What a farce
After constant messaging Re sale for 5ah batteries today , went into store this morning that they were all gone in under an hour .. no rain checks ,& the young lady could only come up with sorry about that .. after driving 45 mins to closest store a waste of time .. why not a text saying sold out as they obviously totally mismanaged the stock that would be needed .. goodbye total tools , hello Sydney tools in the future

Took a k750 drain snake in to be repaired, was told the cord was bad, they replaced the cord and called a couple months later. Picked up the machine and got ready to use since repair and it didn't work. Took a look at the cord and seen that it was never replaced. The motor was shot is the reason the machine didn't work, was told by rigid that the motor and cord would be replaced under warranty I dropped it off In July of 2022. Got a call that the cord and motor had been replaced on 3-01-23 Picked up the machine on 03-02-23 the motor had indeed been replaced but the cord still had the exposed wire that was never repaired Took it back 03-03-23 bought it to customer service that agreed the cord had never been replaced and said it looks old and need to be replaced without their knowledge of knowing why we were there. Presented paperwork showing it was replaced 03-01-23 then he immediately said let me get a manager! Manager came out defensive and I showed him the cord wasn't new then was told to leave, which we did peacefully. Then I was contacted saying by other sources saying I was unprofessional once I came back to the store causing some sort outburst " which isn't true" ask for the individuals name before leaving which he chose not to answer the question regarding only his first name. Contacted the regional manager and left a voice message that he hasn't replied to over a week later which was Ryan Brunner. If I could rate my service at a negative 3 I would. BUYER BE WARE
Faults process is poor
Bought a Detroit (their own/home brand) for a small job.
The tool was faulty. Ended up hiring one locally as I needed to get the job done quickly.
Took it back, they couldn't refund as 'someone' wasn't there to authorise it. Asked me to come back. Came back, 'someone' wasn't there again.
Travelled for work, couldn't get back for 2 weeks. Came in on a weekday and was advised - as I didn't come back in time - they couldn't do a refund.
Poor customer service, don't back their own brands, they are not that interested in 'retail' customers. Also a symptom of being a franchised model, unlike some of their competitors who back their products and exchange or refund easily.
Ended up getting a refund, but took three trips and about a 90mins in total of explaining the situation and suggesting they may want to do the right thing.
Won't be back.

Very poor customer service
Recently, I started having problems with my pressure washer Karcher K5 hose (under warranty), took it back, and got told that it would be sent to Karcher for checking and hopefully repairing it.
Guess what? It never got sent to Karcher, I received a call to come back to pick it up from the store, and that was it.
The sales staff told me that I had to purchase the hose from them because there was nothing else they could do. They actually didn't do anything apart from lying to me.
Stores look nice but employees very little knowledge
Stores look nice but employees no nothing about the products. Total tools web site is awful for contacting a human. I ordered a bottle of Nitrogen Gas on 22/OCT prepaid $199. Heard nothing about order a week later went in person said they would look into it , got no feed back, another week still heard nothing, week later still no feedback. Total Tools have a system problem, train your employees in the trades. The thing is if you are a skilled tradesmen you won't be working in sales unless you physically you cant work in the trade . I get a general feeling Australia is being deskilled and deindustrialized.
Ordered online - a 25 min delivery is still not here a week later!
Ordered online - process was quite good. Paid extra to get faster delivery. Store is 25 min away from me so was a convenience.
Result, promised on the Thursday same week. Its the following week and i have seen the order was picked up on the Tuesday of last week but the courier cant explain why they cant get it to me. I have rang Total Tools (that really is what they are) and they cant explain it to me, nor can they explain why over 5 days later (total 7 days) its still not been delivered. And as to paying extra - no answer to that too because their delivery company Fastway (must be going Slowway) cant let them know either. SERIOUSLY IF YOU ARE GOING TO USE THIS COMPANY, PICK THE ITEMS UP AND MAKE SURE THEY REALLY HAVE IT - I dont trust them at all

Thank God there are alternatives. Spent over $2500 on tools and consumables there at Penrith. Ok stock but the staff are dropouts. Arrogant wannabes who probably despise customers that can afford what they can't.

Worst service I’ve ever come across. Moorabbin store consistently lie when they say items are “in stock” when in reality they are actually not in stock. Answer emails with generic garbage.

Toowoomba customer service is not even worth one star,the guy working there said I don't care if you spend millions of dollars here we won't replace your faulty battery.It has to be sent to Brisbane and checked.No Integrity or any thought of helping the customer.There attitude is we can do what we want the customer is always wrong.They put the blame on the Manufacturer
No need for dishonesty in business
I do not understand why customer service people feel the need to be so dishonest. When I called and asked how long a click and collect would take for stock that is available at the store, they stated 30mins to one hour max. We are a business that requires the products to complete our daily routine. And it has been over one hour and we still do not have the confirmation email. The hours in the day are running out. So Why do companies make it so difficult to purchase anything these days. And NO it can not be blamed on Covid. The stock was there as it was check via phone call before placing the order. #nothappy

Odered and paid for a Bosch planer online. I received a returned/ex display unit that was dusty and had scratches on it. When I put up a very polite review of my experience on thier Facebook page they promptly took it down. Really disappointed with thier online purchasing.

I recently had most of my tools stolen from my ute and rang total tools to get a quote for replacement. Bloke who answered the phone was pretty uninterested abd wouldnt write down my huuuugggeeee list of tools needed. He said send an email.
So, off to Sydney tools who bent over backwards and gave me awesome discounts. Very happy with my new kit and I am sure they are happy for the $6000 sale.

Not so convenient pre-paying online
Placed an order online and then am order for pick up a day later, delivery will be delivered 16 days from day of order and pick up was out of stock of welding rods.
The convenience of doing both is an inconvenience to me, but very convenient for their cash flow, one of the other retailers can now have my future business, as when I seemed to speak to the store they didn't give a toss. I remember one other retailer with the same attitude, but they're no longer around, go figure.

I bought Total 7 1/4 circular saw
I bought Total 7 1/4 circular saw, and could not have a perfect cut, when I do some measurement, it all out of accuracy. The 90 degree is out by 1mm, so do the 45 degree,
The marking of the straight cut is out by 3mm. Alignment in front and back of the blade against the shoe pad out by 0.3cm. If you you built a jig for it, it's going to be a mess with the measurement as you anticipate on width of the blade with the expected measurement. Please do some R&D and improve on the accuracy.

Ordered and paid for a Welder in Queensland on-line for pick-up at a Victorian Store.
Checked my On-Line Banking, payment had come out no problems.
Next day I get a call from my guy picking it up to say they have no record of the Order. Get told I need to call their IT/Customer Service. I call and am told the order was cancelled and they don't know why.
I place the order again with the IT Assistant, Pay Again! Next Day same thing, payment taken from my Credit Card, no Order in their System AGAIN, even though I was given an Order Number by IT.
Call the IT/Customer Support number again, No answer and was forced to leave a message!
Call the store in Victoria to manually repeat the order as On-Line is clearly failing, assuming I can just pay by card over the phone as I've already lost 2 Days, only to be told they don't do Credit Card Payments over the phone!
Still trying to get my money Back!
They have their name Spot On. TOTAL TOOLS.
If the comments box opened without giving any stars, that's what I would have given as an experience rating!
Purchased the same Item from Sydney Tools in 5 Mins on the phone, no issues, no dramas.

I bought a tool on line with the specific instructions “do not deliver this to my front veranda , and that if that was not possible then cancel my order, I was going to be hundreds of kilometres away and I didn’t want a tool sitting around in view of the street. The tool arrived in record time and despite my specific instructions, it was dropped on the veranda in view of the street. A mate walking past saw the box and rescued it. The really dopey stuff starts when I contacted Total Tools to try and work out why they can’t or will not follow simple instructions. I got a load of crap in reply from a person designated “ customer support officer”. Get serious Total Tools, you spend heaps advertising to win new customers but when you treat customers with such bloody minded indifference, no amount of advertising will change my opinion of your customer service. Late Comment : The manager from the store the item was shipped from rang me after my post and explained that there was a failure in the system in that the delivery instructions box on the automated on line form is not given to the store that actually delivers it. He was a pretty cool dude and he sounded disappointed with the system himself. At least they tried to square it all up !

Bought a Teflon liner for my mig from Joondalup T.T. store. Price on shelf $21.90. Get to desk to pay, get told price is $24.90. Mentioned shelf price. No this is the price. Bought item as I needed in a hurrry. Put in my car and went back into shop. Showed another customer service person the price on shelf. Gave me a $3 refund. Glad I didn’t buy a few items and get a few dollars extra on price which you wouldn’t notice straight away. Check the price they charge you.
