New Scam. Trade Station Automated Platform
First of all, I’m not leaving this thread for anyone to feel sorry for me. DON’T TRY TO LEAVE A RECOVERY site. I made a huge mistake and only I will suffer for it. I feel like I can maybe help someone who is or has been contacted by the platform. The name of the platform is thetsvips.com. And it’s a complete fraud. They try to hide behind Trade Station, but TS knows nothing about them.
They say that they are the mining and crypto investment arm of TS. Not true. The person who hooked me in stole the identity of a fraternity brother of mine and I was not suspicious until the returns were enormous. Finally when I asked for something in writing explaining the fees, it. Fought me to pause. After 2 months, it was too late.
All the pictures he had on his FB account were photoshopped and not even a good job. I didn’t question anyone because I thought I could trust him. Nothing on WhatsApp or telegram. It was all done on text with no voice calls…again after it was too late. When I look up his phone number it is disconnected.
Again I just wanted to report this on Reddit so no one else will be scammed.
Something that may help others is this scam site went by, “The Trade Station” kinda a play on words with the legitimate platform, “Trade Station”. I saw this in the beginning but I guess my desperation took over. And I found something that said the scam site was the ‘mining arm’ of the exchange site. I asked somewhere if it was legit and I’m sure the person saw ‘Trade Station’ and said it was ok. Then again it could have been the scammers who were on that review site…I don’t know.
I can admit that it was my fault to fall for it, but like I said before, I’m only putting this out there to help someone else who is thinking about doing this too. If it saves 1 person from going through what I am going through then I would have great satisfaction. But more than likely I will never know.
