So many fake 5 star reviews, it’s laughable. This company are fraudulently trying to claim 40% of people’s refunds and are getting away with it in some cases. If challenged their standard response is “you signed up for it”. Isn’t that the whole point of the fraudulent PPI that they’re supposedly fighting against?!
They will try to bully customers into paying their inflated charges with bully boy tactics and threatening letters. Do not be fooled and for goodness sake don’t part with your money!!

Utterly Shocking Company to deal with.
Inflated invoice back in May so I called them. Made offer via phone and email and they gave no reply. Received text message yesterday threatening me with county court action. Bring It. I've started financial ombudsman proceedings this morning. I've never disputed that I owed them a fee for their work. My issue was that I wasn't willing to be hammered for ridiculous charges. I am still willing to pay 20% +vat of the original amount. I'll await response from PPI TEAM, County Courts or the Financial Ombudsman.

Sadly you don't have the option of many fewer stars. I have not received my refund, in fact I've not received any paperwork from the ppi team to tell me exactly how much ppi I was awarded in the first place, only from the source. I started to receive texts, "has your refund cleared, it's now time to pay" I'm not paying them until, 1, I receive information from the ppi team ref how much I was awarded, 2, I get an invoice for 20% plus vat instead of the staggering Amount they are asking for. I am wheelchair bound, I have had cancer and a hind quarter amputation, this does not scare me, I've had very much worse, their bullying tactics are outrageous and be assured I'm not done with this. I used to work for HMCTS, I KNOW MY RIGHTS. Send the correct invoice for the 20% and I will willingly pay. It's also impossible to telephone them. I've sent 3 e mails that have all been ignored. I'm going to keep resenting it until I get the outcome I deserve.I got so stressed with ppi, life insurance etc calls that I have changed my phone number. I'm certainly not giving this one out to anyone. AVOID THIS BUNCH OF SHISTERS

The most expensive charges, took nearly 50 percent, all the others I have used only took 25 with VAT added try some one else

Tryed to charge me 39%told them the 20% law said they would send out new invoice not received now being thretend with debt collectors told them I have a legal right to write a complaint and they have 8 weeks to respond and threatened again that they will get there money before that told them I have got legal help as they have broken the contract then told you will pay us whatever we will get your money then hung up

Recently received their invoice for small claim. Paid them straight away. Second claim few days later I checked the figures. Not only were the payees amounts enhanced but they were charging an illegal 40% commission. ( approx - legal limit 20% + 20% vat. Even before we knew any claim was successful we started receiving texts chasing monies. This was when they were sitting on the cheque itself. Letters, emails and phone calls are ignored. My problem is still being played out. Off to Ombudsman today. The PPI farce is now over so this review is unlikely to be of help. Wish I’d read it prior to contacting these villains.

I have just received a statement Invoice from PPI Team, I was awarded £3279.26 PPI Team are charging £1534.69 charges + VAT which is 39% of my award but the Government have put a cap on the amount they can charge which is 20% I would not have touched them if I knew they would charge over the 20%.
UPDATE
I E-Mailed the PPI Team saying I thought they had made a mistake with their charges please send me an updated invoice, sent this every time they text or phoned me! Last E-mail telling them I was going to take my complaint to the FCA! 1 week later received an updated invoice with the 20% fee paid this the same day.

Signed up with them then didn't hear anything for months and months, until I actually forgot I had signed anything.

Yes they found out I was owed some PPI, they then confirmed I was due a payment. I received one payment then made the payment to them (almost half), I have not received the other payments from the banks yet get multiple texts and calls daily to chase up their payment. Harassment I would call it. I work, I do not have the pace to be answering endless calls and texts from them. Not only that then threatened me with Baliffs and extra charges for all the multiple texts £10 pr text, telephone calls £10 per call, emails £10 per email, and £40 flat fee for any amount up 10 1k. Literally just making up all kinds of fees from all over the place, that would amount to loads with all their automated contacts.

I also earlier in my claim let them know that I did not want them to pursue any other of my claims after my experience with this first one. They told me they could not NOT chase my claims and I had to contact each bank personally. This was a lie as when I contacted the banks they said it needed to be cancelled with this company.

I have also since found out that the amount they charge is illegal! The irony! A company chasing illegal bank charges, charges you illegal fees!

I am now challenging this with them before going to the FCA. This is not the palava i expected from pursuing a PPI claim.

STAY AWAY from this company, most banks have a simple form you can sign online, its very very simple, its a shame I did not know this before.

Hassling the hell out of me via texts I can't respond to, asking for payment of 39% + VAT. They require a reference number I don't have to go through a useless automated system to pay an amount that they don't tell you! I've now emailed them & stupidly paid it as the texts are now threatening debt agencies. The guy I emailed 2 days ago at PPI payment team now has a defunct email & I've paid & I'm still being harrassed via text & a tel no. I cannot get through to. WELL DODGY & A RIP OFF - AVOID!!!!

Scam artists! Would give them zero stars if possible. First they tried to overcharge me by £836. Then after considerable trouble I managed to get them to admit it. They sent an Email to admit it and said they would make an extra payment of £100 to cover my troubles.
So they paid £836 into my bank! DID NOT PAY THE EXTRA £100., They are impossible to get in touch with and if you do they are rude and take no action, They do not pass messages. And I notice the review chart has changed. Last month 62% were 1 star but suddenly its been reversed. Don't trust them.

Tried to charge me 39% plus vat on my PPI claim. (Since 10th July 2018 these fees have been capped to 20% plus vat). After nearly two weeks of me sending them the same email telling them they can’t charge this amount I finally rang the Ombudsman and they gave me another email address. Low and behold 1 hour after me sending them yet another email threatening them with the Ombudsman, I received an email from them with the corrected 20% plus vat fees invoice. I wonder how many people have actually paid them the 39% plus vat fees.

Do not use this firm!
I registered with this firm in August 2017, they twice sent me forms to sign that had my surname mispelled and it took them 18 months to finally win a small settlement from which they took 47% in fees, incl vat. Once a settlement has been won, they will harass you with twice daily text messages asking if you have paid their invoice.

Gave them 1 star as they got me some money back. However they have been hounding me with Phone calls and texts since I received a letter from the bank saying I would receive a cheque within 28 days. As soon as I got the cheque and it cleared I paid PPITeam through bank transfer. I then sent an email to say it had gone. I paid it on 23rd May and as I write this on 21st June I am still getting texts, now they are threatening late payment fees to be added. I have now emailed 5 times and have not received an answer to any of them!!! My next contact is the ombudsman to get them off my back.

Please avoid like the plague they’ve ended up with over 50% of my claim. Also I have been unable to get in contact with them. Awful company. Best off doing it yourself or shopping around for a better deal. Excellent reviews are definitely fake.

I have just received £274 and they have billed me £139. What a disgrace. I have emailed them as at no time was I advised of the extortionate rates, not to mention 20% vat.
I have read up that as of last year Ppi companies can no longer charge more than 20% (24% inc vat) so why are they allowed to get away with this. Not to mention the constant barrage of texts chasing up payment, however when you try and conatct them you are left on hold for 15 minutes then cut off.
I am now contacting the financial Ombudsman Service to ask if this is legal ?
also reading others reviews I also believe the 5star reviews are fake (especially as they’ve all been left at same time)
