Although very upsetting it was a lovely service and pleasant and easy access to the venue.

Bev and her team were so helpful and accommodating at such a difficult time.

We chose this location as it was closes to where my Father lived. The whole event was conducted and completed in super grounds and location far better than the site used for my mothers funeral as the Countesthorpe site was not in operation.

I haver two observations to make that would improve the day>

1. More time should be given between one service ending and another starting so that those attending could talk and discuss the event and not feel rushed to leave and move on.
2. A covered area away from the building in the form of an open sided barn type construction where people could assemble, talk and discuss the event.

Lovely building, lovely location.

The funeral went without an hitches or glitches. There was no one trying to rush us through and the sound systems were really good. A traumatic time which was beautifully carried out by South Leicetershire memorial and Charlotte Graham and daughters funeral directors. Thank You

Attended this crem recently for the funeral of an Asian friend. I was very impressed by the friendly and professional staff who went the extra mile to provide all the facilities for a Hindu ceremony, including open coffin arrangements and a shrine for attendees. The location is excellent, clean and bright in lovely well maintained grounds. I would recommend highly.

I am a Celebrant that works in a lot of
Crematoriums in the Leicester area frequently.

This crematorium is outstanding. From
The beautiful gardens-that are regularly pruned- to the welcoming staff who always offer me refreshments before my service begins.

Not forgetting the building- inside and out- which is immaculate with attention to detail to an impeccable standard. Cleanliness is very important to the staff, and I never see anyone just sat down relaxing as they appear to always be doing something to improve their standards.

Every member of staff go the extra mile- and more- to ensure everything runs smoothly every time I work there, and nothing has ever gone wrong with music etc.

The relaxing, clean, environment makes it very easy to work in. I truly believe the staff do not realise how hard working they are and are a credit to the profession.

Friendly, kind, caring.... a brilliant team....

A 5* service spoiled by one small. BUT very visual aspect.

Is it really necessary to announce to attendees at the cremation service that it is the “Low Cost Funeral”?

It may be low cost, but why publicise it?

Modern and well designed internally Calming. Good sound system. Plenty of space. Good car park.

Difficult to put into words as the loss of a parent is very difficult to deal with, but after choosing south Leicestershire memorial for my mums cremation we were all in agreement that this was the correct choice to make. After attending numerous services at other Leicester locations I can only say what a lovely calming place set in beautiful surroundings it is, and would highly recommend them.

Our complaint is not with the funeral itself or the consideration shown to us at that time but what happened after when we placed an order for a memorial plaque in the garden of remembrance. After deciding on the wording for the plaque we were sent an email asking us to confirm everything was correct as it could not be altered after it was engraved. The email contained the correct wording and we confirmed this to the crematorium. Eight weeks later we received a telephone call informing us that the plaque had been put in place on the memorial plot. James Taylor (husband of the deceased) visited the memorial garden the same day only to find both the date of birth and date of death were incorrect. This caused obvious distress. On informing the crematorium staff of this mistake it was found that the stonemason had made the original error probably from a previous template but had sent a proof copy to the crematorium with the incorrect dates for them to verify and unfortunately this was not picked up by the crematorium staff and consequently the plaque was engraved wrongly. We feel it was an error that should not have occurred and we had to wait another two weeks for it to be rectified. The plaque is now in place and we are satisfied with the finished article.

Really accommodating, allowing a family pet to attend the service which was extremely helpful in assisting the boys say goodbye to their mum.

In one of the most difficult times of my life, my family and myself were treated with the utmost curtsey, compassion and respect from everyone we dealt with at the south Leicester memorial, the grounds are varied and beautiful and very well maintained, we decided on an internment tree in the wild meadow part of the grounds, as my husband loved the country side and nature, and it just felt so perfect for him to be there as it didn't feel like anything but the countryside, and the crematorium building rather than looking like a crematorium, looks more like a small hotel, which again in my view is a plus.

With the friendliest staff one could wish for, in a perfect environment, they provide an excellent, highly professional service.

It’s an amazing crematorium, it’s a spotlesy clean place and the staff are lovely, I would 100% recommend it to anybody x

Countesthorpe crematorium is a lovely place in lovely surroundings. The staff are very helpful and obliging.
