I bought gold for 800 pounds 16.10.2024. And it says I'm on minus on my account even transaction is completed!!!sent out few emails but not response!!! I can't withdraw my money back now. Don't know what to do now!!!

So after reading reviews showing you can’t take money out. I thought I would test if it was true. I put £40 in then after a few days tried to take it out. First I tried withdrawing £1.58. And nothing couldn’t withdraw it. Strangely I had to verify my identity when trying to take money out but didn’t need to verify who I was when, when giving them money. “They took money pretty quickly and without any friction.”

Then I tried to withdraw rest of it and still stuck. So yes this is a con and I wouldn’t recommend it.
Test it if you think I am wrong.

Withdraw gold from my account, no dispatch email or tracking. After a week I contacted them via email ask them what happened but still there is no reply. I don't trust them anymore. Just be careful if you thinking to by from them.

I am facing the same issues as I recently sold some silver as previously they would send funds straight into your Minted cash account then you have the option to withdraw cash straight into your chosen bank account from past 4 days I have anxiously waiting for my money to be sent into my accounts but there is no live chat option to speak to someone so matter of concern can be resolved more quickly. I have sent emails to their support team but have not yet received a response from their customer support team. Although this app allows everyone to make small and large investment into buying and selling gold so that's it's affordable for everyone and a safe haven against inflation. Recession etc.

But the app lacks consistency as issues need tk be dealt with more promptly as you are handing over your cash hoping your assets are available and secure at all times when needed. I was very confident at the beginning as it's better to buy gold and silver since both commodities will grow in value over time nice to withdraw when you retire or for whatever purpose.
I thought. This app would exceed my expectations but after reading other reviews are we really gaining the full benefits or are we mislead into believing so. If customer support cannot transfer small funds ontime or delay in responding to resolve matters than I dread risking my money into their subscription plans starting from £30. I am going to wait a few more days if my money is not returned then I suggest to all others who may have faced similar situations to take further action to stop bogus misleading companies take action where necessary.

I'm sure there are other more reliable companies to purchase gold and silver

The process of joining was simple, their interface is incredibly smooth to work with, and their prices seem fair. You'll have nothing negative to say about them if you just want to see your numbers increase on the screen - until you either try to contact them, or get them to send you your gold.

Just recently I decided to get my gold delivered, and this is where I began to notice some serious issues.
First, they sent me the wrong item, and there were no updates via email or mobile as to when it was going to be delivered. This isn't a £5 toy from Temu, I need to be sure i'll be in for when the courier arrives.

After receving the wrong item, I tried Mailing them on their 2 support emails- 1 which hasn't bothered to reply to me, and another which blocked me...

Their live chat does not exist as they claim - it's just a message box when you're not signed in, and when you are signed in, it says that the app isn't working. Same with their FAQ page when signed in.

Some of us who have joined, or think of joining may believe that the gold you hold is in a secure bonded facility - it's not. On their page, it currently says that only the silver is physically stored.

I can't make a comment on their other services such as selling your metals.

Disappointing.

This app and organization is called "Minted", but make no mistake dear customer, it's not to make you minted. It's to make the founders minted.

Not only they charge you a premium when buying (they charge you more if you deposit small amounts monthly - which is convenient because most people will be depositing small amounts monthly 😉) and when you sell, they only pay you 98.5% of the price (they keep 1.5% of the value).

Funny thing is: this 1.5% is not shown on their website OR the app. Isn't that disingenuous?

Even if you deposit a large lump sum (3% premium) and the value of gold increases by 10%, you will only get 5.1% back - half the value wiped off. If the gold price rises by less than 5%, you'll actually lose money.

This is based on 3% premium. If you deposit small amounts, they charge you up to 7.5% premium.

They market this as "very competitive" compared to "other leading retailers" - but that's really no consolation if you need gold prices to rise by more than 10% JUST to break even (in the case of 7.5% premium).

x 0.985) - 1) x 100

Gold ETFs (the halal ones) may be much better options.

I sold my gold in my account and got a email that my funds are deposited in my bank account, that was 10 days ago but no money has been deposited

Great app, great prices for physical gold, I’ve done my shopping around and they’re exceptional. The transfer feature to transfer cash, gold or silver to other users is something really unique too. Love it!

The Vaulted silver product is amazing. VAT free, low premium and they don’t charge for secure storage. I haven’t come across anything like this before. Love the automated plans they have too, really convenient way to Dollar Cost Average your purchases over time.

Was given an in depth tutorial on how to use the app, what the different options and points are, and the overall usage for it. Very pleased with it so far, appreciate the notifications too!

I had no idea how to invest before using the minted app but I'm really pleased I made the decision to invest! I've been a customer for around a year now and I've steadily seen an increase in the value of the gold I've been purchasing each month. Given rates of inflation and the economy at the moment, I'm content to know I have what I consider to be a safe saving in gold put away through this app, rather than in cash in the bank. I also purchased an individual silver coin from the minted app store which was really good quality and better than I expected. And lastly I find minteds customer service team to be down to earth and friendly, they answer any queries I have promptly and I've been satisfied with the answers I've received.

Highly recommend minted great customer service and a fabulous way to invest in gold

I’ve been using the app for over a year and have taken out two monthly plans for my two children. I love how you can set up separate plans for each child and can choose an amount from even £10 a month so that people with different budgets can still buy physical gold. It’s the easiest, most cost effective way to accumulate gold that I’ve ever come across. Plus the fact free secure storage is included until I want my gold delivered, I love it!

A great app to help you invest in physical gold. Set up a monthly plan over a year ago & without realising i have accumulated a nice pot of gold. Definitely recommend

Non responsive customer support

Contacted on 17th Jan and 9th Feb but there is no reply at all.

No promotion bonus being paid out, avoid at all cost.

First time investing in gold and chose minted, I brought 10g which cost £508 but account showed it was only worth £478 the difference was handling cost, if I try to sell I can only get £478 so instead of profit it’s a loss for me
