Our 3rd year in a row travelling with Tailor Made Rail, and would recommend very highly. The attention to detail in setting up the intererary prior to the holiday is reflected in the hassle free travel during the holiday. We have a lot of changes in venue and accommodation during our trips, and all has always run smoothly.

No doubt we will be doing it again next year

Friendly and helpful - but didn't give us quite what we wanted.
They found routes and times we could have found for ourselves - but they didn't offer slightly more obscure routes whose timings would have suited us better....we found out about them later!

This was our second trip arranged by Tailor Made Rail, and it was absolutely fantastic. We had a few specific requests, and true to their name, the team tailored everything perfectly to our needs. We’re already browsing destinations for next year—it’s become a bit of a tradition now!

Well organised travel plans. We had wanted to go by train to Italy but found the options so confusing. TailormadeRail made everything accessible and well oiled. They chose and booked our travel, accommodation and car hire.

There was a minor issue travelling between Florence and Siena because of a line closure. On reflection we should have been advised to go by coach for an hour rather than the much longer rail travel we followed.

The car hire chosen in Siena was perfect

The hotel in Strasbourg was perfect in all ways. The hotel in Milan was well chosen for proximity to station. The hotel in Pisa was nice but a little away from both the station and tourist areas. On reflection we should have advised that we wanted to be near tourist areas. On the other hand that would have been more expensive.

I have used TMR twice now and fins their service excellent. Arranging rail travel and hotels when travelling around europe is possible to do on your own, of course, but if you are planning multi city visits it can be extraordinarily complex and time consuming. TMR takes all that on board for a reasonable price, and the hotels they choose are excellent. They are always helpful when contacted, both before the trip and even during it. I have not experienced any problems with their organising of my trips

We gave TMR a rough outline of the trip we were thinking of doing and we received an itinerary within a day. After a few tweaks we settled on a final plan and they did all the bookings (hotels, flight and trains). The tickets arrived with enough information as to how to use the rail passes and we had a great holiday. Whilst we were away they contacted us to inform us that one of our travel days was affected by a national strike and they seamlessly provided alternative travel plans. Great to have the back up.

Excelent service.
The staff responded very promptly to any request/adjustment during the planning stage.
The journey ran like clockwork and the hotels chosen were within 5-10 minutes walk of each station.
We would definitely recommend TMR to anyone.

Overall a very good trip. Obtaining a metro ticket at Gare du Nord was a challenge, mainly due to ticket machines on a go slow. Hotel Bristol in Avignon, was our choice however worth noting the breakfast is poor, location is excellent! Hotel Residence In Narbonne is a real gem.

We had a marvellous holiday. The price was good and the itinerary excellent. Booking was easy and the staff were very helpful when we needed to make alterations to dates. Overall a thoroughly enjoyable experience.

All went extremely smoothly. Problem with first hotel dealt with on site. Melissa arranged alternative transport because of a strike of which we were unaware. Without her involvement the whole journey to Dijon could have been a nightmare - very grateful

Our holiday went very smoothly. All train journeys were great, Hotels were well placed for the stations and nice to stay in. All in all we had a very enjoyable journey through the Baltic states.

We have been considering a journey like this for some years. This journey although a little tiring is without doubt the journey of a lifetime. The train journeys to and from Switzerland (Swiss Alps) were amazing with the experience of Avanti (WC), ICE, TGV and Eurostar you are treated to fast and clean transport. First class or Plus is definitely the way to go as they provide service, good air conditioning and reserved seats where you can see well. You need to be reasonably fit to do this journey and you need to have your wits about you if things don’t go to plan. Lifting luggage on and off trains can be tricky too as the trains go up several stairs or there may be an upper level to navigate. I would highly recommend the trip and TMR.

TMR is a great company to use, they listen to your requests and put together a holiday to meet your needs. The information is always very organised and clear to use. They have a high standard of hotels and are available via e mail at any point. We have and will highly recommend this company to people who enjoy travelling independently.

The travel staff were thorough and gave good advice for things that might improve our holiday. They were quick to respond as our plans developed. The paperwork was comprehensive and all the arrangements went to plan.

Knowing TMR had done the booking gave us reassurance that everything would work. We knew which platform to make for and then signage helped us find our seats.

The response from the team when we needed answers even when we were already on our journey. They were efficient and receptive to ideas and requests.

Everything was superb, since the beginning of the journey when defining the itinerary, routes, hotels, etc, we received excellent tips and suggestions.
The trip was perfect in terms of trains, hotels, and service provided.
We will continue resting in them for futures journeys
