So far I love it

So far I love it! I generally have a hard time sticking with app based workouts but there is so much variety offered through the bloom method, I have yet to get bored! I also like the overall support that comes with membership, including schedules and programs, the Facebook community and regular email checkins. Now the final test comes in April to see if all this pelvic floor work paid off! 😳

Redundant Routines

Am 34 weeks pregnant and have been doing prenatal exercises using the Bloom Method for about a month now. So far the routines are pretty repetitive - each routine appears to be primarily squats and lunges. Gets kind of redundant and boring after awhile. It's also disappointing that many of the videos do not include a warm up or cool down. Also, I wish there were more videos that were 30 minutes. Many are either too short (20 minutes or less) or too long (45 minutes).

I'm pregnant with my first kid. I always imagined taking prenatal workout classes, due to the pandemic that is not possible. I saw a Bloom video on Goop Instagram, loved it, and signed up. The quick workouts are easy to slip into my workday. It's cheese the way they start videos off with “hi mamas,” but it kind of makes me laugh.
Anyway. Yeah. Solid workouts, not annoying instructors.

8 weeks post partum

I am 8 weeks post partum and just started using the bloom method. I am taking the 6 week pelvic floor rehab and have found really educational and helpful. I love the variety of classes on the platform too!

Wow--terrible experience with this…

Wow--terrible experience with this company. Signed up to try the program only to discover that every class required weights and bands you had to buy from them. Canceled immediately because I didn't have the weights and bands and was under the impression that you didn't need gear to do the workouts. I requested a refund less than 10 minutes after paying for the site and was told it wasn't possible. What kind of company won't give a refund when not clearly stating what their service is and how it operates? And why is my 19 dollars so important to them that they can't place the needs of a customer first and give the refund? Definitely not recommending to my pregnant friends. Misleading company with lousy customer service--not what a pregnant woman needs.

The Bloom Method rocks

The Bloom Method has helped me connect and strengthen my pelvic floor more than anything else over the course of my life. It's been a huge help with my postnatal rehab. I'm six weeks post partum and have better abs already than before pregancy - but in a nourishing, safe way.

I started using Bloom at 7 weeks…

I started using Bloom at 7 weeks postpartum and it's exactly what I need, both emotionally and physically. I feel guided and taken care of through the videos, and gain knowledge that has saved me from hours of googling. It's like a combo between a doctor, a friend, a personal trainer, and a doula.

Neat concept, needs work

I think the concept is cool but i found a lot of the workout instructor used really silly sayings repeatedly which became annoying. I would have perferred acutal cues of the exercises. And the second flaw, i didn’t find the explanation of how to scale the movements or exercises very plentiful. Making it fusterating when you’re already tired and feeling super prego. The montly cost was not worth it for me on a budget as it compared to actual monthly gym membership that i could get in person. The concept is neat but it needs some fine tuning professionally.

Since our method is designed to help women connect to their bodies in a totally different way, these educational videos are a vital part of fully understanding the concepts we teach and being able to implement them in workouts and daily life. We do our best to help our subscribers understand the importance of these videos by placing them in our start here section as well as placing them in the beginning of our beginner guided programs like our pre + postnatal challenges. Even though Bloom wasn't for you, we hope that you find what you're looking for and gain tons of self-empowerment in your movement practice throughout motherhood.

Reconsider...

Reconsider.... there is no way to get help. I couldn’t get into the app via the tv, and there for could only access workouts from my small phone screen... I tried everything and nothing would work so I canceled my subscription. There is no way to contact the people who run this which I find ridiculous considering the monthly price....

It would be nice if you included how…

It would be nice if you included how often new videos pop up. I see the same ones, and as someone who gets bored of the same workout, it's unmotivating. Try monthly workout plans, or new workouts every Monday. I loved doing Chloe Ting because she kept it interesting. This is pretty boring in my opinion and not organized.

The Bloom Method gave me confidence going into my first birth and I'm sure it helped with my recovery now! I appreciated the guided programs. The postnatal programs are really helping me reconnect with my pelvic floor after a vaginal delivery and I'm feeling great!

More for beginners

The workout out videos were too short and easy for my tastes. I worked out a ton before conception & was in pretty good shape, and was hoping this would continue that during my pregnancy.. but I did not break a sweat, lol. That being said, it would probably be an excellent program for beginners!!

If you still have access make sure you're checking out our more advanced options (if you have the foundations of the method down). Our moms come from all walks of 'movement life' athletes, ironman champions, group fitness enthusiasts, and even those who don't have a regular relationship with exercise. Our goal is to help each of those women thrive far beyond the typical narrative that mainstream fitness gives us. We often tell our moms that you can squat, bicep curl, and lunge with any fitness class - But when done correctly and with intention, Bloom calls in a totally new level of connection + results to all fitness and movement, in and outside of our classes. Review of the 4th Trimester Rehab Series

I had signed up for the Bloom Method post-pregnancy to start my rehabilitation and recovery post C-section. I joined specifically for the postnatal - 4th Trimester Rehab series. I loved the idea of this and think that the team is onto something that could be very useful. I found the instructional videos lacking some guidance and clarity and sometimes left me asking.... what is it that I'm actually supposed to be doing. For example, one whole 10-minute instructional video talks about the "S-breath" but never demonstrates what this is, how you do it, how to effectively use it while doing exercises but the instructor talks a lot about it and the benefits of it.... But how do I get the benefits if I don't know what it is and how to do it.
Overall, great idea, subpar instructions.
