We went to the Travellers Joy for a family meal. We all had a lovely evening. Helpful friendly staff, lovely food very well priced. We will be returning.

We're a small group of folks that started Traveler's Joy on a stoop in Brooklyn, NY in 2004. However, it all really started in 2003 with the serendipitous meeting of our founders at the first overnight hut of the Milford Track in New Zealand. Taking the company from a muddy hike on the South Island to the world's most popular honeymoon registry in a few short years required a lot of work. Luckily we have the best team in the world! Best wedding gift idea ever
Best wedding gift idea ever ! We traveled to Singapore , Bali and all over Thailand for our honeymoon. I got to create my own website with my own pictures and activities i wanted to do and posted it on my wedding website.

It's an excellent way to let guests know that you want money for your honeymoon without being rude, unfortunately only two people put money the registry the most guests just brought cards with money. If they were like me they found it hard to operate the system may be too complex. Just needs a few tweaks here and there but overall a good registry thank you and good luck to you

Can't Say I'd Recommend Based On My Experience.
I created a registry & then forgot about it/didn't send it out to our guests, so I was surprised when someone found our registry and gifted us something. When I went to redeem the gift, I had to go through several steps that took me days to complete (due to waiting on my bank's confirmation) only to find out that the website then took a "fee" off the gift, so we didn't even receive the full amount gifted to us.

Hi Tonimarie, I'm sorry your experience with Traveler's Joy was not superb. In order to redeem your registry gifts, we've streamlined the process to 3 simple steps. We realize 1 simple step would be ideal(!) but it is super important that we confirm your mailing address and bank account information before we send your gifts. If that information is incorrect, it can take weeks to recover the lost funds.
The fee is a necessary part of our business model that allows us to provide a living wage to our employees and keep the lights on and the coffee flowing in our office(!). We do provide our couples a choice to receive their gifts in the form of cash or checks which have absolutely zero fees. I'm sorry you were not aware of that option!

Thought the fees were too high
Thought the fees were too high. Additionally, did not like that each purchased increment was subject to a fee when purchased by the same person. That was disappointing for us.

I understand your frustration with the fee. Just some background that our fees cover processing the credit card (which can cost us up to 3%) your guests use, hosting, features and services of your registry, phone support five days a week, twenty-four hour email support, and support for your wedding guests who wish to purchase a gift for you over the phone.
Also, the fee allows us to pay our customer service team a real living wage!
We also allow guests to provide gifts to couples with cash or check which is 100% free. I'm sorry you were not aware of this option.

Very pleased with Traveler's Joy!
Very easy website and company to work with! They redeemed our gift money to us in a matter of days, and it is nice, as you can have it deposited directly into your account. Reasonable service fees too. I would recommend this company to any couples looking for a gift registry alternative! The only thing I would "change" is perhaps adding more options for when actually building the wedding webpage/registry, but this wasn't a big deal, just a convenience thing.

Came across them while searching for honeymoon registries. Fees were comparable to other sites. It was easy to use, gift givers had no issues with the site. It notifies you of gifts given. At the end, it even populates the gifts into an excel spreadsheet for you, which makes it easy to send thank you cards!

Easy to use and trustworthy. Wasn't the most intuitive for my wedding guests and didn't love how much money they took out, but it was easy to register and redeem the funds, which was my main priority.
