I was fooled into thinking that a lower cost online solution would be good value. Pre treatment I had some crowding on my bottom teeth - but my bite was absolutely fine - all my teeth connected. Since treatment - the crowding has been “fixed” but most of my teeth now do not connect leaving me with an open bite. Straight Teeth Direct have been rude since I raised this and have blamed the bite issue on my wisdom teeth - therefore saying they are not to blame. But in the same breath - also say it’s part of the adjustment process for teeth not to align. It’s been a year since treatment and my teeth haven’t met since then. I have now had to consult an orthodontist where I have to wear fixed braces to fix what was done through the treatment with Straight Teeth Direct. They offered me smaller alingers that help teeth “settle” but asked that in return I’m not allowed to make any bad reviews of them. Totally scandalous to be silenced. Do not make the same mistake I made. They are friendly to begin with, until you have a problem. They are unwilling to refund the cost of my treatment with them which is wrong given they have now broken their contract and given me a bite that is no longer functional.

Since I wrote my review, the company has disabled my account - so I can no longer access my dental records.

I encourage anyone thinking of treatment to filter the reviews by those that gave it one star and see how many people are affected by
- bite issues denied by STD
- closure of account for complaining (and therefore no access to their dental records)
- offered something in exchange for not posting bad reviews

To claim my wisdom teeth (which I’ve had since I was 16) caused my teeth to move and affect my bite, and not the retainers (designed to move my teeth) doesn’t make sense.

Blocking access to my dental records and correspondence with them is wrong, when they receive a rightful complaint.

I had an absolutely brilliant expirence with Straight Teeth Direct. It was incredibly smooth and they're customer care was one of the best I've experienced. There is a bit of a process getting started which seemed a little long for me but when I got the retainers it was very smooth sailing. At the very end when I was actually very happy with my teeth, they wanted to send out three more adjustments just so it was perfect for them. Really brilliant. Only thing is the end retainer they give doesn't seem to be the best quality, mine broke ( I had in my pocket, my fault) so will need to pay for their maintainer plan which is like 130 a year.

I chose STD based off the reviews, that would be about a year and 8 months ago. Compared to other teeth straightening companies, they had the most positive reviews, and obviously you have to take into account poor reviews, but the majority made mention of an issue where a customer had not stuck to the plan in some way. So in my mind, I knew I'd stick to the plan so I'd more likely be one of the customers to get a good result, which I'm over the moon to say I did.
STD are very helpful and responsive on the app, the app is very easy to use.
The aligner treatment itself was straight forward for me, I didn't have any problems and I've continued going to my own dentist for check ups with no issues raised. It so nice to see the before and after and be happy with my smile.
I'm now going onto maintainer plan because quite simply I want my teeth to stay straight! But cannot recommend enough to anyone who isn't happy with their teeth, the value for money when you compare to other teeth straightening companies is exceptional and the quality of the service is up there too. Very happy customer.

Cannot rate Straight Teeth Direct enough, absolutely brilliant! I was sceptical at first but was reassured by their thoroughness, communication (you always get a response to any query) and not least the aligners themselves. What can I say, my journey has been longer and probably more complicated than most, touching 3 years now. I’ve had a fair amount of issues with a particular front tooth, but managed to get a really good outcome using STD. They have Been so approachable, professional and helpful! It’s rare to find a company like this that’s so customer focused and set on achieving great results for people.

I have been a loyal customer of Straight Teeth Direct for many years. I completed my treatment almost two years ago and shortly thereafter, I had the opportunity to join their maintenance plan, which I highly recommend. According to the plan, I am advised to use the retainer three times a week, but I find myself using it most days. After investing so much time and effort into achieving perfectly straight teeth, I see no reason to let them revert back to their previous state.

However, in person, they advised against it due to the inconvenience of keeping it clean and the need to avoid certain foods. I signed up to straight teeth direct to get my teeth straightened as its in the name, instead of paying £3000 at my local cosmetic dentistry I decided to go with STD at £1600. The braces always been delivered on time and STD are great at monitoring the progress but at the end of the treatment, my bottom teeth are still crooked. I've messaged STD stating that I'm not impressed that my bottom teeth crooked and need longer treatment to set them straight.

In the end they replied back to me saying that I would have needed to have wired fixed braces as my teeth would be (on the cliff edge) if they continued the invisible braces treatment. Why was I not informed this right at the very start?

STD also messaged me saying that its an "improve smile" treatment and not a fully "Fixed your teeth straight" treatment.

I felt misguided and cheated

After a year, I can finally afford to go back to my local cosmetic dentistry to fixed my crooked teeth as STD failed to do so.

Overall an acceptable service for the price offered. However, the customer service is poor when it comes to answering targeted questions on specific patient cases or specific requests - you'll always get quick automated answers with zero specific info about your questions. No real human interaction can be a real problem. Especially bad for me is their delivery timeline. If you break one of your very delicate aligners or a retainer you have to consider a minimum of 3 weeks minimum to have it delivered, plus the extra time of weekends or to sign papers legal papers they send you. This is exactly because in 3 weeks time while not wearing an aligner/retainer your teeth might move and you might consequentially experience fitting problems. I find this quite unacceptable, as the 3D printing should be quite quick. This would be the main reason why I wouldn't re-use Street Teeth Direct.

I have been thinking about getting g aligners for a while and I had a fixed retainer on my bottom teeth from previous braces.

straight teeth direct gave created my 3D outcome and explained what I needed to do to get the fixed retainer removed and the. Receive a customised impressions kit to then do again, I had a lot of questions regarding this and they were super helpful and quick to respond!

I have had my aligners on since March time and on my 4th set and they are great quality and we’re easy to fit not as uncomfortable initially as I thought!!
They do advise as well, if you need check ups or dental treatment to do so beforehand which I did and I’ve had no problems!

My teeth have straightened so much so far I’m beyond happy & the customer service and professionalism from the company is second to none.

Also I’m comparison with other aligner companies the price alot cheaper and I used one of their payment plans through a company Humm which initially I was worried about but it’s been smooth sailing - overall excellent value for money if you want to straighten your teeth & be fully supported along the way.

Hands on heart all I can say is wow I couldn't smoke for 34 years of my life and these retainers do actually work alot of people have noticed the difference I can now smile for a change thanks guys

Very satisfied with my results. I absolutely recommend. Flat rate, no hidden fees and excellent service. They are quick to reply to any question you have in the process and the follow up process is well established.
The treatment itself can be painful the first days and when you change your aligners. This is not magic, it does require you to be committed and follow the instructions but if you stick to it, you will be very satisfied with the results.
I personally love my new smile and get many compliments.

Absolute scam! The treatment was supposed to last for 8 months, but it ended up being over a year, and at no point did they ever warn me that it would be longer.
The worst is that the treatment actually worsened my teeth. I had an underbite on one side and overbite on the other side (you can clearly see that my bottom teeth are covering my upper arch). I complained and they said it would fix over time… LOL.
