I have been using them for several years and the main problem has been late delivery.
However more recently their service has become awful. I have an order for mid-Jan this has not been delivered (now mid-March). I have been in contact and about 10% of the time I get a useless reply with no delivery date provided
It's a shame because the quality is reasonably good. Won't be using them anymore, it's just not worth the hassle.
Edit: now June and no replies to emails at all. Had to contact credit card provider for a refund. Trading standards informed.

I placed a order with them on sunday to be delivered on 13/03/2026 and booked the day off work so i would be in, i have looked at this site a few times but usually order from the village butcher but thought i would give this a try for a change.
The order never arrived i have had no contact to say if it will ever arrive just the invoice from when i first put the order through on sunday the 8th so they have had days to get this sorted.
I tried to ring them today and after the 12th time of not being able to get through i tried to email them with the email adress they gave me however the emai bounced back to me as their email adress is no longer in use, i did find an other email adress for them and tried them on that but still they have not contacted me back so i have contacted Pay Pal as i have no trust in a company that gives out the wrong contact details so you cannot contact them.
So from now on i will stick with my usual supplier rather than a rip off company that takes your money and doesnt fulfill your orders

Placed an order last week that should have been delivered today. I haven't received any tracking information, no communication, no reply to the email I send yesterday and phones are constantly engaged. They obviously don't care about their customers

To be fair, the warning signs were there when it took half an hour to even place the order because the website kept failing to take the payment.

I've ordered in the past and not had any issues, but it seems to have gone downhill since then. I won't be using them again.

Fortunately I paid via PayPal, so I can contact them about getting my money back.

They couldn't run a bath, just avoid them!

I HAVE NOT RECEIVED MY ORDER. HAVE NOT RECEIVED ANY INFO FROM THE DELIVERY FIRM. I WOULD LIKE A REFUND, THANKYOU, DAVID GREGSON.

I had an order go wrong, against my better judgement I gave another chance. Placed an order, no goods arrived on the day they stated. Contacted them and got no response. When they did respond I got the runaround for 3 weeks. No response after this so I had to resort to PayPal to get my money back. Just had an email( 18 Aug 2026) asking for more details about the error in delivery, they were not interested when I finally resorted to paypal to get my money back.

The worst customer service I have yet received.

Placed an order to be delivered on the 13th of February 2026 - order was over £120 in value. According to the order tracker on the website - the order has been deelivered - but I have not received anything. Tried to call numerous times and the lines states alwaays busy.

Emailed a number of time and no response. 1 star is too much of a compliment for Stilton Butchery.

Ordered early February for delivery on thr 18th. No delivery. New date email for a week later. No delivery. Email stating someone would call. No call. Processed a refund though paypal. Continued to receive their promotions emails throughout. Do not order with these butchers/scammers.

Please please please do yourselves a favour and dont order off this lot I got 4 different delivery dates over the course of a month but never arrived all I got was excuses, Promises and lies got sick of being stuck waiting in the house for orders that never arrived so when I got a message saying someone would be in touch to arrange delivery just told them to forget it and got my money refunded through PAYPAL . I was told they were closing for 3 weeks to sort out the backlog but during that 3 weeks I was still getting bombarded with emails with offers for meat so definitely not closed just another lie pity because I have spoken with the owner on previous orders and genuinely seems decent lad and the meat was good.. But definitely not worth the hassle will need to look elsewhere..

Placed an order before Xmas. A couple of items were missing and on the delivery note it stated 'refund'. I did not receive the refund of £40.75 and I started emailing them in December, again 23rd January. Martyn emailed back saying he would pass it on to the accounts. Still nothing, now they are ignoring my emails. I am so disappointed, I have used them for a number of years.

Just terrible service all over. Missed delivery's, no communications and promises that are not kept. This company is just not worth the time or effort.

I’ve been waiting for my order since February 7 2026
They have never returned my emails their phone is always busy promise calls to arrange delivery date as I’ve slipped through the net never happen.
I think its time to go to Trading Standards for miss selling a product also Paypal for a refund for not receiving my goods.

Had an email asking for a review. Still waiting for my order.

Always top service, easy to use online ordering and superb quality produce.

Order not delivered on the scheduled date, nor on 2 more dates advised by them.
Owner (James) sent email and WhatsApp messages apologising and advising authorised Sat delivery, and still failed to be delivered. Then said Weds - and failed to arrive again.
Gurantee it will be with you on Weds - failed again
The meat is really good quality - but now 22 days overdue.
I hope they sort their problems out - but last 4 orders failed to arrive on due date - and can't just accept fresh meat is sent whern you feel like.
Plus they don't answer the phone, and even voice mail advises box is full.

UPDATE
order finally arrived on 6th March - 23 days after it was due.
As usual Product is first rate, but customer service & logistics is shocking and getting worse each time I place an order.

What a disgrace. I ordered products from them and paid but when i looked at my account its said i had no orders with them. Even today it says the same. I have emailed them and tried to phone them and just cannot get in touch. It just looks like they have taken my money and run. Will NOT be using them again

I tried to call, email time and again without receiving a reply. I tried to alter my delivery due to a clash of commitments- again zero response.
I therefore CANCELLED my order but again received zero acknowledgement of cancellation or any communication in any format whatsoever. Hugely unprofessional to the level of incompetence.
Let’s see if an order turns up when I’m away.

Ordered on 3rd Feb. for delivery on 11th for a specific event. Have phoned numerous times but no answer and mailbox is full. Filled in their online form and the PayPal one but, no reply.. They are still sending out marketing emails!! How they can fulfil these when they can't deliver earlier orders? 3rd March today and still nothing and no refund which was requested 2 weeks ago. Do not use this company, there are plenty of others around

Avoid... Appalling customer service, shop somewhere else. Never received an order placed in mid January. Despite sending multiple emails, messages via their website and attempts to get through via the phone, I have had no contact back from them about the order let alone a refund. But they continue to send me several "offer" emails everyday

Placed an order Dec 25 spent £197. only half of the order arrived (late). Despite promises that the rest is on its way we are still waiting. Excuse after excuse then stopped responding all together to our queries. The meat is great if it arrives but I would not buy from this company again we have sadly been ripped off.

Ordered on 28/12/2025. Money taken, numerous failed delivery dates. Emailed, telephoned and used WhatsApp, promised resolution. Now being ignored! Have been a loyal regular customer. No more! Payment has been escalated for refund.
