Unorganised, no idea

We had to go to the Nissan dealership for MOT repairs after they are the only company to house the parts needed. A week in advance, we had spoken to them over the phone in detail of what was needed, received a quote and got booked in for 8.30am to ensure they had the day for repair as we live an hour away. Upon arrival we were greeted by a rude, arrogant representative of the company who’s replied to our statement of, ‘we have brought our car in for repair on brakes’ with, “so what exactly do you want us to do about it?”
We explained everything that was said on the phone all over again as no notes were made, to be told, “we will do a full diagnostic again for if there are other issues that need fixing”. My husband explained that this is already costing £1300+ and under no circumstances is any other work to be done without consent from us. It is a seven year old electric vehicle, a go-kart where only tyres and brakes need repair now and agin. He also asked where £1300+ came from, no training and ability to speak to customers, so we explained we got a quote over phone. He screwed up his face as to question our legitimacy in our words. Thankfully the person we spoke to was sat next to us and confirmed these figures. No apologies, just took our keys. At 4pm, after no communication, we called for an update to be told that they were just ordering the parts in so would be starting work on it the next day. We explained again, despite all the paperwork that we live an hour away and no means of getting home. They reluctantly got us a courtesy car. The next day around 3pm we had to call again due to no communication, to be told that they were still to start the work so will try to get completed before 5pm, obviously they did not. They asked for the courtesy car to be returned as it was needed for Monday at 8.30am so we explained again our need for it as we work in Grimsby and live in Gainsborough and that it will be returned Monday morning when we collect our car if its ready. We then got a call on Saturday to tell us that the car was ready, great but we were not travelling to Grimsby over our busy weekend especially at the lack of management and organisation of the company. Monday morning arrived to collect the car to then be asked if we had paid, the left hand really has no clue what the right is doing. We then stood there a further 15minutes while our invoice was being created, becoming increasingly late for work ourselves.
So many people working within the branch with very little completion of work, efficiency, customer service or people management. I hope that we never have to experience Stoneacre, Grimsby again as Nissan owners.

Bought a used qashqai that had less…

Bought a used qashqai that had less than 30k mileage, which I was told had been fully serviced and had no advisory’s on its M.O.T. Since owning it I have had issues with the brakes which I’ve reported Numerous times and now found out the disk is pitted. I also was told this has happens since I’ve owned the car which is only 2 months. I was quoted £1k for repairs work! Now stonearc have bought Trenton they say the problems nothing to do with them, Terrible service stay well away!

Full service? Really?

Bought a used Nissan from this dealership in February which had a new MOT and allegedly had just been given a full service. The car needed a software upgrade just a few weeks later, where my local dealer found various faults, namely, badly worn front discs and pads, oil leak on the sump due to corrosion! Rear washer jet not working. So, who supposedly serviced the car? Also it took plenty of prompting for them to reimburse me for the £600+ bill? Stay away from this dealer!

5 Star Nissan Dealer

Thank you very much for all the assistance I enjoyed my trip to Hull from Liverpool to collect my brand new Nissan Qashqai and Trenton Nissan have a good dealership offering traditional Yorkshire values. I actually purchased over the phone due to being on the other side of the country and had no issues at all.

The handover was super smooth and trouble free. Before I purchased the vehicle the salesman Andrew Wagstaff was excellent. Nothing was too much trouble and he always delivered on the promises he made. The whole process was easy and stress free.

I am loving the Qashqai it is really exceeding my expectations. The drive home was enjoyable and everything worked exactly as it should. It is always good when there are no unexpected surprises !

I was looking for a Japanese manufacturer premium, comfortable reliable car and the new Qashqai plus the excellent service from Trenton Nissan in Hull has delivered on that promise.

Overall I have a really good impression of Nissan and Trenton Nissan as the dealer I bought my car from.

Bought a Nissan Qashqai for 20k from…

Bought a Nissan Qashqai for 20k from Trenton at Priory Way and the front wheel fell off whilst I was driving it 6 days later! Trentons response was that someone must have tampered with my wheel! - all locking nuts had fell out and disc screws were able to be easily turned by my witness! My car is parked on driveway and have cctv. Sheer luck that I never crashed the car and was in slow moving traffic that morning.
Have repeatedly requested all signed paperwork related to the preparation of this vehicle and all I have been forwarded is an 8 point tickbox! When I went into the branch for prep sheets I was informed that the regional manager had removed all the paperwork I had requested and taken it to the Anlaby branch. Salesman called the Anlaby branch and was informed the same manager had taken paperwork home with him and he was now on holiday!
Absolute nightmare experience and shockingly bad customer service. Lots of other local businesses to choose from that do actually care about the customer! Buying a car became one of my most stressful times because of Trenton. My advice = do yourself a favour and shop elsewhere. I would rate as zero star if I could.

Second time out of pocket and car still broken

This is our second experience with this garage it is our only Nissan dealership so had no choice to return. Reluctantly we had to purchase part from trenton and cost us £350 but we had it fitted by different garage as we have no faith in this one. On doing so we were told the part was faulty and to return it for new one. Returning to Nissan trenton in Anlaby we were told it would cost us £150 for a diagnosis as to whether the part was faulty but would receive this money back if it was. IT WAS but was then told the part would be changed but no refund for diagnosis we asked why and they said they never said that and in more words than not called my husband a liar. So once again we're out of pocket with a broken car same as last time we used this garage, after speaking several times with customer service was offered a voucher for £150 for this dealership are they having a laugh it has cost us more than what was wrong in the first off with this garage to even think we would use them ever again is an insult.In short do not use do not trust this garage terrible!

Go to the Hessle branch they are fantastic
Where do I start? A sh@t show from start to finish
After phoning numerous times and like previous Poster said no answer, left 2 messages no one called me back, booked service online and developed a squeaking when reversing, tried calling again to make sure they could look at this during the major service on my leaf, left 2 messages no one called back. Left another message essentially asking if someone could please call me urgently as I want to make sure it will be noted to look at recieved a call from an extremely short and rude lady who essentially said we’re busy? Yes it’s down to be looked at.
At this point I should have trusted my instinct and cancelled. Arrived at 9:30 car was booked in for 9:45 and id asked for a hire car. Was rushed through the paperwork, told me car would be ready at 3 and cpurtsey car was outside
It was a juke, no issue. But it had the fuel light on, now unbeknown to me this was a hybrid, something I’m not familiar with. When I questioned the fuel and asked for nearest part til station. No one ran through the car with me or the option to use the electro , no one walked round the car and did a check nothing
I also noticed it had a dash cam recording but this wasn’t until much later. Now that’s fine but surely if my audio is being recorded I should have been made aware of this, perhaps it’s in the small print but I wasn’t even given a copy of this to look through.
Arrived back at dealership after 4pm no one could find my paperwork, girl asked if I’d had a call to say it was ready? No I was told it would be ready for 3pm and it was now after 4
She went to im presuming the workshop and appeared with my paperwork, she didn’t talk me through anything that has been done unlike they did at hessle, I questioned the brake squeak she said no issue found. I paid and was told car was outside, despite the lady in the morning and the paperwork stating a complimentary wash and vacuum my car hasn’t been cleaned, I again questioned this to be told oh maybe the valeter isn’t in I can only apologise, we’ve been very busy.
When I pointed out they’d had my car for 7 hours she said well if you want to wait we’ll clean i t then. There was absolutely no sincerity in anything that was said, from any of the people I dealt with, they literally didn’t care from start to finish abour the service they were offering. Miserabkr unhelpful and practically treated me like I was a burden by having my car booked in.
Lo and behold the squeaking is still there.
Now it wouldn’t surprise me if my car wasn’t even finished when I arrived, and I question If all the supposed checks have been even done to be Honest, my wheels has certainly not been removed at all so how is a visual check on the brakes possible?
As I stated I visited hessle last time and mistakenly assumed I was booking the same place, the service from hessle was outstanding
I don’t expect a red carpet treatment but a smile, takinf the time to explain the courtesy car, explaining the service and what had been done and for my car to be cleaned is surely standard customer service? It certainly states on all the paperwork that that’s the service i should have been given.
If you want my advice avoid for servicing, can’t comment on sales but the service department are miserable, clueless and offer no customer service at all.

Tried to rip me off

I was told my timing chain had snapped by Trenton Peugeot. Peugeot themselves refused to help as I had the car serviced elsewhere, despite the fact that a timing chain is NOT a serviceable part. Trenton then decided to slap me with a £9000 repair bill (on a £12,000 car!). I took it to a reputable local garage who had it working in no time, the timing chain was completely intact. There was just a fault with one of the cams. Trenton tried to scam me out of £9000, absolutely disgusting, but then most car salesmen are utter sc@mb@gs anyway

A first class service that goes the extra mile.

My experience was really excellent. Originally I called in to talk about and test drive a Nissan Ariya. I was given a fully detailed viewing then given the keys to go on an unaccompanied and unlimited test drive. The car was great and whilst I was out Lee appraised my car to value the part exchange. On my return I was pleasantly surprised to find my car being given a full charge completely without any promting. This "little" touch says all you need to know about their customer service.
We then sat down and agreed a deal with a very generous part exchange and a week or so later I drove away with my new car along with a bunch of flowers for my family.
If you own or fancy a Nissan and you live within 50 miles of Hull you should give these guys a try as you will travel a long way to get service of this standard.

Amazing service

We go my new Nissan juke from Leo. From the day of ordering to the day of pick up, he was brilliant. So polite and kept us updated the whole process. When car pick up day arrived, we were greeted with a bottle of wine and just an amazing service all round. He sorted my private plate out for me and let us have the full showroom experience of revealing the car. Would absolutely recommend Leo at Trenton Grimsby.

Bought a 2 year old car had nothing but trouble the attitude o this dealership was we have your money now f@@k off. Currently on a train after dropping the Nissan pos off at another dealership to try’s fix. I will not buy another Nissan I am going back to Honda. Definitely not from this dealership though

Disappointed with my visit to Nissan…

Disappointed with my visit to Nissan Trenton in Grimsby.

I had a tyre pressure warning light on the dashboard and my front passenger side tyre pressure was reading blank on the display. I was advised by a garage that it may be an issue with the tyre valve. I visited ATS and they advised me to take it to the dealer as it sounded like the sensor battery may be flat.

I called Nissan Trenton (Grimsby) and told them what I had been advised by the garage and ATS. I was given a time and told "bring it in, we'll have a look for you."

Upon arrival, I was told there would be a £150 diagnostics fee, which wasn't negotiable. I explained that I had not been advised of the fee over the phone. The lady serving me asked a colleague in the back office if they could waive the fee and the response I heard was "We don't work for free".

The diagnostics test came back with over £900 worth of work that apparently needed to be done. This included a flat battery in the TPMS sensor, which is what I brought it in for in the first place.

I went ahead with just the TPMS sensor replacement for a total charge of £260 (including the £150 diagnostics fee).

I've no issues with the sensor replacement, that was all fine, and the front desk staff were very polite and helpful (it wasn't their fault).

I just feel cheated out of the £150 they charged to diagnose an issue that I already pretty much knew when I booked it in. It was a tyre pressure issue, so why charge £150 for someone to look at the whole car? The car had received a full MOT and service only a month before.

It was a lack of transparency and I should have been advised of the charge over the phone at the outset.

Please read before going with this company

The dealership are misleading and are money grabbing. We was not allowed to view the car until it was out of the preparation workshop. We dealt initially with Joe at the Grimsby branch who confirmed we could not negotiate a price until he had the car as it was based in Hull. We decided to go with Hull as the process would have been quicker and to be able to view the car, but could not go until, as mentioned, it was out the preparation workshop.
I should have had alarm bells when Steve at Hull branch called me up and started going on about a curtsey car and that one would not be available, this had never been discussed and we had not stated that we needed it, as we did not. When I questioned what he was talking about the call suddenly dropped and I then had to call back for an update on the car?!
We arrived at the dealership at 11am as previously agreed between 11-11:30 and was greeted by Steve shouting across the carpark in his casual clothes "that cars sold love" my husband then stated we were there to view and possibly buy the car, Steve then replied with "well your early arnt you". He then proceeded to tell us he had written down a random time of 1:30 (clearly missed a 1 off!). We had our 1 year old son and was told to wait and "make ourselves a drink".
The place its self is not great either. I used the facilities when we arrived in the morning and the bins were over filing no hand soap and not very clean.
His co worker, who was very helpful, arranged (when we asked) a test drive. We checked the MOT on line and an advisory came up that had not been fixed.
If I am honest the branch did nothing at all to sell the car apart from show there incompetence. I asked if the price of us having to get the advisory addressed could be taken off the price? Steve then became quite defensive, abrupt and quite rude, told us no that was the price pretty much take it or leave it. When we explained the conversation we had with Joe in the Grimsby branch his response was "well I am not Joe and we will not be moving the price". He also confirmed that the 2 branches although under the same name do not talk to each other so please do not think that they communicate to each other and make the same mistake as us.
We had to ask to speak with his manager 3-4 times before he went to get him and then obviously explained his version of things so when he came out he was also on the defence and his words were "we do not have to negotiate on anything". Another customer in store actually said to us whilst he was getting his manager "they are all nice in here to you until you have questions, which is why I have come for a chat and not brought my car with me" so even thry saw the lack of customer care given! So now we have to pay out around £600 to get the advisory done. Customer service was shocking I wanted to leave it purely through the lack of customer care.
I have to say this is one of the worst experiences I have had which really saddens me as it took the excitement of a new car out of it. So would not recommend to anyone. We truly was very upset and disappointed with these as a company.
