The O2 app stopped working

The O2 app stopped working as soon as I entered the O2 and kept coming up with requests to register new device, had to leave queue and speak to customer services who advised to download the AXS app as the O2 app doesn't work properly in the O2. The AXS app worked fine. Costs in the O2 are ridiculous £4 for a bottle of water, burger and chips £16. I don't park there anymore due to cost and time to get out of the place, however with the introduction of Ulez it would of been a total of £47 just to park.

This place is a joke ..trying to park took so long they are not equipt for crowds at all...it's diabolical what they charge for everything including parking.
The toilets were a disgrace when you think of the amount of cash they have coming through their doors surely these could be cleaned more...the emmision charges are just the start of a very exspensive night out in the town..I'm an original londoner so remember how it used to be ...it's an extortionate pit of a place

Saw Jeff Dunham last night

Saw Jeff Dunham last night. Staff were polite and helpful. However, we were all asked to enter the area from the top. Doors open at 18.30, was clear on start time. Eventually started at 8pm. They let a very, very drunk lady into the seating area. She was recording the show, very loud and abusive to people around her and completely ruined it for those around her. O2 should have never let her in and should be stood watching the crowd for this type of ugly behaviour and thrown her out. We eventually got home at 1am…..waste of time and money. Sad thing is, jeff Dunham was funny and I would had probably of enjoyed it, had it not been for her behaviour. O2 should be ashamed of themselves for letting her in on safety grounds!!!

Bye-Bye O2

I used to love going to this venue but I doubt we'll be making many return trips. It's got ridiculously expensive but the rigmarole with getting tickets is a PITA. They now pat themselves on the back because they've 'made the decision to go paperless'. You (the customer) have no choice about this if you want to go to a show. You have to download the app and have virtual tickets. I wrote a polite email to their support staff explaining that we wanted to give some tickets to friends as a present but this system didn't allow it. The response was curt and unhelpful (actually is was downright rude). So bye bye O2, we'll use other venues instead.

Attended young voices last night

Attended young voices last night. Took 45 mins to get to a carpark. Total chaos . I had booked and prepaid disabled parking in carpark 1. Queues caused by carpark 1 being closed and everyone redirected to carpark 4. In the traffic jam I just noticed a sign for disabled parking. I forced my way across the traffic, where stewards let me in, but wanted to charge me again. Needless to say I didn't pay. Eventually I got through the crowds to the 'disabled viewing platform' which was a farce. There was 1 man in a wheelchair and about 15 fold up chairs all taken by what looked like able bodied people. Despite pre booking there was no where for my wife and I to sit. My daughter complained to a steward and eventually 2 more fold up chairs were produced. The chairs were more uncomfortable than standard seating. Total chaos, not enough stewards or consideration for disabled. When we left everyone was ushered towards stairs out if the venue, regardless of walking ability, there was no chance of getting out if the mass crush of people. So disappointing considering all the so called awards for disabled access etc.

My days attending this venue are limited

My days attending this venue are numbered if the Dua Lipa gig was anything to go by. The floor was so packed it was covid soup. I stood near the back but people were still squashed against me from all sides. Very sweaty and hot. Rip off beer and parking charges. The sound was great as was Dua but the overcrowding was awful in everyway possible, People were smoking inside too. £7.50 for a bottle of beer. Loads of food outlets but massive queues. You need to get here a few hours early just to get through it all. Not the best experience and I've a couple of postponed 2020 gigs to "get through" later this year and then no more. Greed and disregard appear to be the O2's mantra.

Absolutely Horrendous venue. Badly staffed. Ridiculous Queues

Rubbish venue. Staffed by rude obnoxious and stupid 20 somethings along with overzealous and at times "handsy" security staff.

One functional beer pump in use at the downstairs arena bar. Endless queues to get in and out of the arena.

Getting to and from this place is also a logistical nightmare.

Starting to think its better to just stay at home.

Uncommunicated change, entry refusal

Did not communicate policy change of 2 weeks prior, for a ticket bought 2 years ago, meaning entry to venue was refused.
Was told I was responsibile for periodically checking the website incase entry rules changed. Even assistant manager of venue was unaware of rule change.
Refused refund or entry.

Ticketing app is beyond useless

Ticketing app is beyond useless - If you are going to insist we use an app to store our tickets and gain entry to the event, then, for heaven's sake, make sure it's fit purpose !!!! As with others, I have been told if my tickets don't appear in the app by the time of the event, then I need to bring evidence of the purchase to the box office on the night .....there's going to be one helluva queue 🙈

EXCELLENT STAFF SERVICE !!!

I have hip problems which were exacerbated having to walk around the O2 Arena due to the roof having been damaged by the strong winds. I could barely put one foot in front of the other and collapsed to the ground crying with the pain. The staff (Shane and other staff members) sent their medics to assist me. Shane arranged for our seats to be changed to a lower row right near the stage as ours were the very top at the back. He also arranged for a wheelchair to take me to the station after the show. I was so grateful for the kind attention of the staff paid to me during this very stressful time. The Simply Red show was EXCELLENT!!!

Smoking during the performance!

The staff at the entrance were very friendly & helpful but people were smoking during the concert in the standing bit - I counted 4 separate individuals at the UB40 performance yesterday & came out stinking of cigarette smoke. I won’t be going again

Some top tips inside....

You'll need a bit of preparation before you go to save you getting cross. First is not to park at the O2 - it's expensive and there are spaces a short walk away hosted by Just Park. The walk to the O2 along the Thames path is very pleasant. Get there nice and early - everyone seems to think you can all turn up at the last minute and not have to queue. Eat before you get there and not at any of the food places inside the O2 - there are expensive and noisy. Accept that you'll have all your snacks taken away at the security gate - no point in arguing. Compact cameras with non-removable lenses are fine - anything else will be taken away. Leave your expensive SLR camera at home and use your phone. Take a small bag - large ones will be taken away and you'll have to pay £10 for storage! You won't have much room in your seat anyway. You will have to buy some drinks when you get in - simply smile and hand over all your money to the greedy vendors (bottle of water £3-80). Be nice to the staff there - the majority are nice people who sadly have to enforce the stupid rules imposed by O2 management. For example - no lids on water bottles that you have bought - because you might throw them! After spending that much I'll not waste it like that and I'm 57 so I know better. Being so old means I'm most likely to spill the water and have to get the nice cleaners during half-time to clear up, and say sorry to all the people around me who wade though the flood. At this time you might be worried about COVID and the O2 make a big play on how safe the venue is. But through a basic lack of crowd management I'd say the O2 are not doing as much as they could. We went to the afternoon staging of the Strictly Tour and waited a while afterwards to let the crowds subside. We sat in our seats but were politely asked to leave as they needed to prepare for the next performance - fair enough (you should see how much mess and litter people leave behind). We then got wedged into a mass of people all trying to find the O2 exit. There was a complete muddle of people queuing for the food outlets, those coming in and those trying to leave. Total chaos! It's sad when all the Security is taking away snacks from kids at the entrance rather than manage the crowds. They could have opened the side entrances to let us out but they were all shut. Basically take and wear a mask. Above all remember this is a special day out so put on your best smile, be kind to others and enjoy yourselves!

Underwhelming and over priced

Firstly, the prices for everything are pure gouging - car parking is £29, hot dogs are £9, a small bottle of water is £3.

Second, cameras with a focal length greater than 35mm are confiscated by security.

And most importantly, the venue is dated and cold. If the show or performance is on elsewhere, do yourself a favour and book tickets there.

Overpriced and Overrated

We went to see Disney on ice, blimey our holiday in Disney Florida was cheaper then this place!!!
The food restaurant where disgusting and as for the VIP seats, we were so far back the show might as well been in Disney Florida.
Thankfully the Sky VIP staff where great.

Stressful

First of all, the parking organisation ( or should I say, lack of ) was awful. Charge you £36 to find there is no parking spaces. Get told to go to another car park which again had no space.. to then be told you could park in car park 2..which if they had told us in the first place.. we would have been OK. Once we entered the building.. we were told to provide a negative lateral flow result OR bring our covid passport.. of which we did both.. and the staff did not take notice of this and didn't even bother checking. Lastly, we went to order drinks ( 1 bottle of water and 1 bottle of fanta ) .. £8!!! Extortionate ! Pay £8 to then be told we weren't allowed the bottle tops on our drinks!! Although there has been an increase in drinks being spiked.. this was a prime time for spikers to spike our drinks.. we weren't given a reason to why we weren't allowed tops on our bottles.

Aggressive and dangerous Indigo o2 security

Security intimidates customers shouting and being abusive. One had the nerve to say *I am the law and I don't want you to go in just because I don't want".

Their team protect each others back and don't give you access to non-security personnel in order to address the issue.
Will escalate.

Needs police patrolling the surroundings to witness and address these episodes.

Awful don’t bother driving !

Awful car park charges are very very expensive and takes forever to get in or out no staff helping or support traffic moving would never come back to see concert and definitely not to shop or eat out about time they got it sorted !!

Do not go

Do not go! This venue is awful. We queued for 60 mins to get in, the "screening" was just put your stuff in a bowl and walk through a metal detector, they don't actually check your coat or anything you put in the bowl so how does that stop drugs or a knife? Once you get in the bar queues are ridiculous, they've completely sold themselves out to sponsors so all the main bars offer Budweiser or Coke, thats it. If you want a cider/wine/spirit and mixer they've converted a tiny place down the side they used to sell food out of to a bar, the queue was at least 40 minutes for that. Absolutely ridiculous that this place is that bad now. O2 have clearly sold up.

Terrible experience with the ticket…

Terrible experience with the ticket collection. Came to see Trevor Noah and had to queue for 2hrs to collect my tickets. There were so many people in the queue and there were only two booths manned.
Needless to say that I missed half of the show. Just a disgrace!
Avoid if you can.
