Absolute scammers

Absolute scammers. The few positve reviews they have is fake to trick people. They tried to get accesess to my payment account, but got angry and frusturated because i didnt feel safe giving others this kind of information or access. In the end he went on a rant and just hang up. 😂😂

Ultraviewer was a great alternative to… until....

Ultraviewer was a great alternative to Teamviewer once they started their paid model and put too many restrictions.
But i do think Ultraviewer team included "bad programming" or "programmed crashes" on purpose so they can now sell their paid subscription... the paid client includes an auto-restart feature, so they obviously know their client is crashing...
i wouldn't trust a company doing that on purpose. i have some paid subscriptions to TW just because i don't trust a company playing that kind of game forcing people to subscribe!!!
If you want something to help fast, it's still a great tool though...

I was directed to download this…

I was directed to download this software by a trusted vendor I use. Ever since then I started getting the Microsoft message that others referred to and my computer would intermittently stop working. Now it won't turn on at all. Your software has issues. It's not about a scammer directing me to use it. It's about your software itself. It has serious problems. Now how do I get all my files off of here? And I have to spend thousands on a new computer. Thx.

Scammers use Ultraviewer!

A scammer installed Ultraviewer on my computer after hacking my computer with a fake Microsoft ALERT that I had a Trojan worm and giving a phone number for Microsoft tech support. My computer had locked up so I called the number and am out $1500. My computer is working again so there's that. I am a widow living on Social Security and that $1500 is $68 less than I make in a month. Thanks, hackers; and thanks, Ultraviewer, for making it easy for them. /SC

TOTAL SCAM!!

TOTAL SCAM!!! ABORT ABORT!!!! A Pop Up came up on my computer and locked it up. Was a 'Microsoft' message to call an 800#. Same thing everybody else is saying. Indian call center. THEY ARE THE HACKERS!!!

DEFINITLEY A SCAM

It's DEFINITLEY A SCAM. It appeared like Windows Defender popped up and locked out my computer. I called the number provided thinking it was Microsoft. When the guy on the phone had me type the address in the run window I realized I had access to the internet again and he hung up on me when I was trying to research this. I asked why Windows isn't in the address and he hung up! Don't call (844) 623-7773.

I wish Ultra Viewer would proactively…

I wish Ultra Viewer would proactively shut down scammers from using their Remote Desktop software like Matt at AnyDesk does. The more the scammers lose their ability to use AnyDesk they will start using Ultra Viewer. It is time that responsible companies do what is necessary to protect innocent people. Just repeating what many people have said. Ultraveiwer is being used by scammers to gain control of personnel computers. This company isn't doing any due diligence to make sure cyber criminals are not using their software to scam people. I have read their replies saying this is a free software which is no excuse. The user interface is horribly designed…

The user interface is horribly designed -you can't see if anyone is connected to you. Another terrible feature is the ability of a person who originally had an address and access code to continuously connect and disconnect with the remote computer. A software vendor used this to connect to my computer about an hour after disconnecting without requiring any other information from me.I do have experience with other remote desktop software, its just that this software is terrible and a huge security risk.

When someone connects to you, you will see a chat dialog pop up on the screen and appear on top, a message also appears on the computer and there is a sound to signal that someone has just connected. The desktop wallpaper is also turned off and turned gray. The chat dialog box also shows the name and list of computers that are connected to you.

To see who connected to you, you can also go to menu File > View Logs.

The random password used for remote support is similar to other popular software like TeamViewer. You can change the password or turn off the software when you no longer use it, when you reopen the software will automatically change the password.

Oh my God just reading all the reviews, I think I have been scammed this afternoon I was trying to set up my new printer and went online for help as I was trying to download the Hp smart app and couldn’t do it. So one lady virtual assistant appear and asked if I need help.I thought she was from HP so I said yes. She answer few questions and ask me my phone number. i wrote it down. Few minutes later my phone rang and this guy called himself Jeffrey Wilson start telling me he could help. He was very helpful and convincing I follow all his instructions and download Ultra-viewer I found very weird how could he have control in my computer telling me and showing things stopped working.After he said I need to protect my computer as it was unsecured. . I agree to purchase the Mcafee firewall. So he said thank you and that someone else would be calling me. So one guy called me and paid £162 . The trouble is my bank send me message saying do not pay hang up. I told the guy I can’t pay as my bank is telling me not to. He said just write the passcode and we are in safety hands. So I did. Just to find out my printer still not connect to my computer as Jeffrey promised. Well that is it been robed again and starting crying. How vulnerable we are. The guy keeping saying to me the reason he could help me was because I was senior. He gave me a number to call if a need but told me not to give the number to anyone as he would only answer my call. Why I didn’t suspect him. Only after I paid I became suspicious.

Tomorrow I will my bank and ask for cancelation of my card. Will be too late for the £162 but at leas they would get anymore. I have close the Ultra viewer today but tomorrow I uninstall it.

I am ashamed of myself, how could I believe on them and ignore my bank warning.

We can assure you, we are not associated with any of these instances. Almost all users are using UltraViewer for good purposes (for remote working, remote support, etc.); there are just some scammers abusing our software, and we're working hard to combat them.

It would be inaccurate with our efforts if we took little to no action to block them.  As the software is partly free, anyone can download it freely on the internet and use it for free remote support. So we got no money from those scammers. We have nothing but the trouble they bring.
It's not only our problem, but it's the problem of all other remote desktop software on the market.
However, we are still working hard to upgrade our automated system to better block these scammers. We also established an email address, abuse@ultraviewer.net to receive reports and analyze those reports to block those scammers from using our software as soon as possible.
It will take time to do everything better, but we just want to let you know that we're still working hard to prevent it. We hope you understand and help us by reporting the scammer's ID : If they have already been connected to your PC for a while , please close UltraViewer by going to menu File > Exit so they can be disconnected from your PC. Next, please open UltraViewer, go to the menu File > View Logs to see their UltraViewer's ID. Please tell us their UltraViewer's ID so we can block them from our system. Also, if you have lost money or anything, please contact the police and tell the police contact at abuse@ultraviewer.net so we can help the police find the scammer. 

If you don't know what UltraViewer is and what it's used for, or if you don't use it for any other purposes, please remove it from your PC. It's just a remote desktop software (for remote working, remote support etc.. ). To remove UltraViewer, just like any other softwares. Please go to Start > find 'Add or Remove program', then find UltraViewer from the list of software and click remove to remove UltraViewer from your PC

Working Hard to Combat Scammer Abuse

Initially this review was quite negative. After contacting UltraViewer support, I have updated my review to reflect my experience. I was honestly blown away by both their dedication to stopping scammers and their willingness to listen to feedback.

Scammers used this software to RDP into my grandmother's PC. They attempted to trick her into paying them money and tried to gain access to her bank account. So as RDP software, it certainly works.

I contacted UltraViewer support regarding the scammers and received a response in 24 hours. Thanks to the detailed log files that UltraViewer records, I was able to provide information to their team so they can block the scammers. Which is awesome.

More than that, the UltraViewer team quickly took one of my suggestions to heart and added a dedicated link to their website so users can easily report scammers. To me it is evident that they are taking the scammer situation seriously, which is quite admirable and not something I expected.

Because the software is free and there are many free users who contact us for normal technical support on a daily basis, sometimes we cannot answer all technical questions in a timely manner for free users. However, we always respond to scam related issues. All reports of scams are recorded by us. We need some time to reply and due to the timezone difference our company has. We usually respond within 1 working day to all spam reports in our mailbox.

Almost all users are using UltraViewer for good purposes (for remote working, remote support etc..), however there are just some scammers who are abusing our software to scam other people. If they are already connected to you or your grandmother 's PC for a while , please close UltraViewer by going to menu File > Exit so they get disconnected from your PC. Next, please open UltraViewer, go to menu File > View Logs to see their UltraViewer's ID. Please tell us their UltraViewer's ID so we can block them from our system. Also if you have lost money or anything, please contact the police and tell the police contact at abuse@ultraviewer.net so we can help the police to find out the scammer.

If you don't know what UltraViewer is and what it's used for, or if you don't use it for any other purposes, please remove it from your PC. It's just a remote desktop software (for remote working, remote support etc.. ). To remove UltraViewer, just like any other softwares. Please go to Start > find 'Add or Remove program', then find UltraViewer from the list of software and click remove to remove UltraViewer from your PC

We're really hating scammers and we're making our system better recently to fight scammers. And so we need your help to block all of them from the UltraViewer community.

Scam or not?

I thought they were helpful- but they told me I had to go to town within the hour to get a gift card to pay the $400 I owed - I told them I am 75 live 10 miles out of town and could not make it - they said I could have 2 hrs—- I hung up on them

Please calm down. I think you have confused us with someone else, they are usually some scammers on the internet, who contacted and tricked you? That's not us for sure. Please double check who contacted you.

I could not figure out how to contact you. I think I was the victim if a scam by someone using your company. They had me install ultra viewer on my computer and now I am afraid I will be hacked. I do not know what to do

Customer support unresponsive, Contact number cannot be reached not accessible

I installed Ultraviewer and was having issues about downloading files to my students computers remotely. I sent an email to support but did not receive any reply. I tried calling their number but is it not working.

I only wanted to know how I can download files to students' computer and can I send the files like 10 mins before their test and would they be notified if I sent it earlier? I wanted to send the exam at least 10 mins before the test so I can send the test to all 15 of them and they can open it all at the same time.

I don't post my email on public forums, let me know to what email should I send my order number so you can assist me with my problem.
