I'm a serial entrepreneur and have raised a lot of money in the past, but I am restarting a big vision that I lost control of - walked away from - and needed very special guidance, especially in this financial environment. I cannot tell you how many thousands and thousands of dollars I have spent through the years working with so-called investment advisors or fractional CFOs who took lots of money and didn't deliver. I am very good at developing, pitching and closing, but the messaging and strategy are even more key with very heavy competition today. And how do you find the right investors?

But one day this past November Ryan Cash, CMO of Fundable reached out. He wasn't just a salesman - he could address valuation cap and much more. I checked out their reviews and they were great. Ryan passed the test, so I decided to take a chance and pay for a guided raise. I then started working with Kevin Brennan to create my deck. His creative is impeccable, but I wanted to run my positioning up the flagpole. Justin Chagin then connected me to the CEO and also COO Elliot Schneier who told me shift my focus and my raise amount. Then I reached out to the Lead Advisor Ed Kang and told him Elliot's advice and he helped me with the structure of it all. Last week I had a short and impactful call with the CEO Wil Shroder of the company to help me hone the positioning. Now Kevin has updated the pitch deck while my financial people revisited the proforma and they start outreach end of this week. They are curating their list to 100 angels that are interested in tech. It's a perfect plan. I have contacts, too, but because I will only be paying a small monthly fee, I can use their platform for the whole raise.

My gut was right, and it is amazing that this company exists for entrepreneurs - especially because they give access to the top people in their company to help us get what we need.
