Excellent company: they are responsive, efficient and know what they are doing.

All work completed as per original schedule. All workmen very professional in both their work execution, politeness, attention to detail, and them leaving the premises tidy and clean. High quality tuition on system during “handover”.
Company forwarded all required documentation on schedule. When I asked questions they were promptly answered with all information requested.
An excellent service I highly recommend to anyone thinking of installing solar panels.

Unlike other companies, this one will come round your house and spend the time to go over options and and potential savings, there was no hard sell at all. The Installation went well, apart from a small niggle on setting up the system up. Overall I'm very happy as it's been running smoothly for the last 6 months now. I also recommended to a friend and they also were happy with everything

I chose the firm as they were a local business with bags of experience. They may have been a little more expensive than others claimed to be but every aspect of the installation and after service support has been outstanding. No issues with the equipment but they have answered every question I have asked and provided plenty of advice about getting the max from the panels.

Solar Home were chosen because they supplied their quotes in a professional way with a site visit. Best advice was then supplied regarding a smart meter and number & position of panels & battery. Once selected their surveyor was instructed which clearly benefited the installation team.
I was aware that cheaper other companies did not carry out any home visits which potentially cause severe problems on the installation day.
The solar Home installers carried out the fit in a professional and friendly manner.

From start to finish, SOLARHome, provided honest accurate quotes, timelines and professional services.

The salesman talked me out of having bird guards. Within a week, pigeons were investigating under the panels. I had to spend a day and a half on my roof retrofitting bird guards. He also talked me out of having 2 extra panels which will fit on my roof.
I was informed that my panels were 4.8KW peak and, like an idiot, I assumed that on a sunny day I would get something approaching that. Not a bit of it. The inverter has an output limit of 3.6 KW. So my system is not 4.8KW peak it's 3.6. This is infuriating. I should have been offered a larger inverter and I should have been told about this. After sunset, the power available from my battery is even less. It's 2.5 KW. Why was I not told about this?
The day after I went on holiday for two weeks, the output circuit breaker tripped, thus depriving me of the 13 best generating days of the year. Solarhome is not interested to look into why this happened. "Oh, if it keeps on happening, we will look into it". It has happened once before, but I noticed it within half an hour and restored the breaker
Oh and a ladder blew over during the installation, damaged the guttering and broke a plant pot. Luckily it missed the fence.

Excellent service and prompt accurate installation

I was pleased that I received good communication about dates and what work would be done when. The work went very smoothly and cables were well hidden. I was keen to use high quality solar panels but disappointed that the panel sides were not framed as I had seen others in my town. Also I am sure the sales pitch included being able to monitor the power output on a smart device. This is only possible by paying extra and adding a module to the invertor. Overall I am pleased and I am receiving the SEG payments.

Good pre sales information, good updates on installation times and very quick, efficient and tidy installation. And the system appears to be working well.
