I'm really impressed with the trousers. The fabric is great quality: it feels substantial and comfortable to wear, and it looks like it will hold up well over time. The construction is where they really stand out. The stitching is neat, even and solid throughout, and the finishing is spotless, with clean seams on the inside, no loose threads and nothing that feels rushed. You can tell they were made with care.

The cut is excellent too. They fit well, hang the way they should, and look as good worn as they do in the photos. I'd happily wear them every day.

My first parcel was lost in transit, so getting my order took longer than expected, with a fair number of emails back and forth. But the team stayed available and showed real willingness to sort it out, and I did end up with my order. That counts for a lot.

Products are great. I ordered the wedding size but they have excellent customer service. Very responsive - picked up the items and sent the alternative sizes very promptly. Archana was very helpful.

After some shipping issues with DPD, the customer service reacted and reshipped my package with the correct address. I finally received my clothes and they are beautiful! Thank you.

Excellent and dedicated customer service. I had an issue with the delivery of my order (not the fault of Turn Black), which took some time to resolve. One of the Turn Black team members kept in regular contact with me, with regular updates until the issue was resolved and I received my order. I felt very taken care of as a customer.

The company is led by a woman, that I like very much. She is designing clothes for women, which a from the best materials India has to offer and the craftmanship is outstanding.
The service is so friendly and helpful as one could only wish. I highly recommend turnblack!

Items took some time to arrive, but are carefully packaged and in excellent condition. Note that additional taxes may be levied by the receiving customs.

the dress is amazing, the customer care is super helpful and nice. the shipment might take some times of you are in europe, but it’s worth waiting.

We had ordered a skirt in a usual size S but unfortunately it turned out to be a tad large. The whole exchange process was super seamless, the skirts were despatched, picked up for return, and replaced in a vert short period of time. I have had my share of interaction with customer service but no one has yet managed the responsiveness of the Turn Black team. The skirt of course is fabulous!

Final Update: I have finally successfully received my refund after formal demands were issued to the company. Even after issuing the refund, they requested that I remove this review to protect their online reputation, which I am not going to do. The company will need to open a dispute with TrustPilot to remove the review.

Domestic and International customers need to be aware of this level of disorganization and the poor customer service practices of their team.

I formally requested a complete cancellation while the order was still in the pre-fulfillment stage, as they notified me that they were unable to manufacture the product to my specified requirements. They refused a refund under a restrictive "final sale" policy that only applies to returns.

The site, as of July 25th, 2026, is still non-compliance to the legal standards of E-commerce laws. Yes, Section 2(47) of the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 applies directly to businesses in India.

- Under Section 2(47) of the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, the failure to clearly and conspicuously disclose restrictive "final sale" or "no refund" terms at the exact time of purchase constitutes an unfair trade practice. A consumer cannot be bound by hidden restrictive terms that were not explicitly displayed prior to payment completion.
- If a business in India fails to fix a defective product, refuse a valid refund, or correct an unfair trade practice, they face severe legal action, heavy financial penalties, and potentially jail time.

Ignorance of these requirements is not a defence.

After I escalated the matter by issuing a formal legal notice demanding an immediate refund for unfulfilled goods—which violates basic consumer protection laws both internationally and in India—the merchant initially chose to ignore what was written on the formal legal notice and move forward with manufacturing anyways; which is going against my wishes. It is concerning that customer service energy is directed at managing their online reputation rather than addressing valid legal demands or resolving the core issue.

I will no longer support this business, and I want to ensure potential customers have complete transparency before purchasing. Poor customer service, an unorganized team, and a troubling ignorance of domestic and international e-commerce laws mean buyers are left unprotected. I advise shopping elsewhere.

Turn Black is my go-to store for beautifully crafted clothes that I turn to on repeat. Their aesthetic and finishing is among the best I’ve seen. You can also count on their sizing chart to be accurate and customer service is always available to help out. Love TB.

My order was incorrect but was rectified easily and quickly. Great customer service that was very responsive. We were more than adequately compensated for the inconvenience. The clothing we ordered is really lovely.

I bought the Cha Cups (Sheesham/Indian Rosewood), marketed for hot and cold beverages. Straight out of the box they had an overpowering smell — strong enough that leaving them out made my whole apartment smell. Pour in plain hot water and it leaves an oily film on the surface, and on sipping it tastes strongly of tar/chemicals. Let the water sit 5–10 minutes and it turns visibly yellow — I poured it into a glass next to a control glass of the same water and the difference was obvious. So the cup is leaching something straight into the drink.

On top of that, they don't hold water. After a normal hand wash (permitted by their own care instructions), I filled a cup with hot water and it leaked steadily from the base onto the saucer.

I contacted the company. They were polite and said the cups are finished only with food-safe natural oils and beeswax, and suggested washing, drying, and re-oiling. But mineral oil, coconut oil, and beeswax are odorless and tasteless — they don't explain a tar taste or yellow water, and re-oiling won't stop a cup from leaking.

I'd also question the choice of material. Rosewood (Sheesham) is an open-grained, porous hardwood with natural oils and aromatic compounds; it absorbs liquids and odours and is prone to leaching. It's lovely for furniture and décor, but it's a questionable choice for a vessel meant to hold hot drinks — closed-grain woods are far more common for tableware for a reason.

Between the tar taste, the discoloured water, the oily residue, and the fact that they don't reliably hold liquid, these simply aren't usable as drinking cups. Disappointing, because they look lovely — but I'd steer clear until these issues are resolved.

Excellent craftsmanship, we bought the Ido coffee table and it’s beautifully made. The team is very responsive and keeps you updated in case of any delays (which is common and acceptable to a certain extent for customized furniture)

The brand is unique and niche !!!
Fabrics are top quality.. designs are classy ! I have loved all the work of the brand .
Sizes have to be checked with the the chart or the website representative sometimes.
However it is the fantastic delivery service and cooperation of the staff. Credit facility has been very helpful.

Black is my favorite color, and this brand truly embodies the color in all its forms. Unique brand and avante-garde concept. I came across the brand on instagram and was curious to know its story and products. Good quality and appealing aesthetics. The brand could also accomodate and experiment with more styles and clothing, specially on the good basics, render its own take on wardrobe essentials, like a black blazer, sweater or well fitted jeans, tailored trousers, simple classic wardrobe staples, in addition to its chic bohemian modern variety. Natural fabrics are usually preferred. Customer service is decent and reaches out promptly when contacted, but there is scope for more improvement in this area also. Satisfied with my purchase & best wishes to team 'turn black'.
