Very disappointed with customer service I received today. Today the leg fell off the glasses I had purchased about a year ago. I returned to the shop hoping and expecting them to be fixed. On entering the empty shop the assistant failed to look up, carried in with what she was doing, then stood and turned her back on me and only then spoke to say she’d deal with me shortly. After looking quickly at my glasses the assistant said they could send them away, it would take a week and cost £20. They are obviously faulty but I was told they were no longer covered for repair so I’d have to pay. These were a replacement for a faulty pair I had for only a matter of weeks. I once had a pair of glasses from my previous optician where the leg came off after a good number of years and they repaired easily and without question, or cost. I won’t be returning to Spectacles Outlet.

My 1st visit to Spectacles Outlet at Peffermill was 3 weeks ago when I took my new prescription to the store. Staff were up front about cost, no hidden extras, and guided me through a number of frames which suited me. I was so impressed that I also ordered prescription sunglasses and enjoyed the same customer experience today. Highly recommended.

I was here a few months ago now, looking for my first pair of glasses wasn’t too sure what to expect .

The gentleman that served me was superb! The knowledge and helpful advice on styles to suit your face shape and without any pressure to buy!

I must of tried over 20 pairs of glasses, no rush no pressure! Just a really nice place to visit!

I would recommend anyone to go here for glasses and will be back :)

On a visit again today at the Peffer place outlet Edinburgh my husband and I cannot rate this spectacle outlet highly enough for frames and lenses at fantastic prices to suit every budget.The knowledge and helpful advice from staff on styles to suit your face shape and without any high pressure sales or obligation to buy is why both my husband and i will continue to go back.Customer service is first class and friendly staff keep you updated by text or call when your glasses are ready to try on and collect.

Absolutely disgusting customer service, I had my eyes tested here and they advised I needed a different prescription, I did not like any of the frames they had in stock so opted to keep my own £200 Michael Kors glasses which they broke while trying to replace the lenses, they would not replace them with a pair of glasses valued at the same price and took no responsibility for breaking them, WARNING - Don’t use this company as you end up loosing money, it’s not cheaper to go here just because it has the name outlet, customer service is non existent and they take no responsibility if they break your glasses!
