Recently moved out of rental property managed by property centre in Taunton. Our property was originally rented with Richard Gibbins but then handed over to the property centre for rentals.
We have had nothing but bad service from them. They have held our deposit as the land lady was not happy with the garden in a residential area known for poor soil/gardens especially in winter months. on the inventory it was written that the garden is acceptable for this time of year however the landlady disagreed and proposed we pay for re seeding. We as tenant felt this was unfair if the letting agency had agreed this was ok for time of year. They made us wait for quotes for this regardless this took 3 weeks. They pressured us to have viewings whilst we were moving out which we felt was unfair. We are still waiting for our deposit and we moved out in November. Every time we ring we are put through to answer phone or people are always in meetings. We get promised a call back and they never do call back. We feel this is really poor communication and has been managed very poorly. they have already re rented the property we moved out of and we are still waiting for our deposit and had to pay deductions from it even though there is tenants already moved in to. really unhappy with the service. Do not recommend.

Quick sale and a shout out to the 2 Dan's who were always on hand to assist.
As ever, a pain with solicitors but all good in the end. Recommend you search for your own solicitor as I didn't even speak to mine in 4 months!!

The Property centre in Quedgeley marketed a 4 property which clearly stated that the property had no onward chain. This suited us perfectly as we were looking to make a quick purchase. We offered 2K over the asking price to ensure that we would be able to acquire.
When we got close to completion, and after spending money on surveys and solicitors fees it turns out that the property did indeed have a chain. The Property Centre then casually dropped this into a conversation about 2 weeks before completion and stated that the seller would vacate whether their purchase was ready or not. Unfortunately this was never the intention and a no chain purchase would have ended up taking at least 8 months.
This of course completely ruined our plans and has no doubt had a horrible effect on the poor folks attempting to buy our house who have given notice on their rental property.
AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE IF YOU REQUIRE HONEST AND UPFRONT AGENTS.
BE WARY OF BOGUS NO CHAIN CLAIMS
AT BEST THIS WILL END UP COSTING YOU A FORTUNE IN FEES AND SURVEYS.
AT WORST YOU COULD END UP HOMELESS AS A RESULT OF SHADY DEALINGS.
I would like to add that the Sales Progressor has been as helpful as possible, but has been hung out by the idiots above who are never available for any sort of discussion.

Sold two flats for me.. delivered where other agents failed miserably.. they do what they say they’re going to do and do it well…

Taken in by sales pitch of being the agent selling houses just like ours for the highest price locally. Overvalued our house and put bigger houses on market for same price within a mile at same time.
The process of booking viewings is just to book them in without checking with you, then if you tell them you can’t do that time they don’t seem to make much effort to re-book.
Multiple people doing viewings and not knowing key details about the house.
Everyone was very pleasant on the phone but I felt they were just telling me what they thought I wanted to hear rather than honest guidance.
After months on the market we changed agent and sold within 10 days with better marketing, more flexible viewings (evenings and bank hols) and an effort made to book viewings when we could actually accommodate.
Overall, just not the right agent for us and I wish I had read a review like this before we signed. Probably fine if your property is empty and you don’t mind when viewings happen or who you deal with.

SELLERS.. avoid OLIVER DAVIS in this company. I regret to inform you about a disappointing experience I had with one of your representatives, OLIVER. It appears that sellers should avoid dealing with Oliver, given the lackluster service I received. When I expressed interest in viewing a property, Oliver refused to accommodate my request, citing my previous viewings without any purchases.

It is deeply concerning that an Estate Agent would make such a judgment WITHOUT CONSULTING the client. The insinuation that I should part with my hard-earned money for properties that do not meet my criteria is not only unreasonable but also unprofessional. As a client, I expect to be treated with respect and to have my preferences considered.
This experience has left a NEGATIVE IMPRESSION, and I hope necessary actions will be taken to address this issue.

UPDATES AFTER MY INITAL FEEDBACK HERE:

After I posted my initial feedback, OLIVER contacted me from a PRIVATE no. and HARASSED me about my reviews!!! This raises a significant concern: does GDPR permit the use of business databases to harass individuals when no business transaction is taking place?

Oliver made FALSE allegations during the call, claiming that we didn't provide a Decision in Principle (DIP), didn't show bank balances, and didn't turn up for appointments. I challenged these accusations, asking for evidence, as they are entirely untrue. If your agent fails to show up or arrives late, it is unreasonable to expect clients to wait indefinitely, especially those with other commitments like children. In the professional world, respecting others' time means informing them of delays or cancellations in advance. We expected the same courtesy.

If you were truly PROFESSIONAL, you would not have called from a PRIVATE no.. Instead, you would have APOLOGISED for the misunderstanding and asked for the necessary documents to proceed with the viewing. However, your ARROGANCE and ego overshadowed your professionalism, and you decided not to show the property we were keen on, which raises questions about your CONTRACT with the SELLER. Personally....We would not want to work with such an ESTATE AGENT.

It seems you had nothing better to do than to HARASS me from a PRIVATE no.. Please remember that other people have businesses to run, especially when you have already decided not to continue business with them. Hence why I HAD TO CUT his call!!!

I started the house hunting journey with the Property Centre and it all ended with them. Got the best experience always, from Viewing ideal properties and updates on new on the Market properties and Sharea Mckay helped me a lot in this aspect. When my Offer got accepted Dawn took over and updated me all the time on the progression of the Purchase. I highly recommend the Property Centre.

Kieran from the The Property Centre, Stroud was very helpful and professional, confirmed every aspect of the selling format so we understood what to expect. Extremely approachable and knowledgable of the market in our area, securing viewings the day our details went live. The high standard of property information and photos resulted in an accepted offer within eight days.

We used the Property Centre in Abbeymead to sell our property. From the initial valuation to completion the whole team were amazing. There was regular communication and they were always willing to offer advice without pushing their services or opinions.
In comparison to the companies we have used in Hampshire they really were outstanding and we would happily recommend them time and time again.

Abysmal communications, poor service and prepared to waste the time of purchasers so think twice before listing your property. I made an appointment to view a property over a week a go, the agent gave me the time and day. I had a phone call in the morning to confirm I was attending. "oh yes". I arrived 20 minutes before the allotted time and left 20 minutes after, having travelled an hour to get there. No phone call, no apologies, no text. Richard Dey was supposed to be the accompanying agent - well, all I can say, anyone advertising their investment for sale with this agent will not get the service they deserve if that's anything to go by and I for one, will not have any dealings with them going forward

To start with, I had a very positive experience. However, this did not last.

Their screening process is very lacking and means that the Estate Agents ended up wasting the seller's, my, time with bogus offers if they couldn't afford the mortgage.

After 4 offers fell through, 5 seemed to be the charm. However, by this point I felt like I was no longer their priority on the sale.

On the last few days I was threatened with Breach Of Contract rather than having it discussed and then had no communication with them on the day of except a text at 3.01pm to say:

'Hi Victoria,

Congratulations on completion of Chedworth Drive. Buyer is on the way to collect keys now.

According to the Branch Manger this is enough communication because they didn't feel the need to tell me when and that they had received the keys I posted the night before.

I feel that this company needs to remember that there are two sides to a sale and I was the one that paid their bill.

Our experience wasn’t good. We were taken in by the sales pitch and promise of an excellent service. Once the contract was signed the problems started.

The virtual tour was published without our approval, the photos weren’t great and the description was copied from another property. We sold quickly, but the buyers dropped out after dragging their heels. We couldn’t get any information from our sales progressor, and when we complained about the poor communication we were told the sale had fallen through.

They didn’t really seem interested in selling our house after that. When we decided to change agents they forewent the 4 weeks notice period and released us immediately and unceremoniously shoved our keys back through our door.

Avoid at all cost! We ended changing agents due to appalling process. During the evaluation process they said they could sold for 15k more than anyone else. When they came back to sign the contract one week later they dropped the price 15k which was extremelly dissapointing. We actually agreed on a 5K drop only.

When they took the pictures we were very specific about not publishing the garage one because it was a mess. In theory they took it for measuring purposes. Guess what? It was published!

We sold very quickly but communication stopped. 10 days before exchange I sent an email asking for information about buyers mortgage situation and survey. Someone different sent an email inmediately saying buyers have dropped out, no other explanation given. From there onwards, they only brought people that clearly have been convinced with no real interest in the house. Agents showing the house were constantly late (in one occassion 10 minutes late!). They even left some lights on after one of the visits. We have pets so we were very specific also about not closing doors but we found several of them closed after single visit. 0 interest in selling the house. In the end, we lost the house we have bought and we had to change agents.

If you are renting a property, please doing so through TPC. I rented a flat through them for a few months and it was honestly the worst experience. Although I rented in Cheltenham, I had to deal with the Head Office branch for any maintenance issues and they were shocking with their response times or generally just fobbing me off. There is a particular woman Tracey Atkins Nash who can be quite blunt over email or phone calls. They never seem in a hurry to chase any queries up for tenants. I vacated the property nearly 2 weeks ago due to the endless shabby state of the flat and the noisy neighbours and not feeling safe. I left the flat in a far better condition than what I found it and I am still waiting for my deposit back. I have had to call and email numerous times and I just get told that they have emailed the landlord......it's been 2 weeks!! TPC should be chasing the landlord via phone for him to get his act together to return tenants deposit. I would never rent through The Property Centre again! They also don't like it when you call them out on their bad customer service.
This is just my renting experience with them.
I'm sure if you were selling or buying a house from them, they'd be a lot nicer.
