Do not bother with this internet provider. Absolutely terrible connection. It barely works, it doesn’t reach my bedroom from my lounge which is only 2 meters away. Slingshots “connection test” suggest there is no issues and they have offered me an option to send something to me to “boost” it, at my expense - an extra $50 on top of what I already pay for internet that doesn’t work.

Very bad company, over charged our power 1700 units in one day for which we never used and there was no one at home at the time. Avoid them i will be removing my internet as well.

If i could give a 0 star i would because 1 is still too much for me to rate this useless company with. Absolutely the worst under the sun, avoid at every cost and go get connected with other companies. They have the worst customer support team that loves to pop you on hold every time for however long they want🤦🏻‍♀️

Power and internet really expensive even with the so called Blunder discount.

Useless service

Power supply to my hot water cylinder was switched off. We did not know until the water was ice cold. When I called, the agent who answered was great and helped. He got a contractor to contact me about coming out to resolve the issue, which was only the next day. The next day when I got up, the water was hot again and so the call out was not necessary. This is not the first time this happened and the previous time I ended up having to pay a private contractor to restore power to my hot water cylinder, which I was unable to get a refund for. Not happy with Slingshot or Unison for interrupting our power supply, nobody deserves to run out of hot water on a cold winters night. How many more times?

I feel abused by this company's customer "service" reps who did nothing to solve my slow speed issues other than send me more equipment i had to pay rental for. 1.5 years after returning one equipment which was sent to me in error, and finally switching to a much better company, I find out ive been charged rental ever since, I'm accused of never returning the modem, and asked to pay 150 for it when noone EVER told me it had not been received!! Absolute nightmare, waste of my time and frustration for their utter incompetence. Stay way at all costs.

Always seems to be issues with slingshot whan you move house. Was give incorrect information from original customer service person who said we could use current router only to get to the new house and it wouldnt work. Other customer service person we got said no you need a new router old one wont work well sent it out could've all been avoided if right info was supplied from the start...14 years a customer decided to go elsewhere all up in going easily

I wanted to cancel my account. I couldn't find a way to cancel on the app or my account online. Seemed weird as I can sign up, add services, etc but not cancel? They add steps as barriers to stop people leaving.
Anyone not confident on tbe internet would struggle, ie older customers, or me as it took me a couple of visits to figure it out.

In the end I discovered I needed to email to request to cancel. AND now that I must give THIRTY days notice. Yet my power could change over after 3. So now I'm connected with my new supplier and they want to charge me for THIRTY DAYS!

Utterly awful way to truck over your customers as they try and leave.

Tried to close account. Account hasn't been closed. Credit rating has suffered because I thought my account was closed in February and now I have 3 months of being in "arrears". Their customer service team palm you off to "finance" and then never reply. It's done my head in trying to sort this from overseas. I wish I could attach photos of the emails they've sent me to this review as a warning of the patterns.

Absolute garbage! Poor connection speeds at times and the customer service are helpless. Also increased the price after 3-4 months without any reason. I put in a request for cancellation on i think the 17th, and on the 18th my internet speed crashed, like thanks for nothing. Got in touch with the customer care, they said they will reset it but still didn't work.
I wish I had read some of these reviews and I wouldnt have gone for slingshot.

Terrible services threw them. Have had nothing but problems threw out the 3 week prolonged and failed set up of my new broadband connection with slingshot.
They sent me as a customer to check up on the late show my technician, a job they were supposed to do, failed email replies, unhelpful phone calls and then at the end of all of this said they can't get connection and there's nothing they can do for all of the mucking around. Simply put, disappointing.
Would not recommend.

If I could give 0 stars I would. The worst power company I have EVER dealt with. So rude and horrendously expensive I ended up being charged triple the amount I was being charged with my last company for the exact same power usage. Rude emails as well basically saying that if we aren't happy with their rip off service to go back to our old company.. happily. Electric Kiwi were amazing the only reason I moved to this awful company is because they were promising a "better deal"

Fees and chargers keep going up, no customer service, rip off. Never use this company. Broadband is expensive. Make complaints to Utilities Disputes

Worst broadband ever. We started with around $65 plan and then suddenly they said their costs have gone up so they need to charge more without giving good proper reason. Last month at $72 and then now they are at around $73. I will be switching broadband provider and seeking for more secure options elsewhere. You have lost another customer. The broadband speed were also never consistent in the CBD

Currently boarding at my mothers house. She is currently overseas and is having connection troubles and cannot contact slingshot over a due bill. Both my brother and I that live in the address of the account tried to find out how long we have till it is disconnected or what we can do to stop the power going off as our mother cannot pay the bill as she has no internetconnection. Its cold weather here and I have a 18 month old. Slingshot rep was dismissive and unhelpful to both me and my brother. Will not help us at all even tho we have the account number because we are not our mother who can not contact them at all. What are we supposed to do? What are you supposed to do in a situation when the account holder is unable to contact slingshot? Nothing apparently. Just f you, your warmth and your food. And yea I did tell the guy to f himself. I have a kid to keep warm! We will be changing providers once my mother has come home.

Overcharged in the 1st place and then they increased the monthly cost. The internet kept cutting out and was slow. I have joined SKY and will save about $65 per month for the 1st three months and $35 per month thereafter. Goodbye Slingshot

I changed provider as Slingshot increased monthly charges. tried to get refund for the month i paid in advance, they said no as i did not give 30 days notice, I'm not on a contract and had always paid my bill in advance.
Customer service team are arrogant and act like scammers, making things up. Asked to speak with a manager and was put on hold for ages just for the same person to come back and say they spoke with their manager. They agreed to refund the amount i had initially asked for after an hour on the phone, majority of it being on hold! They sound like scammers! So unprofessional. Have not received my refund yet....
