Just spent 5 minutes looking for the 6th Star. Since moving to Shropshire 10 years ago, I have been able to enjoy the experience that is Tanners Wines. Wyle Cop and Bridgnorth outlets are exceptional, the choice beyond expectation and the consuming matching the store experience. I recently bought the "Fireside Clarets" selection as a "to myself" Christmas present. 6 specially selected Clarets and 2 of each, because singles are of no use to anyone when the wine is this good. How many times have bought a solo bottle of "this or that" only to wish I had bought more. I have tried two of the six thus far and feel pretty confident the other 4 Chateau's will stand up to my scrutiny. Thank You Tanners and a Happy New Year to you all

Exceptional range of wines including half bottles, and truly exceptional customer service.
I have been using Tanners Wines for a number of years and cannot remember another company (whether drinks or other consumer products), that has delivered such a consistent 5-star service over such a long time.
Most recently, I had a small problem with ordering on their website and had my order sorted out - as well as some really good advice, from Richard - Tanners' Customer Service Manager. I could not have asked for better. Thoroughly recommended.

Everyone at Tanners is fantastic but a special mention if I may to Richard, who really went the extra mile. Thanks to a super efficient speedy service I received my wines the next day which really helped me out of a bind.

I was responsible for supplying the bottled beer for a marquee wedding in Mid-Wales, which is a good distance from my home. Having to choose and order a large quantity of beer and ale from such a distance - for such an important event - was a concern for me. I needn't have worried! Tanners in Welshpool supplied an outstanding service. There was an excellent choice of lagers and ales, from well-known brands to local brews, all at reasonable prices. The beer and ales were delivered ahead of the actual wedding, in the correct quantity, precisely at the time and date requested and in good condition ( i.e well within their sell-by dates.)
Tanners also offered sale or return (which was particularly useful as I overestimated the amount required) and Tanners also promptly collected and reimbursed me for the returns the next working day after the wedding. In every aspect, dealing with Tanners was a pleasure and I cannot rate their service and product offering highly enough. I would also like to express particular gratitude to Phil at the Warehouse in Welshpool for his help and advice, and for his prompt and efficient communications in the build-up to the event and afterwards.

They also have efficient delivery logistics, with great communication so one doesn't waste hours wondering when delivery will happen.

Excellent selection and friendly and helpful staff. Tanners is helped by regular recommendations in national newspapers and I've alway find such recommendations reliable.

The wine tasting at Chester was a disaster! Really aggressive and rude host in Mat! Do not attend and do not buy from tanners

The website is easy to navigate. Delivery was extremely quick, as was the helpful and straight-forward response to my emailed query.

Purchased 15 bottles of Armenian wine. The company send the product in time and compensated two bottle price for a single damaged during transportation bottle. Great communication and honest approach to customer.,

First class wine merchant who are genuinely focussed on customer service. Aiden was knowledgeable and supportive from order through to delivery. A good, old fashioned, customer-first retailer.

Following my order of 2018 vintage white wine from Alsace the delivery was of 2019 vintage instead. Having left a message and a negative review I was contacted immediately. The issue was explained and Tanners offered to correct the mistake to the best of their abilities.

Visited the llandudno shop before christmas. Small well stocked shop. Staff polite etc but please check spirit prices on line before buying. Noticed gins a little over priced then other shops or onlines.

I live in Australia and ordered from Tanners for a family member's birthday. The process was simple and queries answered promptly. I was fairly informed that my gift may not arrive for the day so was very pleased to be able to see the package opened when I Skyped on the birthday! Thank you Tanners for quick delivery and a professional manner. This is why local businesses deserve continued support.

I ordered a small amount of wine for Christmas 2020 and made a simple mistake while doing so, i was contacted by a fantastic member of staff ( Richard ) who couldn't have been more helpful even though it was such a small amount, because of this i have now registered an account and i will definitely be using them again. For me it is lovely when a company can be so helpful even with such a small order and because of that i will now use them more often.

First class wine, service and website. Super friendly staff. Ignore Mr Angry below who left 1 star for failing to understand simple notions of commerce.

"Free UK Mainland Delivery when you spend over £120 (£8.50 below £120)".

To me, that would seem that an order of £115.50 would have free delivery.

Instead to Tanners, that means an order of £119.99 is subject to £8.50 delivery, but an order of £120 is subject to free delivery.

I also didn't like being talked down to by a snob when buying £100+ of wine to be honest - "never had this query in four plus years" etc. etc.

Excellent service. Delivered two days after I'd ordered on line. Yes, the delivery charge is quite high; but I was more than happy to go with this. I used to live very close to Shrewsbury/Welshpool, but no more! So it's good to be able to order online and receive our favourites, in time for Christmas.

Good choice of wines. Especially pleased with their own labels at reasonable prices for their quality. Easy website, delivery within a few days with efficient carrier. Also they have delivered throughout Covid when other
merchants were not accepting new orders.
