I stopped at Starbucks on the Woodall South service station on the M1. The coffee was burnt, and tasted awful. Two sips and it went in the bin.

This will be my last visit to Starbucks.
I just spend nearly £10 for a small cappuccino and a cheese and ham toastie. However, that’s not even my issue. My issue is that the toastie was served uncut with wooden fork and knife, not up to the job to cut it in half or more manageable pieces. When I asked staff to please cut it in half for me they told me that was not possible for health & safety reasons. I said I didn’t want to touch the knife, they could cut it - apparently that is not possible.
This is the icing on the cake for a coffee chain that already has had so much reputational damage with their over roasted beans and poisonous decaf - I shall not return. An absolute joke.

Starbucks in Hemel Hempstead. Staff standing around and the place is dirty. Tables not wiped, food and litter all over the floor. Tops of hot drinks not attached properly. Won’t be going again.

I went to Starbucks at the retail park in Hartlepool for the first time. It will be the last. We ordered 2 tall cappuccino which cost nearly £8. The drinks were hot, but they weren't coffee drinks. They had no coffee taste and just tasted like hot watered milk. Even the colour was a pale beige. Definitely won't be returning.

Honestly the worst and getting worse. So slow, and the emphasis on drive thru and delivery folk over the people in the restaurant makes me wonder why invest in the restaurants at all. Just have some crappy warehouse location where all you have are drive thru and delivery companies show up. It’s not like they clear tables either. Just find somewhere else!

Starbucks bath road hounslow visit
I visited Starbucks on Bath Road, Hounslow TW6 2AA on Thursday March 5th, 2026 around 6.22pm ish.
The store looked tidy and customers seemed to be have a great time. There were some spaces available and I was really looking forward to enjoy a couple of hot drinks and some food with my partner.
We queued up and fortunately were next to be attended in line and had to wait less than a minute. We were really looking forward to sitting down by the window and spend some money in the store.
Unfortunately our experience was ruined by a lady with blond hair and wearing glasses at the till who simply destroyed the experience. To begin with, she was just starring at us and received no greeting despite myself greeting her.
I ignored it and went on to place my order first which she kindly typed in however my partner was after a white hot chocolate and the lady at the till rudely declined my partner’s order quoting she cannot serve that drink as it is not on the menu (however I actually ordered a white hot chocolate the week before).
She tone was slightly elevated and mentioned some stuff about company policy and something else which I couldn’t figure out as her communications skills are pretty poor.
Eventually my partner and I decided to go to another starbucks store (and we actually got served a white hot chocolate with outstanding customer service)
I would strongly recommend that the lady at the till is given extensive customer service training as in this industry, customer service is key to customer retention.
Having missed my business will not affect starbucks’ revenue but if a customers are being treated like this, revenue will start to decline and I certainly dont want the branch to close.
Starbucks management - over to you.

I’ve stopped at Starbucks, Uttoxeter services for a flat white and comfort break. The toilets were disgusting to say the least! They were dirty and had not be cleaned for days! The rest of the place was at best ‘acceptable’. Very disappointing and unacceptable. Stay away.

Small point but it matters to me because I’m paying. Why does Ripley Starbucks seem to think that a cortado comes in a large mug, “it doesn’t “ it should be in a small glass as this is how it’s advertised simple really. Needs sorting.
