We had such nice tour to the Aral sea! Much thanks to our nice guide Musa and drivers. They were so helpful and made the experience complete. Our guide was fluent in english and had much knowledge about history and fact about everything that we saw, and always made sure we stayed hydrated in the heat.

The tour itself was amazing. The landscape of the old sea basin is something else. We even got to go for a swim in the Aral sea, or more like a float. The yurt camp was very comfortable and provided both refreshing showers and lovely home cooked food. The starry sky at night was out of this world, and watching the sun rise in the morning was trult magical. Dont leave Uzbekistan without booking this trip!

The tour operator did a fantastic job keeping us in the loop on what to expect and all of the details.
It was a long day, but worth seeing the beautiful city and sights!

At the last minute, I booked a one-day tour to the city of Samarkand from Tashkent with the Silkroad Tour agency. Ulugbek was very attentive—just a few hours after I booked the experience, he contacted me promptly to purchase the train tickets. He also informed me about my tour guide in Samarkand and the tour pick-up time.

Once I arrived in Samarkand, I was warmly welcomed by Aziz, an excellent tour guide who showed me the most visited sites in the city. Aziz, also provided valuable historical, cultural, and architectural information about each location. Aziz was very attentive throughout the tour, all the way until I returned to Tashkent.

I highly recommend both the company and Aziz as a tour guide, especially if you are traveling solo!

This tour is an excellent start to experiencing Uzbekistan’s wonderful culture, history and food. The local guide was excellent and had so much information to share about Uzbekistan’s history and religion while also ensuring we experienced local culture and food. The hotels are also a highlight - beautiful rooms at very very nice hotels. One of the best tours I've ever been on! Transportation and logistics were all taken care of which allowed me to throughly enjoy the trip.
