I was so nervous about hiring a VA and a VA service. I've been burnt before and honestly wasn't sure I was ready. I love the process, the secure payment, secure password tools, the app, just the whole experience. So far my VA has been amazing. She's professional, communicative, and gets stuff done! Well worth the money.

Room to Breathe!

My virtual assistant has given me an opportunity to get my email under control and has given me room to breathe and wrap my head and TIME on only what is critical and necessary instead of getting bogged down by the noise of tasks that can be handled by someone else.

I did have a not so great experience with my first assistant, but Time, etc quickly replaced them and it has been smooth sailing for over a month now. Worth every penny!

I've loved working with Time Etc. While not every VA was the best fit, the process was clear, easy and professional. Changing or adding VA's are part of the service and I couldn't be more pleased with my core two VAs.

Time Etc. was a good choice for admin assistance. Knowing assigned tasks are being completed has freed my schedule and focus to other needed duties.

Time etc is an excellent way to find a part time VA. For (time rich), stay at home mums, it's a great way to keep the mind moving whilst earning extra funds for the 'pleasures in life' - However, beware job seekers, before wasting your time completing the initial extensive job application - the maximum one can earn, is not a fair living wage, and to prevent Time etc losing their existing clients, their online training clearly states that a VA should feel 'obliged to be on standby', 'unpaid, for up to 7 hours per client'. Additionally, all VA's at Time etc work on a stringent timer. The pay is 11 - 15ph

I am surprised you have brought further attention to this review, as it has insulted my integrity and has prompted me to search for, and detect your previous negative review, which in turn will enable readers to connect dots....

Regardless that I have asked to be removed from your mailing list, I have been bombarded with emails and a string of telephone calls; money has been paid into my PayPal a/c without discussion; and flowers have been sent to my home address together with a very charming, but insincere card thanking me for the feedback on my experience with Time etc.

I have been invited to edit my comment and will do so by responding to your notes. This revised review is more detailed, in order to defend my review and to prevent other freelance workers from wasting their precious time with this business. I will not respond to any 'Cause & Effect' content, as I believe my actions are fully justified.

Response to Para 1. Clearly, Time etc is a great way for 'Time Rich' people who wish to earn a part-time wage, whilst being tied to their homes. I have no doubt that you have many hundreds of happy VAs - However, after having digested the negative feedback further down, clearly, there are also many hundreds of potential VAs like myself, who have had the same time wasting experience. Now I have a further understanding of the business model, I must now retract my original belief that 'Time etc is an excellent way to find a part time VA'. My intention here, is that this review will assist 'entrepreneurs and leaders' with their due diligence before 'prepaying' Time etc for the services of a freelance VA.

With ref to our positive exchanges of emails; indeed, we did liaise with an appropriate amount of sincere enthusiasm, but this was 'after' a successful, in-depth online interview + virtual call, and 'before' the training quiz where I discovered how Time etc operated...... I then decided to drop Time etc and continue to search for work elsewhere, however, one of your emails prompted me to write the review in order to warn others of my experience.

Response to Para 2. Trustpilot should be applauded for maintaining its high level of democracy and free speech. I will address your references regarding 'fairness and accuracy' in my responses below.

Response to Para 3. Readers can note from my original review, 11 - 15ph does in fact meet and go beyond the 'real living wage', therefore I will amend my first review by stating 'the maximum one can earn is a part-time wage' - regardless that Time etc fail to inform you of this fact, before inviting you to proceed with an initial, lengthy online application. Indeed, the fundamental question asked before this invitation was, 'what is the 'minimum' monthly income you require?' My personal answer was 'twice' the amount one is able to earn at Time etc. At this point, my application should have ceased in order to prevent wasting my time and most importantly, to prevent client 'ghosting' and the false starts for clients that make large prepayments for the service.

Response to Para 4. For simplicity I will document below, the 'accurate' facts taken from screensavers I hold from Time etc's 3-Option, Multiple-Choice questionnaire: and is a clue as to why paid up clients get 'ghosted' as it reveals the amount of 'voluntary' time, 'Time Poor' VAs must agree to in order support your/their clients needs.

Q: Is this a role you can dip in and out of? A: Not at all, you need to be 100% committed

Q: How many clients are you encouraged to work with when you start as an VA? A: FIVE

Q: How many hours A DAY do you need to be able to work: A: SEVEN

Q: On average, VAs work? A 39 hours a month

Training videos inform the average wage is £476 and that it should be seen as a 'nice bonus' and that if they need to diversity their income, they should look outside of Time etc.

Response to Paragraph 5. I find it unacceptable to expect highly experienced organisers to work by a 2nd hand timer. While working by a timer allows you to keep a track of when people are working, it does not actually tell you anything about how productive they are. Without incentive and trust, there is no point in anything..
