This app is great for someone who lives alone. Being a senior, you wonder how long it would be before someone knows you need help. This app gives peace of mind.

I have been using Snug for 6 months. It works exactly as it says it does. I have even tested it to make sure that it will send a notice to my emergency contact. And it does. Support has returned my email within 2 days when I have had a question.

Snug makes me free from worry that I will be laying on the ground for days without being found. Or will have been in an accident and no one will know for days.

This app is perfect for all ages and all situations. I can easily see it being used for kids in college so their parents know they are ok without being intrusive.

Our experience with the Snug app has been really great. The check-ins are great and the alerts very helpful. Also, customer service has been kind and understand and human. I recommend to everyone.

I have used SNUG for several years and I love it! Living alone and not seeing people often (such as in the pandemic) I wanted to be sure that if something happened to me there would be a way to get help. SNUG does that, easily.

Recently I was without my mobile phone and couldn't check in using the app. I sent an email and immediately received a response including a way to check in using a different phone or land line. It worked out just fine.

Not only is the SNUG service excellent, but it's free, and the customer service is outstanding. I highly recommend it.

I love this app! It's allowing a close family member of mine to live independently in their home and that means the world to me. I love how there is a set time to check in but if the user wants to check in earlier they can. It reassures me that he's ok but still giving him some privacy and removes some of the stress of me of having to take an active roll in remembering to check-in daily with him. Additionally the app support team was very helpful and followed up on all of my questions. It was easy to setup, simple to use and to teach it to my less-tech-savy family. Love it! Give it a try, you won't be disappointed.

Responses from staff very fast. Looking forward to the relationship as I am a senior living by myself.

I love that it's free to use it's basic function, and when we've tested it, the app always contacts the emergency contacts as it should.

Support response at Snug is prompt and helpful. The app works well—trying it for the first two weeks.

I have called them twice with a question. No response.

This should be 0 star, not even one.
I paid $99 for the so-called 'Dispatch plan' but I hadn't gotten any confirmation email or text message nor had my emergency contact. Eventually I have received a link to log into the customer portal, but it doesn't have anything beside my current plan, the price I paid for it and the expiration/renewal date. It doesn't provide any means of communication. I can only add another payment method and sign out. I am not sure why it's called a 'portal'.
It's only a fancy looking app. There is no way to communicate with anybody. I think it's only one person who pretends to have an office or any means to 'dispatch' anybody even your emergency contacts.
It's a sham.

I have been calling for approximately 6 and 1/2 hours and all I get is "leave a message". I have emailed countless times and no response there either. I tried to cancel my account over the phone and it won't let me put in the full number before it says unable to cancel account. I removed the app per their instructions but still receive messages that I need to check in. I'm wondering if this is legit since I can't get a human response. Zero is my real rating. Also there are 2 different ways according to them to close your account...one says delete the app and one says delete all your profile info first and then delete the app. Problem with that there is no profile info. Worst service ever. I expect to receive an automated response to this review as well. Typical.

I am a healthy 70 year old widow. I live alone with my dog in a semi-rural area since the death of my husband nearly 2 years ago. My son lives about 15 miles from me -- we keep in touch, but not daily. I always worried about what would happen to my dog if something happened to me and no one realized it for a few days. This app has given me the peace of mind I need without signing up for an expensive service. I've had it for about a week, and yesterday my son was coming to visit and I told him I was not going to check in on Snug, just to see how it would work. It worked just like it should! I got several messages reminding me to check in and then about 10 minutes after my set check-in time I got a message that it would contact my emergency contact and then my son got the message that I hadn't checked in. I do quite a bit of traveling, and since I am with others on those trips, I am happy to know I can put Snug on a vacation break and not have to be concerned about checking in if I happen to be in another time zone, or without cell or Internet connections.

It's a great app, great idea. It's free. Thanks snug.

Excellent! The app works perfectly, customer service is quick to respond and the one time I accidently missed a check-in they texted and then called me.

Terrible app with false alarms. I was sound asleep in the middle of the night and my doorbell rang. It was EMS that the Snug Safety operators had dispatched, for no reason! I did not summon help. Also they did not call my emergency contacts first, even though I am on the paid plan.

And this happened again. I was away from home, my phone in my purse, when I received a call from Snug Safety saying they had received a summons for help from me. No one had called them. If I had not been able to take their call, then since I was away from home EMS would have broken down the door to get into my home, thinking I was in need of help.

Of course I called their customer service and left emails but only got a response of "we have no record of this". They ignored subsequent calls and emails.

I plan to cancel this unreliable service. I do not want surprise EMS calls to my house for no reason.

I suspect this outfit is run on a shoestring, maybe even by just one or two people. They have technical glitches they can't resolve, so they ignore phone calls and emails.

The app works perfectly and the dispatch service is super vigilant. But if you call customer service you must leave a message and they don't return your calls. If you send an email, it will likewise be ignored! It's incredible that a company would produce such a great product and then ruin their reputation with dismal customer service.

Snug truly has been an answer to prayer. I felt uncomfortable having someone check on me daily. In today’s busy world, I know asking someone to do that would be challenging, and they might easily forget. With Snug, they remind you if you’re getting close to your check-in time if they haven’t heard from you. So far I haven’t forgotten, so my contacts haven’t had to be contacted. As far as the contacts being inconvenienced, they aren’t at all. The only way they would even be notified is if you haven’t checked in. At that point, Snug notifies them, and your contact notifies your local authorities. Your contacts have been given that information by you when you sign up. There is an upgraded service as well; however, I haven’t haven’t had the need yet to switch over. I’ve told several people about it, and they all agree it’s a wonderful and much-needed service for people on their own. I am so grateful for Snug and for those aware enough to realize there are people who truly can benefit from such a wonderful service. I feel so much safer knowing I have Snug in my life. Thank you so much!

Being elderly and living alone, the Snug Safety app gives me wonderful peace of mind.

I love Snug. I am 68, live alone, and work part time. So I am often on my own. Snug works so well that on the rare occasions when I don't check in because my phone battery dies or I oversleep, the operators are on it in minutes; on the one occasion where my emergency contact did not respond, I was visited by local law enforcement. I felt embarassed for wasting his time but comforted beyond measure. The officer immediately assured me that it was not a waste of his time.

Very helpful for my parent living alone. Initially my parent asked me to send a text to them every day as a check-in, but that was not feasible with my job and being in meetings and then the worry with how long it would take my parent to respond to my text. With the Snug app, everything is pre-set with plenty of reminders for my parent and a VERY easy check-in process for them. It has worked flawlessly for us. My parent has forgotten to check-in on Snug a few times and I was immediately notified so that I could reach out or stop by their house to make sure everything was okay. It's an app I actually trust to work when it's needed.
