I am not a customer
I am not a customer of TeamUCC, but someone with the same name as me is a customer (I guess?) I keep getting emails from TeamUCC that contain personal information for this person, and the logs for efforts to contact references in response to security alerts. I have twice reached out in the last 6 weeks and made entries into the alarm system chat, to which I have not received a response. With the logs, I have multiple numbers and names of people I don't know, private information one might say. I have addresses, I have times.
Some background: The customer keeps using my email address for various personal and business transactions since about 2007. I have reached out to him over the years, and was met with hostility and veiled threats. The email I recieved in this case for security alerts has a mattress tag footer saying to not share or keep the information under penalty of law. Seeing that I live in Europe I don't see how that can be enforceable from a company that operates in San Antonio Texas. From what I found on various legal websites, it's not enforceable in the U.S. either.
I find it very concerning that someone that works in the investment and finance sector is so careless with his email (and can't seem to get it right, over and over again) but even more concerning is that a security company of all things did not verify his information. Then, they go ahead and send me information that does not belong to me. The customer is not a terribly bright man, in my opinion, but that's why we hire out. For instance, a security company to protect us when we are not smart enough to protect ourselves.
......Or, maybe not. My recommendation to this company is to audit all of your files and get your act together. I have no plans on moving to San Antonio, ever, but know who I won't do business with.
EDIT: They do have a phone number, but it is an 888 number. Since I live overseas, toll free numbers don't work that way, otherwise, I would have called and said what I have said here.
Since writing this, I have received two more security alerts, with personal details. Untrustworthy!!
