Stay well away from SRM MOTORS.
I can't believe autotrader has them on their site.
Srm motors are liars scammers thieves and sold me a car with a fake mot.
I have reported them to DVSA

Really really annoying Rude service
The owner Name of Sam - he is absolute Rude person on the earth
When we are buying car asking any question he refused answers for it and rudely asking to leave the office straight away when tried to ask specifications and price negotiations.
What kind of attitude he is having.
Absolute less than 0 star for this car dealer .
Neither go again to SR motors Nor Recommend anyone.

I found SR Motor Group to be very professional in the vehicle registration of imported vehicles. In fact, with two cars we had a very good experience of the individuals in the company and the company as a whole. I would definitely recommend SR Motors for car trade and private buyers.

Refusing to return money to finance company despite never having the car. Gone round in circles for 5 weeks, lying, robbing jobsworths.

Absolutely horrendous and if I could write negative stars I would.
We purchased a Skoda Octavia VRS from SR motor group. My partner looked at the car and asked if it had been driven through deep water as there were marks to indicate it had. They assured us it hadn’t….
Less than a month later, the car started showing an electrical fault and wouldn’t start. So then began the battle. Phone calls were ignored. Emails were ignored.
We paid for a private company to look at the vehicle and they found 37 faults.

Eventually, they agreed to take the car to be looked at. They provided a courtesy car that did not have insurance or any valid tax. When queried they said it was covered under their company policy but they would not provide us with the details in case we stole them.

They then said we had a faulty ECU which the garage they took it to allegedly repaired. Not even a week later, the same electrical fault was occurring.

Again, we were given a non road worthy courtesy car and they kept our Skoda for weeks to only say they couldn’t replicate the fault.
I provided countless videos proving the fault but apparently it still didn’t happen.

We contacted the garage that the work had been done at and they refused to speak to us or provide us with any evidence to say it had been repaired.

I then stated I would be returning the vehicle for a full refund but they refused to accept this. The company was incredibly difficult to deal with and they wanted nothing to do with us as soon as they had our money.

Nias had horrendous customer service and would shout down the phone at my partner rather than handle the situation. We repeatedly asked to speak to the company director and every time, we were told he was at the other store. When we then tried that store, we were told he wasn’t there.

I sought legal advice and provided the necessary paper work to SR motor group to assist in moving matters along but they still didn’t reply during the required time frame.

The financial Ombudsman could not help as this company is not registered with them.

The only resolution was offered through the finance company. They were provided with all the evidence and provided a refund. The frustrating this is the company were allowed to claim the miles added to the vehicle, despite the fact the only reason miles were added, was because they took so long to respond and deal with the matter.

I would never touch this company ever again. I only wish I listened to the reviews other people had made about very similar situations.

I am currently putting together a case to take to civil court to reclaim losses.

completely non-existent after care. purchased a car from here 3 months ago the car broke down day after purchase was told i have to get the car back to SR MOTOR GROUP myself and they cannot book it in for at least 2 weeks because there main mechanic manager is away. was then told to use warranty but the faults are there when i got the car so no one will help. how was this car released? and how they did not prioritise this as a customer who has just bought a car? think twice before purchasing from this company everytime i ring they have to speak to their boss no one can make a decision. and the boss does not have a number or email. avoid.

The car purchase was very quick and easy and the staff were very clear and helpful in answering all our questions, Ben looked after us during the process and we're very pleased with the new vehicle.

***Trading standards contacted me about my complaint to citizens advice and are opening an investigation into the company. I advise anyone with a problem to contact citizens advice as it will be passed onto trading standards***

Purchased a vehicle and straight away £1400 of repairs were needed and vehicle unsafe to drive. Advisors fobbed me off to another garage, where warranty covered half and I was to cover the rest. Initially advisors said they would sort it but since receiving the bill, completely ignored me after telling me their boss said I have to pay. They ignore all emails and when you call to talk to someone, a Simon answers and says ‘I don’t know anything, I will get someone to call you back’ ‘person dealing with out of office atm’ you never get a call back, absolutely useless.

Contacted citizens advise who advised me to take it to small claims court. Niaz responded to claim, after ignoring me for weeks, trying to get out of paying but in the end agreed and paid. I was without the car for 2 months.

Bosses do not care for consumer rights act and will ignore you, make up lies to get out of paying but ultimately know they are selling dodgy cars and will agree in the end.

Niaz poses online in fancy suits next to fancy cars with quotes about ‘success and working hard’ whilst earning his money from scamming others.

A huge amount of stress came from buying from this company.

Funny that all of the 5* reviews mention someone called Ben… and the rest are people with the same complaint as me.

DO NOT BUY FROM THESE FRAUDSTERS!!!

We bought a used car from Ben at SR Motors, 4 weeks ago. It took a week from initial test drive and deposit to pick up. We were worried by the negative reviews but ours was a very positive experience. Ben was really friendly and responsive to our enquiries. The car was serviced, Mot’ed and valeted and fingers crossed no issues so far!

Chances are that you will have purchased a faulty vehicle and there is zero after sales care.
Do not be veiled by the warranty on offer. It is nor worth the paper it is written on. If you are unfortunate enough to get a faulty vehicle good luck getting the same energy from Simon and Niaz as you did prior to making a payment

My experience, calls not answered, voice & watsapp messages not responded to and when you do finally get to speak with someone, you hear nothing but empty promises or are fobbed off. 3 months later, numerous attempts to get these issues with my vehicle rectified and I am still waiting for a repair that is covered under warranty,
In my opinion, this dealership drag it out with the aim of warranty expiry and their customers just simply giving up.

Bought a car from the company in June 2024 and the car developed faults in Oct 2024. I made claims on the AA warranty which i now realise is a clever ploy by the company to deflect their responsibilities.
The AA warranty provided has covered less than 35% of what we are spending to get the car back on the road (£1442 of £4192).

The car should be under statutory warranty based on the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and we expect to be fully reimbursed.

First attempt at communications with the branch manager met with a very unhelpful response. He even tried to tell me that my statutory right is limited.

Their AA warranty covers only £1000 per claim and limits labour cost to £50 per hour. There is hardly any new generation car that can be fixed for that amount if it develops a major fault. The law is quite clear on our statutory rights and unfair terms. We are looking forward to our day in court with them if they do not deal with this.

My purchase was both easy and quick. Having viewed several cars at this dealership (there's a good range of cars to choose from here) and others, I came back here and bought with confidence because everyone was willing to help and I got good old fashioned honest customer service. Everything was clearly explained so I knew exactly what I was getting. Ben was my main point of contact, but the dealership manager is also very supportive in the whole process. Even though you need to allow 7-10 days for car preparation, servicing and MOT to be done, it was less than a week from deposit paid to having the keys in my hand and driving off with a fully valeted car. Highly recommended.

How many red flags did I ignore!!!!

The worst experience with this garage you have to question if the honest reviews are true.

I went to the garage with my wife to buy a car….. The end.

Finance was discussed but every option seemed to be too much trouble,

Got the finance sorted and wanted to leave a deposit of 5k on my card, sorry we only take £500 max on cards!!!

No worries I will pay by bacs and the finance company has requested bill of sale.

Called the following day to ask why car was still advertised, sorry we have financed to someone else!! Absolutely dumbstruck.

Ironically 7 days later the car is still available for anyone to reserve.

Could it be that it required 2 x tyres and a service and I said it needs to have quality tyres and the correct oil being a high end sports car, there attitude changed once they realised I wouldn’t be a push over, and made every effort to not sell to me.

I asked for a call back 6 times but the manager clearly has no customer service skills or is it too scared to have a direct conversation.

Please stay away from this garage they give other traders a bad name.
