First time user of their service from Chelmsford to Stansted and back. I was worried when I read the reviews, but my experience was very positive and will certainly use them next time. My outbound driver (Sarah) turned up on time and my inbound driver (Diana) showed up at the airport within 10 mins of letting her know that I had cleared security. Part of the payment is via cash, so something to note if you are used to paying via card. They come recommended and the price to and fro Stansted (from Chelmsford) was very competitive.

Time wasters - avoid
Ordered well in advance to pick my family from Stansted airport when they arrive for Easter. Today (a week before their arrival) they emailed me my trip is cancelled - apparently due to high demand! What a riddiculous excuse.
Now as it so close all quotes went up and I need to spend much more with another companies.

They never showed up
They never showed up. They had given a wrong price and did suddenly not want to drive to the price they had given me. They tried to contact me via email that ended in my spam filter, and therefore I did not see them. Yes, they had my phone number, but despite that, they just decide not to show up instead.
We used Uber instead, they saved us that day, we come to the Airport, and it was cheaper than the prize they did not want to drive for. Good luck! :-)

Taxi did not show up
Preordered a taxi and received confirmation but it did not show up. Neither the driver nor the company could be reached on phone. Very unpleasant, unreliable experience.

My wife and I were delighted with every aspect of our journey. The car was of a very high standard, and very comfortable. The driver was very courteous and careful, and was very friendly during the journey

Excellent and reliable service
To say in a few words: Best British service and punctuality. I paid for the return ticket on the first day, and of course, on the day of return, the driver was at the right time and the right location, even though I had already paid!

Generally great
In general, experience with Stanstedairporttaxi was fantastic. Car is confortable and the driver are really nice.
However, they always say that they will e mail me the confirmation e mail with driver's name and contact detail, but they rarely do. It didn't affect my travel but I was slightly worried about if they actually have my booking.
Would still recommend this company to others though. ^^

On 99% of our transfers the drivers name and contact number is sent to the passenger. Unfortunately we cannot be assured that the spam/junk mail filters will stop our emails getting into the passengers inbox.
Having checked our records, all previous bookings have always had a validation request email and the drivers name and number sent prior to the transfer.
Awful and a total scam
Got my booking for £10 return to the stansted prenier inn. 2 days later I get an email saying the quote was wrong for a system mistake, and actual price was £36 return..for a 3 minutes journey. Ridicolous.
Won't use it anymore

We are sorry that you feel that you have been scammed.This is not our intention, ever.
At the time of this happening we explained clearly what had happened, which is missing from your review. For the avoidance of doubt you inserted a journey which was not interpreted by Google maps correctly. If you had noticed that the journey map was in effect not starting from the airport and was in fact taking you around the roundabout close to your airport hotel you would have perhaps realised that the quote system was not working correctly. This was explained to you and you did not accept that explanation which is regrettable.
The other point lost here is that you booked a journey which would involve full meet and greet in the airport. This is not a 3 minute pick up or drop off, but rather, a 20-30 minute process for our driver to park their vehicle, walk into the terminal, meet the passenger and then walk back to the car with the passenger before transferring them to their chosen destination. Making a booking for £10 return (which would need to include £6.00 for airport parking) is not viable for any company. We imagine you used the terminal provider, which for short journey's around the airport complex are the best to use and they cost £8.00. For longer journey's we continually offer much better value.
Excellent service at a very competitive price
These guys dealt with me via Email and it was simple to arrange the pick up point, time and date. Got a call from the driver just as my flight had landed and was picked up on time at the arranged pick up point . Was driven home safely in a nice shiny mercedes, even though I had gone for the standard saloon so pleasantly surprised. Would definitely use again!

BAD SERVICE
When we arrived at the airport we received a message that the taxi driver was going to arrive 30 minutes late!
So, we were glad we had not paid in advance and we took an airport taxi.
It is not an acceptable service when somebody is arriving from far away.

The driver concerned did not follow our strict procedures on meeting customers and has since been suspended from service. We are sorry that on this occasion the driver was late and not ready to collect you at the desired time.This is not our usual; standard of service and can confirm that the driver will no longer be working for us in the future.
The best way from and to airport
Driver was on Time with a really good comunication to organise the meeting point.
Confortable and immaculate car.
To be recomended.

Trip from Standsted to Southend and return journey
The taxi was waiting for the party arriving at Stansted, pleasant manner from the driver, helpful.
Again on the return journey was the same the Taxi was waiting at the agreed time, the diver was helpful and got us back to the airport in good time
