Extended lead time
Was quoted 2 week lead time, but actually took 4 weeks to arrive.
Room for improvement on this occasion, and not the normal level of service I have come to expect from Silmid.

Excellent Customer Service!
First order recently placed and collected from Sil-Mid Limited after securing a major sponsorship deal on behalf of the Shackleton Preservation Trust. Great team to deal with; ultra-efficient service and great support throughout.
A local firm but a global supplier - fantastic!

Quoted delivery time did not match actually delivery!
Sil-Mid quote long lead times then do not actually meat the date they have quoted. Very frustrating and poor customer service. Always looking for alternative suppliers, even if they are more expensive, as long as they delivery on the date quoted that is worth paying for.

We have contacted JW, and whilst we have processes in place to prevent this, it is clear on this occasion the process did not work. This will now be reviewed to ensure it is more robust. JW has indicated that he will continue to use Sil-Mid when the need arises with a clear emphasis on lead times.Thank You for the feedback.
Website Slow - on any connection - Good Service
The service is fantastic but the website can be extremely slow and painful to use regardless of the internet connection. We have been using Silmid for many years and it has always been an issue.

Thank you for the feedback, this is much appreciated. We are aware of this issue and are working on it. After speaking to Mr Bunt we now know some of the pages where it was particularly slow which we will look at . We aim to continuously improve silmid.com to ensure it is a user friendly and efficient website. Faye Gallagher, Ecommerce Manager
