My husband and I made an appointment at our local mattress warehouse in Camden, Delaware. Our customer service person was Tim. He was fabulous. Tim talked with us like the next door neighbor. He explained in-depth the build of each product we were interested in so we were able to make an informed choice. Our delivery was quickly scheduled and as I type is ahead of schedule. "SWEET"!! I will certainly return to Mattress Warehouse and recommend to my friends and family.

These people are crooks !!
These people are crooks !!! I attempted to buy a full size mattress and box springs from these crooks in March of 2020. I asked to have it delivered to their store, and I would pick it up myself, which they said was no problem. They lied to me 4 times on the pickup date .... everytime I tried to pick it up they said they did not get it yet. Then the manager said he could have it delivered to my house quicker. So I agreed. I went home that night and saw their reviews on ConsumerAffairs.com, and was shocked to find this company had the worst reviews I have ever seen! I went back to the store that night and told the manager I wanted a refund. He said he would refund my money but could not give me a receipt of any kind stating confirmination of my refund. I luckily had put it on my visa card, so I called my visa and canceled the purchase with them. VISA will protect you from crooks like Mattress Warehouse. But, to top it all off, 3 days later, after the manager told me he had refunded my purchase (but refused to give me a receipt ), the delivery people called me to confirm delivery of the bed !!! Obviously, this company is the worst !!!!!! These people are worse than used car salesmen !!! I had to call that lying manager again, and tell him not to deliver that bed !!! The other reviews I have read, said some of the people suspected they got used mattresses !!! Read all the reviews on this company, folks. You will be shocked they are still in business. Do not give these people your money !!!! You will get screwed !!!!
P.S. I think the reason they wanted to deliver it to my house was so I could not return it or get my money back. ( once they put it in your house, it is yours ). After reading the reviews, I am convinced firstly, there was something wrong ...... like they did not have the bed I ordered. Secondly, I am sure it would have been the wrong bed or worse yet, some used garbage they had laying around. Either way, it is a nightmare dealing with these dishonest people ( no pun intended ). Oh, and if you call their corporate number in Maryland, you get a recording. So don't think they will be any help either.

What great customer service I received today at Mattress Warehouse on Lincoln Way East in Chambersburg, PA.
My sales lady was Tabatha. She was so knowledgeable and could answer every question I had. She took her time with me and I did not feel rushed.
She asked me exactly what I was looking for in a bed and had me lay on each bed (some of them twice) if I could not decide which one I liked better.
After everything was said and done I walked out of there happy with my purchase.
Now, I am looking forward to when my mattress and boxspring comes in for me to pick it up.

Bob and Lee helped us in the Forked River, NJ store. They were very helpful and informative. We bought a full size Serta Perfect sleeper and headboard for our guest room. The price was right and the mattress is very comfortable. Delivery was prompt and the service was very good.

I purchased a new king mattress and box springs from the Winchester, VA, location on 12/14/19. My salesperson was extremely knowledgeable, professional and polite. However, on the day of the delivery, 12/20/19, things took a very ugly turn. Despite having already paid for the removal of the old mattress and two box springs, the delivery guys refused to remove the old mattress due to three urine stains caused by my pets. These were very old stains, mind you, were not "serious" stains because they had been cleaned immediately, and how no odor to whatsoever. I was told that the mattress was considered a bio-hazard and the delivery guys could not put them on the truck with other mattresses. Never mind the fact that these were old stains which had no odor to whatsoever. Never mind the fact that ALL new mattresses and box springs come delivered SEALED in thick plastic wrapping. Never mind the fact that nothing was said to me about this when I placed the order. And, to make matters worse, these same delivery guys who refused to take the mattress, offered to "help me out" by taking the mattress if I paid them each $10 and paid the disposal fee of $30, which is apparently the disposal fee in Fairfax Station, VA. Upon calling customer service in Frederick, MD, the customer service manager, John, couldn't have been any less concerned and more cavalier about my situation. The fact that the delivery guys were willing to take the old mattress for an extra $50 was, as John stated, "between me and the delivery guys". I then asked John to pick up my new mattress and box springs and give me a refund. His reply was, "that's not going to happen". I then stated I would contact the BBB, to which he simply stated, "go right ahead". Now, folks, I ask you, is THIS the kind of company you want to support by purchasing their products??? I purchased the previous mattress and box springs from this same company. Obviously, customer loyalty means nothing either. Save yourselves a lot of heartache, folks, give your business to a company who truly appreciates their customers, not only during the sale, but more importantly, in customer service. Needless to say, I will never make a purchase from Mattress Warehouse Sleep Happens again. Their customer support is even lower on the food chain than some of the sales people you find at used car lots.

On November 18, 2019 my wife and I visited the Glen Allen, Virginia store #0127. While there we looked at several different mattresses. We worked with Laurie Hoffman, Mrs Hoffman was very nice and knowledgeable about the mattresses and pointed us in the right direction. My wife and I chose the Serta X5 that had a sale price of 2199.99 with a free adjustable base. After talking with Mrs Hoffman she offered to see if she could do better on the price due to my military service. Mrs Hoffman made a phone call, came back and told my wife and I she could give us the same deal of mattress with the free adjustable base for 1799.99. We agreed to the price and details, as well as purchased a mattress cover.
The next day our new mattress and base came, my wife called me and told me they sent a regular box base instead of the adjustable base we were promised.
I stopped by the store and spoke with Mrs Hoffman, She was the most unprofessional person I have ever delt with. Mrs Hoffman started out saying that my wife said she didn't want the free adjustable base which she didn't say. Mrs Hoffman then went on to say that she made it clear that we would only be getting the mattress as well as the standard base. When I told her that my wife never said she didn't want it,and that at no time did Mrs Hoffman ever tell us that we were only getting a standard base she started getting very loud with me, pointing he fingers at me and eventually started yelling at me. I am glad no one else was in the store otherwise her unprofessional behavior would have turned an uncomfortable situation into a very embarrassing one. I told her I wanted her managers number and she made a phone call, every time I would try and speak she would cover the receiver of the phone with her hand so I could not be heard. She wouldn't let me speak with anyone nor would she give me a number to contact. All she would tell me is that on my receipt it clearly says what we would be receiving which it does not, it gives a only a part number like I am suppose to know what part numbers go with what.
That night when I got home I sent an email detailing all of this to Mattress warehouses main offices customer service, I received no reply so after a few days I gave their customer service a call and was told they were sorry about my experience and told me I needed to speak with the district manager. I have left messages on his voice mail but as of this I have not heard anything back.
All my wife and I are asking for is what we were told we would be getting in the first place. It is very clear to us that when dealing with Mattress Warehouse you are only important prior to the sale or when the sale is being made, after they have your money you are out of luck getting a simple issue resolved.

I bought an adjustable bed and mattress from Patrick Doxzen on Queen Street in York, Pa.. With our first purchase, which was for my mother, was in May he was very helpful and patient with my mother and ultimately found a bed she fell in love with after 1 nights sleep. Fast forward to November and my mother to be moved into a semi private room. Her biggest concetn was having to give up her bed. Patrick again helped me with purchasing a twin bed for her. He was very compassionate and understanding of the situation. When it's time to purchase a bed for myself it will be Patrick whom I purchase from. Thank you Patrick. Also, I wanted to mention the men who delivered the bed were very kind and patient with usas her room was a hot mess.

We had a very pleasant experience at Mattress Warehouse recently in York PA on S Queen Street. As most couples we were trying to find the perfect bed that would work for both of us. We each preferred a different type of firmness. In choosing the appropriate mattress and box spring we tried several different brands and firmness before settling on our final choice. Throughout the process, our salesperson Barry was extremely thoughtful and helpful knowing exactly when we needed answers to our questions as well as when we needed time to figure things out on our own. Not only was he knowledgeable about all the various brands and their attributes but he was great at communicating with us throughout the process to ensure that our mattress was delivered in a timely manner and even followed up after delivery to be sure that we were happy. We highly recommend Mattress Warehouse for their service and products and definitely ask for Barry!

We were helped by the manager Howard and couldn’t have had a better experience. Howard was knowledgeable, informative, caring, friendly and no pressure. Our mattress is spectacular and we are so glad we added the adjustable/lifestyle base and our 0% finance payments are comfortably affordable. We did shop around but the service, prices and range at this location were unmatched by anyone! If you’re looking for a new mattress and are within a day’s drive of Reading Pa, (or heck, just stay somewhere over night lol )go and see Howard (he’s the Australian and British guy) and he REALLY is THE BEST!

Adam the manager at the shoppers world location is the number one customer repellent I have met lately, I have been a customer at this location for many years and have purchased numerous mattresses from here, but I will not ever return to buy from here again, I wanted to replace my Serta mattress and wanted a two sided mattress, he told me they did nothing t make them ( but I have since purchased one elsewhere so they do make them) he convinced me to buy a house brand mattress which I tried out and said ok, he said it would need to be a special order, again no problem, he then quoted me $1,139 to buy it, I said ok but I am only willing to pay $1,100 including tax, he said he would need to talk to his supervisor and would get.back to me, I said ok, but after three days and no word I returned to store to see why he had not call my cell, but before I could speak he offered up” did you get my message” which I replied no no message sent to me, he then says d his supervisor said no, I own a car dealership and I really don’t that happened over $39, he said he would try again, and again after two days no word from him, if he sold cars for me I would have fired him, but he did successfully eliminate me as your long tome customer, I have seven grown kids that follow my lead and they will not be your customers either as well as anyone else that asks me where to buy a mattress. As one business man to another, should you keep people like Adam on the front lines with your customers, I do not believe your company will be around for very long, good luck, you will need it, as for me, I will not return.

Glassboro Store - Great Customer Service!
My husband and I recently went to the Glassboro, NJ store. Jim, the salesperson, was the most helpful I have ever experienced. He took a lot of time (over an hour) with us to find us the appropriate mattress instead of just asking us a price range and giving us three options like I have experienced before. Even the next day I called him about something small and he resolved it over the phone. We have not received the bed as yet, but I would definitely recommend going here to learn about the different types of beds and having more than three minutes to make a long lasting decision! Great customer service!!!
WORSE EXPERIENCE
The most recent Mattress Warehouse experience I have had is the WORSE ONE yet. The salesmen - Scott and Sakeeb? - did their respective jobs and sweet talked their way into coercing us to buy a mattress. They made MANY promises before, and a couple after, the sale - NONE of which panned out! The BLAMED the delivery department, which is conveniently NOT A PART OF THEIR BRAND. They shrug their shoulders and wiped their hands off any responsibility. DO NOT SHOP AT MATTRESS WAREHOUSE!!! There are MANY other options to choose from.
We purchased a 6k mattress, and promise was made that they will take the old one away. When our son's mattress was delivered, they got the base for our mattress but not the mattress!!! What were we going to do with the damn base??????? So they took it back. A WEEK later, they came back with our base and mattress. They installed it, got all the paperwork signed, and told us that they would come back for the old mattress. They drove off. Needless to say, we were MAD. When we went to the store to complain, they said "Wow! But taking the old mattress to the curbside is part of their job and the mattress contract! Wow. Unfortunately, we have nothing to do with the delivery department. We contract it out. So we can't do anything."
Despite many phone calls and requests, the salesmen at the Churchmann Road's Mattress Warehouse did absolutely NOTHING. Now, we have a king size mattress sitting on our floor - for over a month now!
