I had high hopes for my Top Nutrition…

I had high hopes for my Top Nutrition order. The fact that it shipped the same night I ordered it initially had me ready to give them five stars. Unfortunately, the overall experience was extremely disappointing.

Before even placing my order, I had reached out regarding a military discount after receiving a text about it. I was told someone from the team would contact me urgently, but I waited over a month and never received a proper response by email or text. During that time, my 30% off coupon expired, which meant I lost out on significant savings that I absolutely would have used on this order. Even now, communication from the company is still lacking.

Once I finally placed my order, it still took 9 days for my package to arrive, despite the products needing to remain refrigerated. A few days after ordering, I emailed the company again because of the extreme heat outside and my concern about whether the items were being shipped with ice packs or proper cooling. I was assured that they handle these shipments all the time and that I shouldn’t worry.

Nine days later, my package finally arrived completely unrefrigerated. The protein balls were warm to the touch, extremely soft, and had clearly been sitting in the heat. These products contain no preservatives and are supposed to stay refrigerated or frozen. I’ve purchased these same protein balls from local stores many times before, so I know exactly how they should taste and feel.

After eating one, I became violently sick, and my partner also became extremely ill. Considering I spent over $500 on this order, I’m beyond frustrated and disappointed. Missing work and ending up needing a trip to the hospital because of improperly shipped food is completely unacceptable.

The company seriously needs to improve both their customer service and shipping practices for refrigerated products, including proper insulated packaging and ice packs.

One star. I will never be ordering from this company again, and I will absolutely be warning my gym friends, military coworkers, and the other bases I work with to avoid ordering from them as well. This was a waste of money, a waste of time, and an experience nobody should have to go through.

We’re truly sorry that your first experience with us was disappointing. We genuinely care about our customers, and as a small family-run business, we take every concern seriously, especially anything involving product condition or illness.

We do want to respectfully clarify a few important details, as this review was posted before we had the opportunity to fully respond to your email and before your Onward shipping protection claim was completed. Once the claim was filed, Onward promptly approved and issued a refund for the full protected product amount, including products beyond the item shown in the submitted photos, such as the other ProBites flavours and other eligible products in the order, without requiring you to return anything.

For transparency, according to the tracking information, your order was picked up by the carrier on May 29 and delivered on June 2. That is 4 calendar days in transit, including the weekend, or 2 business days. This does not match the 9-day transit time mentioned in your review.

Regarding the ProBites, we have shipped these products for many years, including during hotter summer months and to destinations much farther away, without similar issues. That said, we understand that product or batch issues can happen, which is why we asked you for additional photos of the other flavours, lot numbers, expiry dates, and product condition so we could escalate this properly with the manufacturer, as we do not manufacture these products ourselves.

From what we can see in the Onward claim portal, the submitted photos only showed one flavour/product condition. Despite this, the claim was approved for the full protected product amount, including all ProBites boxes and other eligible items included in the claim, without requiring a return. We followed up asking for additional images so we could investigate further with the manufacturer, but we have not yet received those additional photos.

Regarding the 30% discount mentioned in your review, we are not aware of any active 30% discount code in our Shopify system. If you had received a valid coupon from us that expired before your order, we would have been happy to review a screenshot and, if valid, refund the difference even after the order was placed. However, we would need proof of the code or offer in order to investigate, especially since we do not currently offer a 30% discount code.

We understand that you are unhappy with the experience, and we are truly sorry that the order did not meet your expectations. At the same time, we believe it is important to provide these details publicly so future customers can see that we did respond, that the shipping protection claim was promptly resolved, that a refund was issued for the full protected product amount without requiring a return, and that we attempted to collect additional information in order to investigate the matter further with the manufacturer.

We remain available by email if you would like to provide the additional product photos and details needed for manufacturer review.

Great Consistent Experience

i’ve purchased from TN&F 4 times now. they’ve been very consistent with fast delivery and the care they put into each order is appreciated! one of my orders were mostly chips and at first i was taken aback at seeing different boxes, but came to find out they reuse boxes! which is another nice eco-friendly effort.

Quick delivery

Quick delivery , most products are good few aren’t but that’s the way it goes . I like that I can find different high protein gluten free items on here that I can’t find in stores. Very expensive items especially if we don’t end up liking them . I’ll continue to order certain things and tell friends to order too
