Received email from them saying after selling items on FB marketplace saying they were going to close my account as high risk. Advised were going to refund money to customers that had already received goods. Non existant customer service, kept saying would review then would close chat saying resolved without responding or sending exactly the same message. Would not recommend them to anyone, completely unprofessional!!

Would rate 0 if it’s available. I know how frustrating you’re when your account get closed because I am one of you. However, some of you may not know that their live chat will even exists when your account get closed. ****This can be solved by creating a new business account based on the account you get closed. On the left top corner, you’ll able to create a new account and if you’re on that account, you can open a ticket with live chat****. Emailing them will not help anything, they will just completely ignored and gave you a copy paste answer all the time. I not only get my account get closed once but twice. Within the same month, the first close, they took 2 weeks to review and decided to re-open, just a little less than 1 month later, they close again for the same reason which shows their team is a mess and unprofessional. Dealing with live chat support will not help anywhere but since I can see a lot of people experienced same problem, stressing their live chat support will reduce their support speed to really low which will force them to take action. If you’re doing nothing now, they will just keep ignoring you. By the way, If you have any remaining balance, you should def do like I said to chase them because it will not become payable after held periods.

Incredibly poor service received from Stripe. We were victims of a fraudulent payment. Not only did we not receive the payment for the services provided - we were then charged by Stripe an additional fee of £15. The support was non existent. Copied and pasted text which did not help our situation- then stopped responding to requests for help. The platform to submit evidence would not work despite repeated attempts. We have had to put it down as a loss and will never use this service again.
Just awful
Just awful. received an email from them after selling items on fb market place saying they are closing my account as it is "high risk." I am a single parent selling unused items - how can I be high risk? Have been backwards and forward via email all morning and unable to get any explanation from them whatsoever. If that isn't bad enough, they are saying they are going to refund every single payment I have ever received (almost £200!!) to the buyers (even though they have all received my items). Well I don't have £200!! Incredibly upsetting and very stressful. And they can't even explain why. Oh, and they're not going to pay me the money the owe me that they are currently holding. No contact numbers, no live chat - you can't get hold of anyone, all you receive in response to emails is a collection of standard paragraph response that don't tell you anything.

Stripe customers - the real business problem.
The reality is that the only problem with Stripe is some of the customers. They want stripe to be their business analysts and their accountants. Wake up people! Stripe is a payment processor. Stripe is a great service if only people understand what Stripe does. Stripe is customisable, yes, but it’s not 10 aspects of your business- it’s 1. People who have ten questions for stripe in the one email show just how incompetent they are at reading all the resources that have been provided. Instead of getting angry understand the role of a payment processor. I do. We all need help at times but have a bit of ability yourself to manage a business.

They ask for face verification. When I have done face verification, the email has come that we are closing your stripe due to fraudulent activity even we talked to that client who got failed during payment after that we have sent many emails stripe is not responding, THE MAIN THING IS THAT WE GOT MORE THEN 30 ORDERS AND EVEN OUR STRIPE WAS FRESH. THEY DIDN’T RELEASE A SINGLE AMOUNT, WE ALWAYS AVOID TO LATE DELIVERY, SO WE PROCEED WITH ORDERS FROM OUR POCKET WITHOUT WAITING FOR THE AMOUNT RELEASED FROM STRIPE. After 5 years of collaboration, 40K euros each month, our account was suddenly blocked without notice (also blocking telephone and messaging). We have just received an email telling us that all payments for the last 12 days (20,000 euros) will be refunded to all our international customers, including paid invoices from our business partners and all purchases that have been made (once the product is consumed very few customers are inclined to re-pay and do not understand this story - we tell them it's Stripe but most of them do not understand - we would not understand if it did not happen to us). We have forbidden Stripe to proceed, have sent an official letter as per our lawyer, and will sue them if we do not see any relevant actions. Furthermore, all our payments are protected with 3D Secure. Before engaging with Stripe, be aware that they fall under the laws of countries that are complacent. Rates seem attractive but finally, the competitors with good comments on TrustPilot are far better and will assist you to grow your business well. Stay away from Stripe.

In genere ha funzionato sempre tutto bene.
Ma a Novembre, a seguito di un cambio di intestazione, Stripe mi ha inviato un Payout di oltre 7500€ sul conto, mettendo però il nome beneficiario sbagliato.
La mia banca (Unicredit) ha dovuto rimandargli indietro il bonifico. Da lì ho comunicato a Stripe il problema, e mi hanno risposto che non erano in grado di tracciare il pagamento tornato indietro.
Ho addirittura ottenuto da Citibank (la loro banca) una conferma che i soldi gli sono tornati indietro (con tanto di numero transazione e beneficiary id), ma nonostante tutta la documentazione ufficiale fornita, dopo tre mesi, Stripe continua a negare di essere in possesso dei miei soldi, per il semplice fatto che il pagamento non è stato automaticamente reintegrato sul mio account.
Sto per denunciare il CEO di Stripe per Frode e Appropriazione Indebita di beni. Trovo scandaloso che un'azienda che come unico lavoro ha quello di trasferire e proteggere i nostri soldi, abbia un servizio clienti che se ne infischia in questo modo. Surreale. Dei veri e propri ladri.
Very bad - Closed my account after customer fraudulently claimed a chargeback to their account
Very poor service from this company - In fact I would go so far as to say fraudulent. I sold a couple of high value items - £961 on F/B Marketplace which required the items to be delivered. I eventually set up payment via F/B with their payment provider 'Stripe' which was not easy and unfortunately I did not read the reviews on Trustpilot first (Big mistake). The two orders were paid for, items posted, with tracking provided, then two days later I get an email from Stripe stating "You transaction is being disputed as fraudulent by HSBC UK". Bearing in mind that both payments were accepted via 'Stripe' as 'Normal activity' I then go through the process of submitting all of my evidence to prove otherwise, to then be informed " Thank you for completing our verification process. Unfortunately, after conducting a further review of your account, we’ve determined that we still won't be able to accept payments for your facebook marketplace account moving forward". This, because one of the two payments has been disputed by a fraudulent buyer intent on receiving their money back at my expense. I have now been informed that I will not receive payment and that my customers will be refunded. Surely this cannot be legal as I am still awaiting the outcome of the case from the fraudulent buyers bank. PLEASE AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS. As you are very likely to be left out of pocket. Please answer me this - Why is the seller the one to be out of pocket when Stripe are working on the sellers behalf to take payment and ensure that this doesn't happen or at the very least, work with you to resolve the issue? VERY POOR PRACTICE

Seized Funds
Stripe suspended our account and has blocked our funds in their custody - approx. $3,500, without warning and without recourse. They are refusing to pay us back and/ or to refund the underlying transactions. We are in limbo for more than 2 weeks now and have no visibility on how this will be resolved.
What happened?
We are a hotel operator and recently changed our channel manager to Beds24, which comes with an easy integration with Stripe. We activated an automatic charge of Virtual Cards for reservations done via Booking.com. Unfortunately Beds24 automatic system had a bug (they fixed based on our case) and they tried to charge VCs with a wrong info (no charge was actually made and these cards were "ours" anyway). Because of this, Stripe blocked our account and balance for over 2 weeks now. They argued we are a high risk business and that we violated terms and conditions. However we have 0% disputes, 0 dispute count, 0% high risk transactions by they own measures on the Dashboard. Most of the counterparties on these transactions are Booking.com and Beds24. Both reputable, global organizations that supported our case directly with Stripe. We also provided backup reservations forms and correspondence for all transactions... Nothing helped. Of course, there is nobody you can talk to on the phone. All communication is done by email and having to restart discussions with different customer service reps.
In short, please be aware that:
1. Stripe Can and Will seize your funds without warning and at their full discretion
2. You have nobody to talk to in such a case. Expect boiler plate and superficial emails from Stripe customer service.
3. This can happen to the most "vanilla" business in hospitality on fully documented and undisputed transactions with counterparties such as Booking.com...
Oh, by the way, in addition to support email, we already wrote to "heretohelp" email and got the same boiler plate reply. They are not there to help.
VERY BAD EXPERIENCE

Before I also read comments and see that "Stripe blocked my account without a reason"... and like that, I have not believed the comments but I trusted them and think that they will not do it for me, but they did, they blocked my account, because of an unauthorized charge, I sent to review, they send "because of higher risk you will not use Stripe" as a reply. I have been using Stripe almost 1 year and I have accepted 600+ payments through Stripe, so think that if they did it to me(old user) what they can do for newcomers. DO NOT USE PLEASE.
So they will refund 942 pounds to the customers who they received their product already. And remaining part will be hold on my balance, but I will not take it. AND IT WAS A VERY BAD EXPERIENCE FOR ME I DO NOT ADVISE STRIPE TO USE.
