Purchased black mantel to complete refurbishment of living room.
Arrived within timeline promised and great communication from Stuart. Great quality and looks lovely
Might have to order another one for the dining room!

I had been searching for months to find a non combustible mantle and had been to so many showrooms and had samples delivered but all of them looked fake. Then I found Stuart’s workshop and asked for samples in the black slate effect . It was a brilliant match but I was still a bit wary of buying such a large item over the internet without seeing the whole mantle . Stuart liased with me about size and spacing for drill holes etc and basically reassured me . The final result was everything I wanted and I would recommend this product to you

We wanted a bespoke oak beam for our newly installed wood burner fireplace. We found Stuart’s workshop on line. He was incredibly helpful from the first contact and kept us updated throughout the process of order and to delivery. We did not want a false beam but needed heat safety. The beam that Stuart made for us with the heat shield is a work of art! It looks stunning and finished off our fireplace perfectly. I would not hesitate to recommend him. Stuart has produced several individual pieces of hand-crafted furniture for us including a dining table, bookcase and TV unit. Each piece was made with meticulous care and to the highest standards Communication with Stuart is excellent and he went above and beyond to ensure each piece of our furniture met our requirements exactly. I have used Stapelhillworkshop many times now over the last few years to make solid oak fireplace mantle's. They have always delivered a super quality product which I have been proud to put in my rental properties. They made it exactly to my specifications and posted everything with all of the correct fixings.

We had a great experience with Stuart from start to finish. We needed a bespoke mantle to fit an awkward situation so we sent Stuart a photo and measurements. He replied on the same day with helpful advice so we ordered straight away.
The mantle duly arrived expertly packaged and as it was quite heavy we decided to engaged a builder to install it for us. We are thrilled with the results and would not hesitate to recommend Stuart.

Absolutely superb experience from Staplehill. We had an exact idea of what we wanted for a mantle above our wood burner fireplace but as it was non standard, we had difficulty trying to find it.
