The idea for Tom's business came from watching his wife Gemma use a plastic mass-produced calligraphy pen which he felt didn't match the quality of her beautiful work. With his background in furniture and product design which he studied at university and his experience of working in a blacksmith's forge, he decided to make her a better pen that she would love using every day.

Lovely products from an independent with a purpose
I have a Lumos pen and ordered a few extra bits (refill cartridges, ink and a Lumos anti-roll grip thing).
Packing as lovely as ever, shipped quickly. Yeah the grip think is a bit on the pricey side, but small batch, so I'm ok with that.

Quick delivery and nicely packaged. The studio fountain in forest green looks great and the two nibs I bought with it ( fine and a titanium flex) both work extremely well and are fun to use.

I have the Lumos and the Wren. I use them to do my botanical ink art. Love the feel of them and the small tips. Have recently bought the botanical ink and I am looking forward to using it in my art class.

I love both of my Lumos and my new Wren…
I love both of my Lumos and my new Wren pen. And the service is wonderful. I lost the cap to my Lumos and the replacement and my new Wren pen arrived very quickly. Now, if you would just make a mechanical pencil that takes 0.3 lead!

Beautifully made pens
Very good service with plenty of information online and in the parcel to use these innovative pens. I bought the mini Lumos and I'm still getting used to it because I don't normally use fibre pens, but it's beautifully made, lovely to handle, and a very clever idea. (I'll take a look at the equally lovely fountain pens next, which are more familiar territory for me.)

Great writing experience, smooth tip, easy to use and refill and comes in great colors! I love using my fountain pen, and create occasions to do so. With the engraving option it also makes a wonderful gift. If you are a stationary fan, I highly recommend this brand.
