because order was already processed. So the worst is this sweatshirt was for my mom who was diagnosed with stage 3 cancer and isn’t doing well, I told them my story and what was going on. They didn’t respond of course. So then it said delivered but I never got it, FedEx took picture of merch but it wasn’t my house. Reached back to UMusic and they said sorry at this time can’t refund and they are closing the case and stating order fulfilled. Now I can’t get a response. So they completely ignored anything I said and was the most heartless and disgusting customer support experiences I’ve ever dealt with.

2x 7" De la soul records didn't turn up after 1 month, I checked with the courier who replied they were damaged and wwere being returned, so I waited for the new ones to be sent out, when they didnt arrive, I complained and customer services replied as theres a 30 day notice and If i dont complain in time its past the 30 day cut off, and they just take my money [$60]

Preordered Taylor Swift's TLOAS and still waiting, when it was obviously not shipping on time, I tried to cancel, but they somehow put a shipping label on it very quickly so I couldn't cancel and left it for days before shipping. I asked for it to be shipped expediently but it's been nearly 2 weeks since release and it waiting to board a shipping container for the last 5 days

Terrible experience with Universal Music Group UK
Pre-ordered the new Taylor Swift vinyl album and it arrived a day late and disappointingly it sounded worst then records I have that are over 40 years old. Reached out to customer services and on their request send a video/ audio file and picture and waited. So after 2 days waiting I sent another message chasing for an update, several hours later I was then asked if I wanted to return the item for a replacement (?) which I had already stated on day 1. Why couldn't this process have started immediately as an online purchase I was well within my rights. I now have to wait another few days to be able to post this, it then takes up to 7 days to get delivered and then they need to process the returns before finally sending a replacement record. All this is going to take another 2-3 weeks from my original contact to receiving what I the hope is a vinyl record in good condition. 3-4 weeks after the album release date. Surely this should not take this long when we have already waited weeks prior ! A better customer service experience is needed.

Purchased 2 mystery shirts a CD and an accessory. It was for my husband for Father's Day, I didn't click that shirts where not lable mens or women's. I was sent a T-shirt and a cropped top. I asked how this what a t shirt or if they could send me the other half but they where no help at all. Also the $17aud accessory was a key ring... Like please they had a $10 or a 17$ accessory I went for the later thinking of this will be something fun.. hat beanie flag some thing cool.... Nope a bloody key ring on sale for $3 not happy at all
SIGNED Sabrina Carpenter's vinyls
Pre-ordered SIGNED Sabrina Carpenter's brand new album (in a bundle of 2 vinyls) via the German store in July in hopes to receive it shortly after the album's release date, as one would expect. Did not know the whereabouts of the package and had to fill out a form as it had been two weeks since it was supposed to be shipped to me. When asked what was the issue, the customer service was not able to give me a proper answer. When I eventually received the package, it was not signed at all, as promised when I purchased it. Again, I tried contacting the customer service of UMG Germany and they told me that they don't have the signed vinyl inserts anymore and the only thing they can do is offer me a 40% discount. An hour (and then again 3 hours later), I received a notification from Sabrina's DE store about restocked signed copies of the album. So they straight up lied to me...again. They indeed had them in stock.

They are scammers, I have purchased a pre-order for two signed albums but in the rush I put in my cart the regular versions.
I contacted them within 15 minutes I placed the order and I was told they couldn’t make any changes nor cancel my order.
This is a scam, at the time of writing the order hasn’t even been shipped yet as it’s a pre-order.
They suggested me to wait till I receive the package and then return it to them, I would then be able to get a refund minus the shipping costs.
Don’t buy from these crooks, they will screw you over.
No customer orientation
Won’t take quality issues with products into consideration after 30 days of last tracking update if the shipping. Please be sure not to identify severe quality issues on day 31 and thereafter. Total ignorance and lack of customer orientation. I’m sorry Billie Eilish is using Universal for these services. It hurts her brand severely.
No interest in resolving their delivery issues
Though providing relatively timely replies to my query about the failed delivery due to them giving the wrong address to the courier they are not interested in doing anything proactively to resolve the issue. "Go to the post office and ask for it" was the advice to what appears to be a delivery by DHL.
Damaged Cd
I ordered a signed CD from Universal Music Store as a birthday gift for my sister. It arrived damaged, and although I reached out to customer service with a polite and reasonable explanation—including the fact that returning it from the Canary Islands would cost nearly as much as the item itself—they repeatedly refused to offer any alternative.
The CD was already opened and given as a gift, but they insisted on having it sent back anyway. No flexibility, no human touch—just rigid, robotic replies. It's really disheartening to see such poor treatment from a major company.

I spent £15 on a poster for my daughters birthday - a lot for what is essentially a rectangle of paper but she really wanted it and I figured as I was buying from universal music the quality would be good.
The package never turned up, so I asked for a replacement which did arrive but was so badly damaged it looked as though they had just stuffed it in the tube and sent it.
I feel like this sums up how the whole industry rips off the people that keep them in jobs. Really disappointing, don't buy from universal music.
