We recently had my Grandma's service/cremation at South Leicester Memorial. The staff were very professional. The setting is beautiful and the garden of remembrance is so peaceful. I really liked that the service room had windows looking out at the gorgeous surrounding countryside. So light and bright, such a nice change to dreary, dark, dank cold crematoriums. The service was just how we wanted it, nothing was too much trouble. I liked the fact that we were allowed to go at our own pace and not hurried on because another service was about to take place. Everything was centered for the family left behind to deal with their loss the best way for them. I was amazed and very impressed. I have expressed my wish that when it is my time I want to go to South Leicester Memorial. Thanks the them a very difficult day was made easier by their service and I cannot recommend them highly enough.

As a Celebrant, I was invited to take part in the first Open Day at the South Leicestershire Crematorium on Sunday 13th August. The staff were well prepared and very helpful.

It was a very positive experience for myself, the other suppliers and I believe the public on the day.

I was pleasantly surprised at the number of visitors who came for a look around the crematorium. They asked a lot of questions about the facility and about my role as a Celebrant.

I would be very happy to repeat the experience again maybe next year.

Attended Open Day and we were very impressed with the staff and how helpful they all were. The memorial gardens were beautiful, very peaceful and just right to remember loved ones.

I have been to this crematorium twice for family funerals and when they had the open day I thought this would be a chance to see what happens behind the scenes. I have also just got a job as a funeral arranger and thought this would update be a great chance to learn what happens, make connections with other people in the industry and to see the processes. All the staff members were so knowledgeable and friendly, I also loved how they were open to questions and answered what they could and the crematorium is a beautiful place and the staff are so kind. I honestly learnt alot from this open day and I recommend more people go along.

Great service with such caring and professional staff to help you through very difficult decisions.

I felt that it took far to long from ordering and paying for the stone to it arriving - almost three months, at no point was I kept informed - i had to ring several times to see what the delay was - I find this totally unacceptable - I could have got the stone while I waited from a stone mason locally - the waiting game just draws out the agony
