Where do I start

Where do I start! 16 months of hell which is continuing under a new company as they have been bought out by clear business. An engineer attended our business property to change to the new and improved smart meter March 2023 ( that’s how it was sold to us ) A simple mistake by him has led to over a year of absolute hell, he incorrectly submitted a meter reading from one meter to the other of over 3000 units of electricity ( that’s fine it’s a mistake these things happen) Unicom thought to just simply extract £1400 from our business account as we paid via direct debit we are a small business and just recovering slowly from the pandemic at that point so nearly crippled us with other bills arriving at that time. I was advised by Unicom to claim back the payment as it was a mistake to which I did, little did I know that I would then face harassment and threats even a debt collector turning up at the premises scaring the life out of the girls that worked there ( who also promptly left in fear of not getting paid) phone lines were cut and connected to the collections office in Manchester daily emails and letters sent threatening legal action all while the account was under investigation by Unicom for them to try work out what went wrong and speak to the engineer. I eventually had enough and went to the ombudsman to gain a resolution ( they were brilliant by the way ) they quickly ruled in my favour and instructed Unicom to apologise by way of a letter rectify the account and compensate me personally with £200. 1 out of the 3 was actually done I received a letter £200 was credited to my account
( which I didn’t mind at the time) but here is where the problem came, they left the debt on the account. The £200 was swallowed straight up and the debt collectors phone calls emails and letters soon started again ( funny how these stop when they are being looked at by the ombudsman) I had to for the second time recover a direct debit amount as I reinstated this thinking it was sorted by the ombudsman. Up until today this still not resolved and I can’t reopen an old case with the ombudsman either as I accepted the resolution ( be careful if your ever in this situation). The hours upon hours I have lost on the phone, writing emails contacting the ombudsman and now a solicitor for something that wasn’t even my fault and they still like to pass the book wherever possible. My advice to anyone thinking of moving to this company stay well clear as they’ve changed the name to avoid these complaints but the incompetence remains under the new banner also.

AVOID - very poor service received

I initially signed up for a telephone and broadband deal that seemed reasonable. I was promised seamless service, but that proved to be far from reality. On the day my service was supposed to go live, I encountered numerous issues. When I contacted customer support, they showed little interest in resolving my problems. It was one of the slowest and most frustrating customer support experiences I've ever had.

Only after numerous calls did they reluctantly agree to send me a replacement router. If you value your time, steer clear of this company. You'll be pulling your hair out when things go wrong.

Even worse is their dishonest pricing strategy. What seemed like a good deal at sign-up ended up costing me nearly double within less than a year due to their sneaky RPI increase calculations. My bill has skyrocketed, and I feel utterly deceived.

Do not be fooled by their initial offers – you will regret it.

This company is actually failing

This company is actually failing. They have changed their name to ClearBusiness to get away from the terrible reviews, but it is exactly the same.

There is no customer service at all. No phones, No emails that work.

They are fraudulently trying to stop me from switching by giving me different contract end dates on my bills and verbally and objecting from my new supplier taking over.

DO NOT USE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES

Had phone line cut off despite previous…

Had phone line cut off despite previous (attempted) communication that due to the account owner passing away, the account the direct debit was coming out of had been frozen. People that we have spoken to on the phone have shown incompetence with a lack of interest in helping sort the issue. Caused a lot unnecessary stress and upset at what is already a difficult time.

Zero service they just want to get ur money this company it is a joke I wil not used any more I won't recommend to any one got a business they kept changing me for service that I didn't use since November and today they changed me £331 for cancelling the service that I didn't use

Responses totally lacking!

When we first started with them they were a great supplier, but now terrible! None of the 'phone lines respond and it can take 2 weeks to get a reply to an e-mail. Not all things can be done on the portal!
